Re: Life in London

When Rebecca explained that drinking from animals did not allow them to heal as quickly, Ben nodded in silent understanding of the danger such a weakness could present to someone.
?
?
His expression was sympathetic when she spoke of losing a sister to the plague. "I am sorry. It's a thing that has struck over and over, and no cure for it yet. We can only hope it never returns, but I often wonder as it seems to resurface every few centuries."
?
?
He listened attentively as she spoke of her parents, but it was obvious the mother's reaction got to him the most.
?
"She was upset at what her children turned into, but she did it to you."
?
Ben's tone was incredulous and confused all at once as he slowly blinked at Rebecca.?
?
"Was she completely mad or...did you all...perhaps lose control of the blood lust too much in the beginning," he wondered a bit hesitantly.
?
Kol, who had been watching silently with a gleeful entertained expression on his face smirked and finally chuckled.

"He's got a sharp mind, Sister. And that mind is finally working itself around to wondering if we're dangerous. Well of course he understands that vampires would be dangerous, but he is wondering about that a little more personally now...I mean if our own parents wanted us dead...what ever is the matter with us," he asked, eyes glinting with a bitter light of old memories resurfacing.

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.
