While I’m not saying that I won’t buy the new model, it’s sort of a suckers bet for those of us that do. We’ve all seen what Xiegu is all about and we have no reason to trust them at this point. I’ve used my X6100 like crazy and it works for the most part but it’s still not the radio that the specs call out.?
You also have to blame Radioddity and a few other resellers because they’ve made a lot of money off of us selling Xiegu products and I’m sure they’ve read the forums to know our opinion of Xiegu yet they still keep selling the stuff. We have to remember that they were bragging about funneling all of our comments about the X6100 over to Xiegu, but yet we’ve hardly seen any response, if any from our comments. ?I believe that was a smoke screen on Radioddity’s part to make us feel like they were trying to help, yet indirectly point a finger at at Xiegu for not make any progress on our comments. ?That was sort of a, “we told them” type situation but yet they we’ll be advertising the heck out of the new model when that time comes.?
It’s pretty sad when a third party creates firmware for a radio that your company makes. ?I like the theme of the Xiegu firmware better than the other firmware. We’ll see how this next release goes. It’s not like we don’t know Xiegu’s reputation so I’m sure the public will be Beta Testers as usual.?
