There is all kinds of action at sportsman’s boat launch. The jetskis in particular are out till dark. They are meeting up with people at the beach next to NCR and it is party central. We are trying to get the city to take care of the beach and today our coaches filled 8 bags of trash from the beach that was left yesterday. We did get them to agree to put a dumpster for one month in our parking lot as a pilot program. There are diapers, broken bottles, full trays of meat leftovers, toys, clothes and more. If you live in the City, please concoct your city council rep and the Mayor. It’s only June. It’s so depressing to see our beautiful river full of human trash. Check out Linda Hannum’s video on Facebook. And here are some photos?

So, just a reminder… Please remember to close the door if you are the last one to leave the premises. If the key code is not working on first try, remember to punch in the numbers, very slowly, and repeat if necessary. There is also an activator button on the left side of the door on the inside, so the door could be closed using that as well.

Re: Green Peinert outside rack ?

I realize I am making a suggestion that I cannot actually do (because I don't have the skills, and because I am currently sidelined with a sore rib)--but at my last rowing club, we built a little roof over the outdoor racks to protect from UV rays, falling branches, hail, and the like. Buying lots of boat covers is far more expensive., as is letting the boats deteriorate.
