Re: Anyone buy from "OUTLAND MODELS.com"?
They have a US & Printers. The US one is fairly good (7 out 10) but the China one are 50:50.
If you see images that have dozens od supports, they SUCK. Structures are hit/miss. buildings that have to be built aren't good.
BUT in his Contact, if don"t like it, return OR Contact and what is wrong (e.g. walls different (wrong) dimensions,, window frames wrong ... and he will quick reply.
?
I like Whistle Stop Models. Extremely clean prints.

Anyone buy from "OUTLAND MODELS.com"?
I want to get a simple preliminary layout in place (will later be upgrading quality of buildings/scenery over time.) Has anyone experience with OUTLAND MODELS? ?I was about to order a few buildings, vehicles, etc. but noticed they make the items from order and shop is in Chine. ?I had thought it was a US based company. ?Amazing prices but quite long delivery time and prefer to but from US based seller in event of a problem needing return.
?
Hope they are reliable & legit but also hope there is a history amongst members of this forum.
?
Let me know,
?
Thanks,
?

Re: Power feed to Rohukan track
By the number: 1. ?Thank you for your timely reply. 2. ?I am working with a train guy who is the group's electrical guru. ?He is designing an inline item that will cut off voltage at 11 or 12 volts by means of zener diode & black magic. ?I have already marked the point on the MRC where it puts out 10.0 volts. ?His device will really do the trick anyways. 3. ?If you are offering the A008 for sale let me know. ?Out of bag is OK w/ me. ?What would 2 of these run? ?I want to have one at each end of a 32" wide oval track design. Let me know total, inc shipping & preferred method of payment. ?I don't do Venmo, Apple pay or bit coin. ?I do cash, check PayPal or VISA. Thanks Don. BTW I live in Hanover, PA. ?If you are not too far from there it is good motorcycle riding weather for me & could meet to do a transaction.

I am thinking I need something other than the bare ends of the wires to do this.
Please, anyone specifically familiar with the Rokuhan track system let me know what and where to buy the needed items. I hope I don't have to order from Japan which is where all the track came from. The packages that show this feature to hook leads up to are" R028 (Oval Set A-the 110mm straight sections have the power feed points on them) R001 (Straight Track 110mm) Thank you so much. DH |

Re: MRC1300 Testing??
If somebody can send me one, I can quickly get the technical data
e.g.
Waveforms (Unloaded, pure under pure resistances range)
Low voltage 'Pulse-Power'
Peak 'spikes'
Short handling
Actual running on my Test Tracks
etc.
?
Turn around week or less

Re: MRC1300 Testing??
开云体育Just a heads up. I am hearing multiple reports of older MRC1300s failing. Some have even damaged AZL locos due to the higher voltage output of a failed device. I would be very caution using older MRC1300s, or purchasing these 2nd hand as there could be folks looking to dump failed controllers.?Rob “Zeeing is believing…" Follow us on Facebook!? www.facebook.com/ztrackmagazine Ztrack Magazine Ltd. Re: MRC1300 Testing??
Failed the bulb test and further research showed using the multimeter to test for variable voltag was the right way. ?Seller gracious & refunded $ with an apology. DH

just to double check, get an automotive 12v bulb (that can be sacrificed) and try it... you will know if it is constant output or not.

Re: MRC1300 Testing??
My Tech II Railroad Power 1400 also reads in the range but with the logo on the track it goes virtually zero. The wiring inside shows that there are a tap in the potentiometer for speed that controls when the pulse power drops out so I think this is something like Rokuhan did in their controller. There’s pulses enough to keep LED lights on and a passenger car that say, but certainly not run the locomotive. Jeff Merrill 408.888.1551 BAZ BoyZ (a.k.a. MRC1300 Testing??
Just rec'd a MRC1300 for my yet to be assembled Z trains (MARKLIN) Wanted to test output. Got 19.6vAC for accessories terminals. The DC output is a constant 15.6vDC, not affected by dial position. Is this a wrong test? Does the controller need to be connected to track/engine to get accurate results? Did I buy a defective unit on ebay? Only the shadow knows,...or one of you out there. Help me out please. |
Be Part Of The Next Layout Tour (So. Calif.)
Be Part Of The Next Layout Tour (So. Calif.) [Please do not hit “Reply”. Contact me directly.] Model Railroads of Southern California’s next layout tour will be Saturday, February 15. The tour area will be Burbank and the surround cities. Railroads in any scale plus garden railroads are welcome to participate. I would like you to consider participating in the tour. Participating in a layout tour is a great way to share your work and meet your fellow model railroaders. You’ve probably worked hard on your railroad so you might as well get some recognition from people who will appreciate your efforts. All you need to do is operate your trains. I will do all the planning and publicity, as I have done for sixty-four previously tours since 2006, including tours for the NMRA national convention (Anaheim), the National Narrow Gauge Convention (Pasadena), the Southern Pacific Historical & Technical Society, the Santa Fe Historical & Modeling Society and several PCR and PSR regional conventions. The tour is self-guided (No busses) and free. If you have any questions before committing to the tour, please ask. In any event, please contact me directly in the next several weeks if you are interested so we can add your railroad to the tour. Once you have been added to the tour, I will contact you to establish the hours that work best for you. Thank you. Bob Chaparro Moderator Model Railroads of Southern California
