For those who haven't been able to get YAAC working on Microsoft Windows since accepting a Java 8 upgrade past build 281, I think I have a fix. But I can't build the fix into YAAC because it requires installing a licensed Microsoft product. So, you need to download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (either x86 or x64, depending on the version of the Java runtime you are using); note it won't hurt (other than using extra disk space) to install both versions on x64 version of Windows. I hope I have the correct year of the Redistributable. This can be downloaded from the Microsoft website at (x86 version) (x64 version) Let me know if this still doesn't fix your problem.
