Locked Re: No Place Like London (Oliver/Nadia/Mircea)

¡°There is something to be said for living as a recluse when one doesn't age.¡± Nadia replied with a small shrug while her gaze swept the room then returned to the gentleman seated across from her. It was strange that someone who claimed to have lived on the outskirts of this city for centuries would know nothing of the dangers posed by certain individuals unless, of course, he were fishing to see just how much she knew.?
?
¡°I am here because that is where my family is¡also there are so few who would be foolish enough to risk our wrath.¡± While she rarely gave any outward signs of it she could at times be just as ruthless as her father and brothers. Most made the error of underestimating her.?
?
She watched intently as he left her company to see what could be discovered about the barmaid. There was something¡off about her. The instances were few and far between when she could recall a single instance when the compelled showed any sign at all of remembering anything. Could this woman be of use? Perhaps an offer would be extended when the opportunity arose.
?
Her eyes studied the barmaid for a few seconds longer then looked to Oliver as he returned to their table. ¡°I suppose the odd couple could be a danger though separate from what the gypsies spoke of.¡± As of yet she had no other plans for the following day so couldn't see the harm. ¡°With any luck it we will be able to get some answers if they do.¡±
?
With a fingernail she lightly traced small patterns on the tabletop while considering whether to share what little she knew of the city's dangers. One eyebrow rose at the thought though her attention wandered upon spotting her brother heading their way. ¡°The trouble I speak of goes by the names of Abraham Van Helsing and Rayna Cruz both of which have quite the reputation.¡±
?
She did have to admit to being a tad curious as to what reaction the gentleman might have to the presence of Mircea. Could be interesting as quite a few of their kind feared them on basic principle alone though on occasion they seemed particularly on edge when it came to her brother.
?
¡°Brother dear.¡± Her words a simple greeting as a smile quickly fell into place. It was a relief he had chosen to venture into London as out of all their siblings Mircea was the one she felt more at ease discussing her concerns with. ¡°But of course.¡± Gesturing toward an empty chair with a graceful flick of her wrist temporarily letting his teasing pass without response save for a quick roll of the eyes.
?
She reached out to his mind as her words were only meant for Mircea to hear. ¡®Speaking of our mother¡there is something we must discuss.¡¯ There for a brief she glanced toward Oliver then back again. ¡°I trust all went well during your travels, brother.¡±
