August?! I didn't know it would be that long for the U.K. At this point, it's out of my control and up to the publisher.
This makes me wonder: We know that Weather Report's first album was released in the U.S. by the end of May. Did it receive a delayed release in the U.K. and in Europe? This caused me to go have a look at the archives. Melody Maker's review of Weather Report was published in the Oct. 23, 1971 issue¡ªwell after the U.S. release, and long after Down Beat's review, which appeared in the May 27, 1971 issue. So maybe it did get a delayed release overseas.
By the way, the title of the Melody Maker review was "Weather Report: a bleak outlook." :-)
