Re: Patched BASE firmware with changed TX audio filter low cutoff frequency #firmware
Hi Keith. WSJT-x and FT8 application in alternative firmware uses a frequency shift for transmitting. Generated audio have almost same base frequency (something like 1500 Hz). So - even 500 Hz of

Re: Patched BASE firmware with changed TX audio filter low cutoff frequency #firmware
Thanks a lot for information. Not sure, how much time it might took, I'm almost have no experienced with ASM and small with C/C++, but I'll try). сб, 7 дек. 2024 г., 20:03 Franco Venturi via

Re: Patched BASE firmware with changed TX audio filter low cutoff frequency #firmware
Georgy??? for FT8 it would be useful to have audio up to 3500 Hz?? when busy guys go up high to avoid QRM.? so 300 - 3500 or even 3600 would be great.? The factory firmware should have had that

Re: Patched BASE firmware with changed TX audio filter low cutoff frequency #firmware
Gergy, the MCU baseband firmware has enough space in RAM that it would be possible to append extra code/functions at the end to implement additional functionality. Since the STM32F4 is a ARM Cortex-M4

Re: Patched BASE firmware with changed TX audio filter low cutoff frequency #firmware
Hm.. I thought about more elegant solution - without reflash. But this might be an option too. Only one concern - current version can't flash new firmware. I'm afraid I can brick my radio while

If you could attaché a MFK option to call a Linux system function then it should be possible to reload a copy of the bbfw modifiyy and restart imho … DE M0RWV .

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0
OEM firmware is using older linux kernel. As far as I understand - this network adapter is relatively old. Driver for it might be disabled in new kernel configuration or removed from the source code.

Re: FM RX/TX issues
I guess I know where FM signal demodulated within decompiled BASE firmware. Perhaps, it might be multiplied by some value for increasing modulation level. I'll take a look. -- Georgy // R2RFE

Re: Patched BASE firmware with changed TX audio filter low cutoff frequency #firmware
Well, upper bound defined near lower in code, so, I guess, it's possible. I wonder, how to make this frequencies configurable during the runtime. Maybe someone have an experience with patching binary?

Re: STM32 MCU port damaged used to read the CW key input #development #firmware
Thomas, since the Xiegu baseband firmware for the STM32 MCU is encrypted, I think you need their bootloader that has their decryption key to load it. What might work is to decrypt it first, and then

Big thank you to Georgy for this fantastic firmware. Audio is much more pleasant. Is there any possibility of extending the high frequencies to around 4Khz? Been looking at YouTube videos of eSSB and

Re: Volume lower than I remember (???)
Well, if you did not restored previous params.db file after upgrade then you probably have default value of RF Gain which is 63. If so setting it to 100 may help.
