No /dev/ttyAMA0 device either? Some USB-to-serial chipsets use that device name instead.
You might want to execute the "lsusb" command so see if anything is actually on the USB bus. It might be an unrecognized device vendor code, or the cable between the radio case jack and the TNC board might not be plugged in correctly (or at all). What the YAAC port types specify is what is on the other end of the communications cable, such as a Serial_TNC for a Terminal Network Controller connected through a serial port. Similarly, Serial_GPS specifies a GPS receiver connected through a serial port. Note that the Linux user account running YAAC will have to be a member of the group owning the serial port device (such as /dev/ttyUSB0), or YAAC will not have permissions to open the port. Typically, this will be the "dialout" group. Type the "groups" command at a shell prompt to see in which groups your account is a member.
