Re: X6100 PWR consumption wit external PSU
The output transformer of the X6100 is very weak. It is not designed for a power of more than 5W - therefore, there are very frequent cases of its burnout after working in digital modes at 10W.

Re: X6100 PWR consumption wit external PSU
Hi. Yes, 3S would be suffcient and imho even optimal. In this group you will find people who measured input voltage vs output power for this rig. Between 9 and 10 V is fine. Most of the input is

Re: X6100 PWR consumption wit external PSU
Tnx Robert for pointing to this issue. I'm already using LiFePO4 and only used the wrong terminus. Sorry. So you recommend a S3 configuration as sufficient? Is this the case even for 10W

X6100 Description of Making CW, RTTY, PSK app work?
Are there any manuals or descriptions showing how to make the X6100 apps work (in particular CW and RTTY)? (My hearing is quite bad, so YouTubes with echoey audio doesn't help me much. :-(

CAN you MAINTAIN a X6100 WiFi Connection?
I can connect my X6100 to my WiFi network, and WFView "works" (minimally, more about that in another topic!) But, after a period of time, the X6100 drops the WiFi connection. Of course, WFView can't

Is WFView misidentifying my X6100?
I'm trying to use WFView with my new X6100, APP 1.1.7 BASE 1.1.6, via WiFi, for remote access. I can connect but WFView claims it's talking to a (IC?)705! Some controls and functions work but most

Re: Battery will not charge
I will be sourcing the parts that matter in that kit from china. The prices for the kits, (there is a G90 kit as well) are too expensive for what you get IMO.

Like death and taxes there is a 100% certainty the battery in your 6100 will fail. ?Not stocking batteries indicates the manufacturer identifies its product as disposable. ?There are a couple of

Re: X6100 PWR consumption wit external PSU
Consider LiFePO4 instead of Li-ion. The voltage is of LiFePO4 is lower, and that is beneficial for this rig.? LiFePO4 in 3S has just the right voltage for this rig (9,6 V nominal, instead of 11,1 V

That is very odd, and begs the question: exactly what voids the warranty, when the tamper seals are broken? https://www.radioddity.com/products/xiegu-x6100-spare-parts-kit *All-in-One Accessories:*

Well, it's a bit odd that Radioddity now sells a parts kit for the X6100 that unfortunately doesn't include the battery or charging circuit, and it does say this: *Warranty-Friendly:* Don't worry

Hi Ron, The X6100 has a couple of bad ideas in the design, not the least of which is having a too small battery to do any real good. But my main gripe with it is their use of two processors. It's fun
