thanks for taking this issue into consideration.

I have a fellow OM here who bought his X6100 upon my advice and has got it new from a french retailer.

It is most probably of a newer HW edition than mine. He has no power issues with your FW, same release as I'm using.

Looks like it's related with different hardware versions - at least on my radio all works fine. I'll try to do some kind of auto adjustment, based on the output power and ALC. Need some time for experiments.

Ibought X6100 before 2 years.
All is ok, but decoding of BPSK31 not in order, can you someone put me the configuration for decode BPSK31?

Autrewise, I see then some people change the program of X6100 to one another based on Linux. There is also too many of bugs in all versions...
Xiegu made one uptodate to 1.8 original programm, I see on this forum that someone was very happy to install it and also someone was very unhappy to install the new version original.
I like to know what to doing I have an 1.7 version original of X6100.

first, congratulations for your amazing work, I love your user interface!

I have booted the R1CBU-R0.23_sdcard.img version and worked with FT8 mode to figure-out how usable it would be on a portable/SOTA activity.

Looks fine, except for one thing:

whatever the TX power is set at, (I have tried less than 5W, more than 5W, up to 10W), the output power on 20m band is always ca 2.5W

I do see the warning message about the reduced power to 5W... I wish I had these 5W!

It seems Jens/HB9JOI experiences a similar issue (see below) and would appreciate some advise on how to clear this limitation.

* Flash image

* Boot transceiver with inserted SD card, then poweroff

* Open saved params.db with any sqlite3 software (e.g. ) and execute SQL

UPDATE memory SET val = 3 WHERE name like "vfoa_mode" and (id >= 100 OR id < 300)


* Insert SD card back to the computer and replace params.db on DATA partition with saved version

Re: 100 ALC and 0.0w on transmit, no matter the antenna/TX power/band/mode #projects

 

I learned that the ALC meter is "backwards" in that it shows 100 when there is no power and down at 4-10 when pwr out is 4+ watts.
In my case it was fixed by increasing the audio output from the terminal program to the rig.
I'm using FT8cn Android app, so it was a matter of going to my Android phone app and selecting SETTINGS, then SOUND, then selecting MEDIA and increasing the slider to 100%, and then all is well, rig output is 3-7 watts during xmit of tones and ALC number runs low tween 1 and 10, again variable as tones go through.
I think WSJTX also has a xmit "pwr" slider on the lower right side of screen.? Push it all the way up and then give it a try.

Actually, this part was not changed.
Long press of the lock button performs reset of the BASE and restart application. On my radio it doesn't work, if external power not attached. Also, sometimes after resetting it shows 0.0v for battery.
I guess it will be better to add displaying somewhere application version (maybe with BASE version, If I could retrieve it somehow). Maybe in the next version.

Hi Jens. I remember you wrote about this issue for previous version. I can't reproduce it on my radio. It might be due to hardware variations. I'm going to add output signal level configuration to the FT8 app in the next version.

Before we could press lock button and the version would pop up. Now nothing. Has this been changed?

Works all great , only SSB not tested because I most working CW and/or FT8.

(Also thank you for implementing my ideas...)
