Thanks Karl,.
On of my favorite things to do: midi up my emu XL7 drum machine to my
M12 and replace each drum with a patch I write from scratch. It seems
I've never been good at making a patch of a sound that I want.
Randomness is my friend;-)
I have to tweak the drums to get them to sound good together. Try
using the ramps ( set to Zero ) instead of envelopes, the attack
sounds faster to me. Use an envelope for the decay or put the ramp
through a tracking generator.
How can you use a ramp for attack without using it's decay/ The
start/end times are not adjustable as with envelopes?
I've heard this many times over the years- that the XPander ramps are
faster than the envelopes, but my ear doesn't hear this, probably
because I'm not doing something else correctly with the ramp.
I still do not have midiOX running on my studio computer (no time) so
Installing & running Midiox takes less timt than tho send this email ;-)
It's not complicated- although the UI could be a little more
convenient to use when sending/receiving patches.
BTW what ever happened to XevenT? I really liked the concept there.
What do you mean- whatever happened to it?
