We'll be back hopefully tomorrow! ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at BLOODLINE: WARGAMES AT SURVIVOR SERIES- The new Bloodline and the OG Bloodline are heading to war later this month at Survivor Series: WarGames in a four on four match inside the two-ring steel structure. The show-long angle on Smackdown was Roman Reigns refusing to let Sami Zayn back in the OG Bloodline but by the end of the night, the OG Bloodline reunited in full, well, minus their Wiseman Paul Heyman. Closing the night, Reigns wanted a one-on-one match with Solo Sikoa for the title of the Tribal Chief, but Solo refuted that and said WarGames is the way to go. He said the fifth person on his team would be Sami Zayn, and Zayn came out to the top of the stage to see the new Bloodline beat up on Reigns. The Usos came out to help their cousin but they got outnumbered as well and then, Solo invited Sami to the ring to kick Roman in the face again. With Solo holding Roman, Zayn went for the Helluva Kick but decked Solo instead. Jacob Fatu tried to help Solo but was met with a Superman punch from Reigns and another Helluva Kick by Zayn as the two stood tall together in the ring. The Usos joined them in and Jey threw his index finger in the air, followed by Jimmy. Zayn then went face-to-face with Reigns and also threw his one up to a big pop from the crowd. Reigns acknowledged that and completed the group by throwing his index finger up to an ever bigger pop. Smackdown ended with the OG Bloodline and their ones up while Solo and his Bloodline retreated to the back. You can see the segment at . WOMEN'S UNITED STATES TITLE INTRODUCED ON SMACKDOWN- Yet another WWE title was introduced on Smackdown, a mid-card title for the women's division which will be the WWE Women's United States championship. The title was announced by Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis and it will be exclusively to the blue brand. Aldis said that this title will not be handed out to anyone, but someone will earn it, although he did not give out details on how the inaugural champion will be decided. The Women's United States title is the exact replica of the man's U.S. title but with a white leather strap. FIRST TWO IRON SURVIVOR CHALLENGE MATCHES ON TUESDAY- The first two Iron Survivor Challenge qualifying matches were announced by NXT General Manager Ava in a social media post. These matches will take place on Tuesday's episode of NXT and will feature Wes Lee vs Cedric Alexander and Cora Jade vs Sol Ruca. The winners will advance to the match at Deadline. Each Iron Survivor Challenge match has five participants and qualifying matches will be held throughout the month. TNT TITLE MATCH ADDED TO FULL GEAR- The Full Gear pay-per-view card continued to evolve last night on Collision. The AEW TNT title will be on the line in a newly-announced match with Jack Perry defending the title against Daniel Garcia. It was Garcia who issued the challenge to Perry after Perry successfully defended the title against Action Andretti on the show. While Perry accepted his challenge, he reminded Garcia that he was not ready to be champion. Also on Collision, crowd fan favorites The Outrunners earned a spot in the four-way match for AEW Tag Team titles at Full Gear, defeating Top Flight to punch their ticket to the PPV. Two more sets of challengers will emerge over the next few weeks. TAKESHITA TO DEFEND AEW INTERNATIONAL TITLE AT WRESTLE KINGDOM 19- AEW International champion Konosuke Takeshita will be wrestling at the upcoming NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 pay-per-view in January. NEVER champion Shingo Takagi issued a title challenge for Takeshita after the AEW champ retained his championship against TJP at the NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed event. This will be a winner-take-all match and both titles are on the line. The winner of this match is rumored to be taking on Tomohoro Ishii the following day at the NJPW/AEW show Wrestle Dynasty. Takeshita won the title at WrestleDream last month, defeating champion Will Ospreay and Ricochet in a three-way match. ALL IN: TEXAS KICKOFF PARTY ON NOVEMBER 20- AEW will host a special All In: Texas kickoff party on Wednesday, November 20 from 6PM to 9PM CT at Texas Live! in Arlington. The event is free and open to the public and will celebrate the AEW All In: Texas event coming to Globe Life Field on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The AEW All In: Texas Kickoff Party will feature photo opportunities with the stars of All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor, rare AEW memorabilia displays, exclusive AEW merchandise for purchase, special AEW giveaways and an opportunity to view that evening’s episode of AEW Dynamite live on the Texas Live! screens. In addition, all fans in attendance will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets for AEW All In: Texas before they go on sale to the general public. AEW and ROH Stars scheduled to appear include Dustin Rhodes, Jeff Jarrett, Thunder Rosa, Athena, Sammy Guevara, The Outrunners and Abadon (talent subject to change). ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

