this is so hard to write. But the maine reason I have not been on here is I’m not doing well. I have been in and out of the hospital alot. They are even talking about.it maybe time for me to go to a home. It’s getting hard for Kerrie. But on a good note about 6 months ago Bonnie got new hearing aids.And they are fixing them to fit me. Just stopped to say hello – hope everyone is doing well.

Happy New Year to you all. I sure hope everyone had a great time at Christmas and New Year’s. Shania and I are doing well. My stepson and his wife were here for several days after Christmas and they shampooed my carpet and did several other things for me. I’m so lucky. Will be having another Christmas when both of my sisters and I get together this weekend. J

Its so hot & humid here. I dont think summer will ever end. I am just so grateful that hurricane missed up! OMG. My cousin's daughter in the outskirts of Panama City are safe & got out with one of their two cars & the clothes on their back. Their roof blew off & windows blew up. They are dramatized. They are in Texas now with my cousin. So sad for so many. Pickles & Geno are doing great! Pickles is acting more like a yorkie of one year old so they may have all said was older like 4 because she just laid around with pain. Now that she is healing she is so active & playful! She still has the apparatus on her face She goes for check up #3 today & hopefully next week she will have the brace removed. Geno still hand feeds her with the cone on & they walk 3 to 4 times a day. She has quite a group of the neighbors on the street who come outside to greet her on each walk. She thinks she is queen of the universe! He lives in a retirement area so all the seniors look forward to coming out to see them as they pass by. He cant wait till he can get out the toys for her. Sue, Geno said her favorite bed is her ball bed! I have to go thru & see if I have any cute dresses or harness vests of Sweet Pea's that might fit her. I will try to send pictures. Geno said she LOVES her ball bed! Hasnt gotten out of it much! I will have to write more later. She wont let him out of her sight! She follows him everywhere. She is super quiet. He is worried she hasnt barked. lol She just wants to be with him. He said she was very good taking her meds for him this morning. I gave them all to her before I left last night so I knew she would be no trouble. She takes prednisone (getting weaned off it) has to have ear drops in both ears twice a day& clavamox twice a day. He said she is afraid of thunder as she started shaking but he picked her up & she settled down. They are just spending the day together today & watching tv as its been storming on & off. here are two pictures. I never can remember who group Sue see & responds in so I send them to both. rescue Donna called & said he feels the head tilt was from the severe ear infections. He wasnt to keep her till tomorrow to be sure the ear is looking better tho & he rechecks her again. So we are excited!!! We will leave after I get off tomorrow at 2 to head down. Its a good hour drive down there (I hate going to Miami). I am to call the vet directly tomorrow at noon to talk with him & make sure he feels she can come home tomorrow. So we are encouraged & happy with the news so far. waiting to hear from the vet. the nurse told the rescue director Donna that she did ok & was eating this morning. But the details will come from the vet after he finishes surgery this morning. so we wait. Geno is upset of course but isnt giving up on her. I told him it has to be HIS choice but he wants to hear what the vet says which I knew he would. This isnt my favorite rescue but I do recommend them at times. One of the big dogs hurt Abby & she is hospitalized with a neck injury. I am so upset. I did talk with the vet. He will speak to me after the exrays etc. I dont want to start Geno off with a little one with problems. I havent told him yet as I am working. She has a severe ear infection too & he feels that is why she walking maybe with a head tilt. I never heard of that. Geno will be crushed. yes he is all excited for sure! I helped him decided on the food & ordered him doggy steps. I had an extra elevated dog bowl set, I gave him some fleece blankets for her. He doesnt want her to sleep with him as he is afraid he will roll over on her but we will see how long that lasts. lol I am loaning him a playpen for when she comes home Wednesday as that is when she will be spayed. This morning we drove to Miami to an all breed rescue I know there. She contacted me as she took in a yorkie owner surrender - female = 8 lbs - one year old. I showed Geno & he was interested! He is retired from the county now so this is great for both them! It was love at first sight for both. She was kissing him & loved his lap! She will be spayed Tuesday & we pick her up on Wednesday when I get off work. Her name is Abby so he isnt going to change her name as she answers to that. She is so sweet! Now I have to go thru my stuff & give him all he needs for her! He will have to order doggy steps tho. Here is their picture. Peanut saw Dr Donna yesterday as she has a little cough & was gagging. She was due for her yearly anyway which I put off as Heidi has drained the money tree. Peanut does have immature cataracts & now developed a grade 2 heart murmur on the right & a grade one on the left. She has never had any before this. They did blood & urine to check everything. We may have to do ex rays or she may have to see the cardiologist but we will wait for the blood work. She acts fine. Her fur is very spare but that is due to her budesonide she takes for her IBD. Here are 2 pictures I took when we got home from her vet visit. Our Dr Donna lost her Breezie (her boxer) this week to a cancerous brain tumor. She was 11 1/2 yrs old in July. hurray! Heidi saw the eye specialist today & he said the ulcer has healed but the something about the healing process left a divot just above the cornea which we have to watch as it may never heal completely because of her age & being on prednisone. He changed her drops to which she only gets once a day now. She is still hobbling around in her cast. We have 6 more weeks to go in that. Its so miserably hot here! In the 90's & sweltering humidity. I am hibernating inside for the summer. I go out to water my orchids! I am off today & tomorrow to use up my vacation. Then Monday I start part time = Mon - Thurs 8:30-2:00. I hope I can make it on SS & half my regular pay. If not I will have to get another part time job. No more vacation or sick or holiday pay & he stops the health insurance allowance.
