I don't know about you, but February s**ks, even when there's no pandemic.
Here's possible relief if you're a yoga fan or wannabe.

BTW This comes from Small Club Networking, an email group started by our friends
at PVRC (Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club) in Springfield. ?It's obviously spread
its infection far beyond the Pioneer Valley.

To keep our members engaged through the pandemic (and to reduce the number of “missed” practices due to back pain) we have started “Yoga for Rowers”, A Zoom class specifically for rowers every Tuesday evening at 6 PM EST. By now it is joined by rowers from coast to coast.
It is free to participate.?

On March 20th, at 3 PM EST we do a special Zoom workshop on “Hip & Back Exercises: Prevent/reduce pain and improve your stroke!”. Again, it is free to join. Details and registration here:?

Hi all - Mark and I took this yoga class last night and it was excellent - solid, enjoyable strengthening/stretching yoga with a great emphasis on application to masters athletes in general and rowers in particular. The instructor, as a PT, is very knowledgeable and wove in some excellent info/explanations/tips about specific muscle groups and physiology. And, of course, it was fun to "meet" other rowers....a nice medium-size zoom group of friendly, welcoming folks from near and far. Recommend! - Ellen
