A wandering GPS will usually wander around the neighborhood. For a
consistent 40 mile error, something else is probably happening.
There’s something that needs to be fixed. But I still am wondering how
far your house moves on a regular basis.
Reminds me of the early days of consumer GPS in the 1990's, when they still scrambled
the fine resolution of the position. I remember being parked in a friend's driveway,
and seeing my reported position moving in a circle about a mile in radius. Equipment
was a Delorme TripMate (which, alas, doesn't work any more because it couldn't
handle the GPS 1024-week rollover).
Why not just input a fixed location into your equipment?
Maybe he's living the RV lifestyle in a motorhome? :-)
