August?! I didn't know it would be that long for the U.K. At this point, it's out of my control and up to the publisher.
This makes me wonder: We know that Weather Report's first album was released in the U.S. by the end of May. Did it receive a delayed release in the U.K. and in Europe? This caused me to go have a look at the archives. Melody Maker's review of Weather Report was published in the Oct. 23, 1971 issue—well after the U.S. release, and long after Down Beat's review, which appeared in the May 27, 1971 issue. So maybe it did get a delayed release overseas.
By the way, the title of the Melody Maker review was "Weather Report: a bleak outlook." :-)

...hi Curt, thanks for that -just to say that I was looking at YouTUBE yesterday and there are some great WR Joe Zawinul Wayne Shorter Miles Davis etc vids?up at the moment,but check out those posted by John Davies, he has done something with the visual clarity, I had a video and then a digital version of WR at Rockpalast 1983, but yesterday i spotted John Davis upload and the clarity -well too my eyes, has been greatly improved...
...if there is anything specific you need with regards to the uk WR gigs please pm me, i did everyone from 1975 onwards and weather update and zawinul and shorter and people like Jan garbarek...don't be afraid to ask...

...thanks for these guys, i thought i'd seen all the old Adderly recordings but this was a new one to me, thanks Michael? ...and Joe Zawinul Erdzeit -wow, brought the tears to my eyes...portrait of a man coming to terms with his own mortality in such a dignified way...it reminded?me of a pro-photo I saw around that time, it was taken from a distance, JZ sitting alone with his head down still wearing the blue jacket and blue knitted hat, it looked so? untypical that i copied it and used a bit of software that tells you all the macro info -date and time taken, camera etc...it was taken the day that Maxine passed away...it's a picture I won't forget...thanks Pierre

Weather Report Live Performance Database
Greetings Zawinul fans. It's good to see this list revived on groups.io. I wanted to let you know that I have added a live performance database to my Weather Report site.
