the dmesg output, as well as that from? "$ lsusb"? will identify the maker of the USB
chip used by the KPC-3+
(I'm guessing, but adding a common USB/Serial bridge chip to an
existing product design, is a common easy(ish) way to add such
functionality, but sadly such things are not all equal in their
capabilities.? In particular, to my knowledge so far, only FTDI
provide a unique serial number, that is "Oh So Useful" in UDEV
rules, to differentiate between similar products that use the same
bridge chip!)
