Re: Hello

I'm here - settling into my new job and life in the Berkshires.? Busy, busy.? Huge stack of yarn bins in the yarn storage part of the basement, waiting to be organized.? Knitting socks for Parker, but not much else (though I might start a simple garter blanket soon).? The new job is busy, busy - primary care pediatrics when everyone's immunity has become naive is crazy days, plus I've got administrative duties on top of my full clinical load.? No more overnights in the hospital, so that's something.??

I'm here too.? I've been mostly trapped at home since the end of September as we had both full bathrooms in our house redone.? DH and his fellow engineers used to have a joke that for time estimates you needed to halve the number and increase the increment by one step, and that was about it. My 8 week project turned into 4 1/2 months, and still lacks a few finishing details.? The recent ice storm here has just added to the fun, as we lost a few big trees, and lots of other branches.

I am enjoying being a grandmother, thankful to have Tinybeans and Facetime since we are at a distance.? As we get closer to retirement we are starting to look at houses in Colorado (where Stephen grew up, and the grands and other family live).

Still knitting, mostly little things, and looking forward to a lot more travel going forward.

I'm here, and fine! Busy working (on and off, more than I'd like, why can't I just retire??), grandmothering, trying to keep the home place from disintegrating around us (or flooding, or burning). Thinking about getting old and making changes - but so far, just in the thinking stage.

What I haven't been doing much is knitting..for the first time in many years, I've gone weeks at a time lately without lifting knitting needles. Just thinking about swatching for a lightweight cardigan in some vintage Rowan 4-ply soft, though.

How about the rest of you? I know many of us run into each other on FB and Instagram now and then and feel somewhat connected that way - I'm always happy for those glimpses of what you're up to.
