Re: Buildroot 2025.05-rc2 for R1CBU/R2RFE firmware and for wicknix color mods
Wicknix, thanks for the clarification.
?
Please note that these images are built on buildroot 2025.05 release candidate 2.
In a few days, when the buildroot 2025.05 comes out, I'll rebuild them from their official release.

However there are more changes to CM3 than just the color mods and custom styles. I¡¯ve linked to it with more info on the other mods included. I¡¯m mirroring your build there as i¡¯m having build issues i need to sort out at the moment. I might just end up updating to your latest buildroot release and start over fresh.

Re: IFTx on Xiegu X6100
When using a computer with the USB connection, I need to ensure the radio is in the right mode: USB-D or Dig U, instead of just USB, so it'll listen to the sound card interface instead of the mic. On Fri, May 30, 2025, 12:11?PM Phil Atchison via <hamwa5pql=[email protected]> wrote:

Buildroot 2025.05-rc2 for R1CBU/R2RFE firmware and for wicknix color mods
I updated my repository with the buildroot config files for the latest buildroot version 2025.05-rc2 for R1CBU/R2RFE firmware.
You can find them here:
?
The SD card image is available here:
?
I also created a branch called 'wicknix' where the only change is wicknix color mods to x6100-gui (including the no-code custom styles).
The SD card image for that version is available here: ?
A few highlights:
? - linux kernel: 6.14.8
? - u-boot: 2025.04
? - aether-x6100-control: 0.15.8
? - x6100-gui: 0.30.2 (0.30.2-CM3 for wicknix)
? - x6100-webserver: 0.0.4
?
Please give it a try, and let me know if you find any problem.

Re: No-code styles customization for R1CBU/R2RFE firmware
Changes from patch (I guess) can't be applied, because sources (radio.c) was changed. Take a look at line 60 of patch - during patching program opens src/radio.c, goes to line 348 and expecting to see next code
but file was changed and it see at 348 line.
?
Patches and new code is not match.

You can merge my changes to your branch locally. Well i screwed something up and it deleted all my changes. No big deal. I ended up just syncing your current branch. However, i can't even build your current branch. Only changes made was to the colors. It errors out at the patching stage. Any ideas?

Re: For Sale: X6100 & XPA-125B
BTW, if you using OEM GUI and your radio part is stuck for some reason, but GUI still alive and you have a PSU connected - you can start upgrade firmware from the UI. This procedure perform a hard reset of the BASE part, which may recover your radio in most cases without disassembly.

Re: Modified BASE firmware - rev2
Found a way to export ghidra project as an XML, put this XML to base patch repo. It contains some variables/functions names and known structures (not 100% sure, that all correct, but anyway). I hope, it might be helpful, if someone will want to investigate/disassembly. I'm not a Ghidra expert, if there is a better format to share project - let me know).

Re: No-code styles customization for R1CBU/R2RFE firmware
I like the color schema.? Thanks to R1CBU, Wicknix, Marcus, and all that have invested their time and shared their knowledge to produce this new functionality and improve this radio. Still have to discover and learn how to use all new things embedded in this mods like the styles customization from fventuri and more. 73 Rob YS1RS

Thanks, Andy.

Re: Pushing the PTT, I tried that, and many other ways to get it out of transmit, none of which worked on my unit.? The very small magnetic switch is simply hot glued on the case, doesn't affect the operation (or the case standing up) and is a very quick way to reset it without the aggravation of removing the battery panel and disconnecting the battery.
