Yet again I stumble. I meant sending WINLINK email via APRS is what I was told was obsolete. There is a way to send generic email via APRS. I just do not know the details. I think my son got it working, I will consult with him.

Email Obsolete?? Perhaps, but I am just getting my feet wet with APRS after a long sleep from Packet Radio in the 80s.
