Had to stop on kitchen planning and get the basement ready for the carpet. They weren’t supposed to install until end of the month but they had a cancellation and moved us up. So on Tuesday and Wednesday, we worked until after midnight getting it emptied out and the walls & ceiling painted. (The prior owner left a lot of “stuff.” We told her we’d deal with it because she had to be back at her job only 3 days after we closed. (She moved back to Texas). Long story
Still need to finish painting trim down there—windows & doors.
In the walk-out basement is where my craft/sewing room will be. And my looms and wheels will be at the one end of the big room. Here are pics after carpet. It’s a cut& loop carpet that should work great for the looms and wheels. It’s low pile but very nice and squishy and feels good to walk on.
Along that back wall will be my floor looms.
Weird stone fireplace at the other end.
This is my sewing room
It’s a good sized room but small closet. I’m losing my monster storage closet. Boohoo!! ?
Just so you have an idea of what we were dealing with, this is a pic of what the sewing room looked like before we painted
Purple trim and painful, almost fluorescent yellow walls and bare cement floor.
So nice now!
