Re: Bikestats Plugin

Also, is there a way to change the text colors? From the picture you can see that you can barely read the entries in the first line. Those are from the station using this.

Here's a picture of how I set the columns and another picture of how they look after restarting YAAC.

I will look into this. Table column settings and window sizes and positions are supposed to be persisted. There may be an issue with when Bikestats adds the columns that causes the column layout to be discarded.

It looks like the column size and order does not persist across a
reboot. So, I get everything set the way I want it, but then when I shut
it down, carry it to the NCS location and set it up, I have to
reconfigure all the Station/Object stuff over again, including the
filters. As the site will be running on generator that will have to be
shut down and refueled periodically, All those columns and filters will
need to be reset on each restart. That will be a nuisance, and possibly
beyond the skillset of the NCS operators.

Oh, well. It was a nice idea at the time.

Regarding your questions:

1. The Range filter has to be enabled, and all it does is control whether you will be notified if a station or object enters or leaves the range around the filter's center point. This is mostly only useful with the sounds plugin, which can report when a station? or object becomes in-range or out of range, i.e., did a mobile station
become close enough to you for you to want to care about it?

2. YAAC does persist column sizing _and_ _order_ until you change the number of columns. So don't size or order them until you finish defining your new columns. Rather than squishing a column down to minimum width, you can drag it to the right to make it? less obvious (or drag the column left to make it more obvious). You do
this by dragging the column headers, same as you do in spreadsheet programs.

3. To add a Mic-E status column, I would have to change the table code. It's doable, but then there's one _more_ column in an already extremely wide table. And the Mic-E information is displayed on the map (both directly as colored circles around the icons,? and as text in the popup window if you click on a station).

4. Loading and saving local Object files allows you to keep a reference copy of a set of Objects you want to plot on a map or share out-of-band with other users. For example, I keep a set of Object definitions I created for the rest stops on the bicycle public service events I work, so the fixed rest stop locations can be
displayed on the YAAC map the same way the mobile SAG vehicles with trackers are displayed.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Re: [yaac-users] Bikestats Plugin

After playing around with this, I think it will be useful. Some
questions, though.

There are a lot of columns in the Station/Object list we don't really
care about. I see I can resize the column to almost eliminate it, but is
there a way to eliminate it completely? If I restart YAAC or edit the
Station/Object list through the configuration tool, it restores all
columns to their original size and I have to change them all back to how
I want. Any way to make those kinds of changes persistent?

Is there a way to include a MicE column on the Station/Object list?

I see buttons for saving and loading Objects files, but I'm not really
sure how to utilize that.
