The only difference is that I have a copy of each pattern in Dropbox, my hard drive, or an external drive. Everything is still in my Rav Library.? I probably had most of them in Dropbox anyway b/c most were placed there so I'd have access to them on KnitCompanion.
After the sudden announcement that Bluprint/Craftsy was closing with the attendant confusion, I felt it was the cautious choice now was to download my patterns.? If Ravelry continues to implement ill-conceived management decisions, I'm not confident that they won't do something nutty such as close down while I'm busy off line, so I acted.
My hope is that they learn and change from this experience.? I enjoy online communities and have learned so much exploring them.? I don't use Facebook, but I see that I may be channeled into it.?
