That is strange. It sounds like you had a startup failure after it created the first window, but before it set up the menus. Can you privately send me the YAAC.out file from your YAAC logdir directory? Hopefully, there will be an error message in that file that reports where the failure is.

When I upgraded my YAAC v163 to a newer version (on a Linux PC); I lost the top level menu...no File, no View, etc. The shortcut keys to those menu would not work either. As of this writing, I am not in front of the Linux PC so cannot give you specifics Linux version I am running and any other debug info. I'll update info when I'm able. The newer versions of YAAC run fine on Windows 10 PC. When I search bugs or message; I can only get the help menu discussion.
Has anyone seen the loss of the menu bar since v163?
