Should I really buy one?
First a bit of context about me:

Re: My new X6100 arrived today
True. ?Since the X6100 has an actual battery voltage meter rather than a crude battery level icon with three or four bars, I guess I can live without the finished-charging indicator. ?It's easy

I read about cycling the battery in the X6100 so I left mine running on the internal battery this morning. ?I thought it would do an auto-shut down at 7.2V, but I got as low as 7.1V (briefly dipping

Re: CW & Digital Decoder, FM squelch & RF gain?
I have found a very capable CW decoder called "Morse Expert" by the author of CW skimmer. It uses Bayesian statistics to predict what was sent when a letter is not 100% sure (the letter will be red).

I’ve yet to see a decoder worth a darn, the one in my FTDX-10 included.
Unless you are in a high signal to noise ratio with no qsb environment… AND
you have the speed of the decoder matched

Dennis,
You may or may not know but
There are several software apps that may help you with using the X6100 and a good cw decoder and they are very easy to see for older eyes especially.
