YACC Maps
Hi, I've just started using YACC on Linux (Debian 12) with Direwolf and a USB CM108 modem, I downloaded the pre formatted tiles for my location (England GB) and unfortunately there are a few issues

Re: Windows odd behavior
What port driver did you select to talk to the Yaesu radio? The Yaesu APRS radios use their own non-standard way to deliver APRS packets to the serial port, so you have to use the Yaesu (not Kenwood

Windows odd behavior
Hello, I installed YAAC on a, I believe a Windows 10 machine. ?The radio is a new FTM-500 and the idea was to display a map of APRS traffic around the location. ?I could see raw packets on messages

Re: winlink password prompt - how to get re-prompted
Greetings. There are two issues here: 1. The password will only be forgotten when you shut down YAAC (it is cached in memory but not to disk so you don't have to send it again for any YAAC

winlink password prompt - how to get re-prompted
Hi, I just set up my winlink and wanted to try it via APRS/YAAC. The first time I tried to send mail YAAC prompted me but I used the wrong password. Now YAAC doesn't seem to want to prompt me again.

Re: YAAC, Dire Wolf & ICOM-9700
Hi Andrew, Thanks for the tips -- shortly after posting here last night I got it working. All that was needed was tinkering with the "connectors" menu to setup FM data mode for USB (not ACC), and

Re: YAAC, Dire Wolf & ICOM-9700
If the Direwolf startup tells you your version already has HamLib in it, you just need to ask your installed version's rigctl (the command-line interface to HamLib) to print out its list of supported

YAAC, Dire Wolf & ICOM-9700
Greetings all, With the demise of my old TM-V71A + RC-D710 rig, I decided to splurge on an entirely new rig -- ICOM-9700. (I'll use this for a lot more than APRS and it's been several years since I

Re: Web site down?
I'll take a look at that. Unfortunately, my RC-D710 head is probably fine. It's the TM-V71A that died. I put the original control head back on it and still nothing powers up. No obvious breaks to

Re: Web site down?
Paul, Do you still have the original control head for the TM-V71A? If you added an RC-710D, the radio must have had an original control head at one time, yes? Don't spend money to fix the RC-710D.

Re: Java upgrade and config
I suggest you try starting YAAC with the 'java' (not 'javaw') command in a Command Prompt window, so you can see any error messages while YAAC is running. In particular, see if you get any "permission

Re: Java upgrade and config

Re: Web site down?
Well, the software TNCs run rings around the hardware TNCs built on the old basic TNC2 architecture. So (assuming only the RC-D710 control head failed) if you can put the old V71A control head back on

Re: Web site down?
Hi Andrew-- Thanks, the site is working now. I wanted to see what other rigs YAAC supports. It seems my Kenwood TM-V71A + RC-D710 died today after about 13 years of faithful use. It'll be sent in

No, I forgot to update the DNSSEC keys again, and it was on my calendar for Monday. :-( The DNSSEC update has been applied; not sure how long it will take to get to the secondary name

Web site down?
Say, is the www.ka2ddo.org site currently down? I wanted to check a couple things, but can't reach it. Thanks! 73, KD0KZE / Paul
