Re: RepeaterBook Plugin
Of course, that won't work if you're off the Internet. Hmmm, .... unless the data gets cached the way the CallsignDB plugin caches license database information for offline use. Andrew, KA2DDO

Re: RepeaterBook Plugin
What RepeaterBook? Since ARRL outsourced the Repeater Directory program to RFinder (and they made it solely a phone app), I don't know of any PC-accessible repeater directory any more.

RepeaterBook Plugin
Any thought to having a RepeaterBook plugin so there can be an overlay of repeaters (and related infrastructure) on the map from that service? 73, Eric WG3K

Re: dont communicate with my tnc
Sorry about the slow turn-around. Does your TNC support KISS mode? If so, did you enter the appropriate commands to put it in KISS mode? The Serial_TNC port in YAAC only supports TNCs that can do KISS

Re: YAAP not logging rain (revisit Sept 20 #547)
Nice, but not quite enough. I only see the &CR& records (Complete Record) (although they do have obvious non-zero "Today's rain" values; none of the every-1-minute WeatherText nor any Data Logger

Re: Monitoring KPC3+ in Command Mode instead of KISS?
No, it's just going to be the Yaesu port type (with corresponding updates in the built-in help files to explain it). I've already finished the change; it turned out to be pretty trivial (assuming I

Yup, standards are great...when they actually follow them and don't keep making up new ones just because.? Kinda like all the different digital voice standards! I look forward to the next release.?

Re: 2m-70cm crossband messaging
Yes, it will work quite well, _unless_ you configure to cross-band digipeat everything from the 9600 baud channel to the 1200 baud channel. Then you may be flooding the 1200-baud channel with more

Re: 2m-70cm crossband messaging
Hmmm... that's kind of violating the basic structure of APRS, which is that _everyone_ in the local area is intended to hear what is going on (unlike precisely-targeted connected-mode AX.25 packet).
