70 mhz 4m

I have tried the 4m band but it does not allow me to move from a 71,000 MHz frequency and it does not allow me to edit the mode on the web.

Re: Patched BASE firmware with changed TX audio filter low cutoff frequency #firmware

I wish I knew how to program.? Bluetooth keyboard messaging via JS8Call would be cool but the "heartbeat" alone has utility.

Georgy, I know you get a lot of suggestions but have you thought about JS8Call??

Hi Keith.

WSJT-x and FT8 application in alternative firmware uses a frequency shift for transmitting. Generated audio have almost same base frequency (something like 1500 Hz). So - even 500 Hz of bandwidth should be enough, because FT8 signal have 50Hz bandwidth.

?Hi,
after several unsuccessful attempts, I -in total distress- just unplugged 12V mains plug during one more attempts to reboot and rebooted the 6100 running on battery.
It worked.?
6100 rebooted and now it boots reproducably into the updated firmware¡

Although I do not know why this happened in the beginning and why it was solved and I cannot recommend this method to anybody, I am surprised and happy that it finally worked.

So, we can close this issue ¡ thanks to everyone who read it meanwhile and possibly answered to it¡. sorry for my clumsy english.?

Best regards and again thanks to all.

Try to push the power button for 10 seconds or more. This should power off the radio completely. Then turn it on (without SD card).

Hi,

I just tried to upgrade the FW from installed version
App ? ? V1.1.7 Aug 25 2023, 15:09:46
BASE ? ?V1.1.6 Mar 07 2023, 09:57:03

?
I followed the instruction published by XIEGU and by radioddity and so formatted an SD-card (16GB), inserted it into the X6100 (connected to mains) and switched on..
?
Boot from the card seemed to work (text prompts appeared like expected) and the display then announced a system shutdown like "3sec...2sec...1sec ... 0sec"
After this I powered off the rig.?

I then removed the SD and restarted the rig.
But the display remained dark (the green LED is on) ... since several minutes no change.
Any attempt to re-boot with a new writen SD card carrying older or current FW versions are without success. The LED starts to steadily glow green, but the screen remains black,
?
I am afraid that the rig is bricked...
Can anybody help me please?
?
Best regards!

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

Thank you Georgy.? I had a feeling that might be the case being hidden.

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

Good suggestion. Really tiny fonts ?

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

It's under /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ on the rootfs (ext4). This partition of SD card is invisible under Windows.

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

Where are the passwords saved?? Each time I upgrade to the new version, I copy the visible contents of Data but I still have to re-enter the passwords.

Re: STM32 MCU port damaged used to read the CW key input #development #firmware

I can confirm that Justin (@ratmandu) had a similar issue and was able to fix his x6100 using the method described by Franco (flashed the decrypted x6100 firmware to 0x8020000) along with a simple STM32 bootloader that he wrote (simple bootloader flashed to 0x8000000). Justin gave us his simple bootloader for others to use as well, which is now downloadable from along with some instructions.

If you need a new STM32 chip, I believe you¡¯d be looking for a?
STM32F427ZG for about $17 + shipping/handling?

Is there a chance to enlarge the fonts on this keyboard? For older people, they are almost unreadable.

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

Well, must repeat wifi config after each next SD firmware upgrade. Georgy, maybe add Backup button to webserver page. It would do sth like:
tar -czf /mnt/x6100_r1cbu_private.tgz /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ /root/.ssh/
After SD upgrage I will copy created .tgz to DATA part. and next boot will merge my private settings into new system.

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

It's not supported by LVGL default keyboard layout ()
As a workaround for wifi connection you can:
* turn on wifi on the radio
* connect to radio with USB cable and PuTTY
* launch `nmtui-connect` and connect to WIFI network. Your password and connection parameters will be saved within system, so later radio will be able to connect to this network without password prompt.
