Thanks Ernie!? And thanks to Brenda who surfaced this longstanding and recently neglected annual occasion. I think I last did this in 2018 or 19, then we had various family things and the Covid came. So here we are.

I was reminded in June when, between misplace and replaced mirrors, I managed to pinpoint a speed buoy and ended up in the river. So its good to practice.

And better with the good company of Yankee folk.
Enjoy the water!!

Jonathan will be leading us in a self-rescue demonstration and practice session on?Saturday, August 17, at 7:30 a.m. at the marina dock. Bring a towel. (In case of bad weather/water/wind, Sunday, August 18 at 7:30 a.m. will be the back-up date.)??

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. It's important to know how to self-rescue in case you fall into the river. Even if you've?done a self-rescue drill previously, it's good to do it again now and then. We used to do this regularly, at least once or twice a season. But we haven't done it in a while. We're hoping to return to doing it on a regular basis.?