The biggest issue with AEW and its fans I think is that they can't see that there are problems which need to be fixed. A few years ago, AEW were close to Raw, at least in 18-49, now they can't even beat NXT. Something needs to change. ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at ELIMINATION CHAMBER TO BE HELD AT ROGERS CENTRE IN TORONTO- WWE today announced that the 2025 Elimination Chamber premium live event will be taking place from the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada on Saturday, March 1. "Canada is an amazing place to host our biggest Premium Live Events, with its passionate fans and rich history that spans decades," said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. "On the heels of a record-breaking Money In The Bank this past July, we are excited to return to Toronto for an even larger event in 2025." The Rogers Centre is the building formerly known as the Sky Dome, where WrestleMania VI and 18 took place. WWE has not held an event at that location since 2002. This marks the second consecutive year that Elimination Chamber will be held in an international stadium, following this year’s record-setting event at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. Elimination Chamber 2025 Priority Passes will soon be available from On Location giving fans the chance to be ringside for every exhilarating moment including premium seating, pre-show hospitality with WWE Superstar appearances, ringside photo opportunities and much more. NXT BEATS DYNAMITE IN RATINGS- Dynamite and NXT had a rare head-to-head on Wednesday night due to the U.S. presidential election, and while NXT won the previous head-to-heads when Dynamite moved to Tuesday, it was expected that Dynamite would get the win due to them being in their regular time slot. But AEW got a cold reality check as the ECW-themed episode of NXT from the 2300 Arena actually beat it in both viewership and 18-49 demo. NXT drew 619,000 viewers overall while Dynamite averaged 523,000 viewers, a difference of 96,000 viewers. In 18-49, NXT had a 0.17 rating while Dynamite drew a 0.16, although NXT airs on network television while Dynamite is on cable. While NXT had some ECW originals on the show, with the likes of Dawn Marie, Francine, Rob Van Dam, Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Rhino, Nunzio, and Tony Mamaluke all showing up, AEW loaded Dynamite with their usual big stars, including Mercedes Mone, The Hurt Syndicate, Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, and others. At one point during the broadcast, Christian Cage made fun of the competition, telling Hook that his father was the face of an outlaw promotion and was a big fish in a little pond who choked when he got to the bright lights. Bully Ray, who wrestled on NXT, posted a photo of himself, D-Von Dudley, and Trick Williams with their arms raised, writing, "Demo Gods," a shot at Chris Jericho when he used to call himself the demo god for having high 18-49 demo segments back in the day. NXT RATING- NXT this week drew 619,000 viewers on a special Wednesday episode, up 31,000 viewers from the prior week. This was the ECW-themed episode from the ECW Arena but also the second least-watched episode of NXT on CW, with the move to Wednesday night not helping. In 18-49, NXT drew 0.17, up 0.03 from the prior week. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) DYNAMITE VS NXT QUARTER HOUR NUMBERS- There was not much to celebrate for AEW on Wednesday night after the quarter-hour ratings were revealed, showing a bleak picture when it came to viewership trends against NXT. Out of eight quarters, Dynamite won the first quarter in both viewers and 18-49 thanks to their lead-in, winning in viewers by just 1,000 and in 18-49 by 22,000 viewers. In the seventh quarter, Dynamite lost by 92,000 in viewership but won the 18-49 demo by 15,000. Apart from that, everything else was an NXT win in both viewers and demo numbers, something which was not expected since NXT was running on a day which is considered to be AEW's. Everything went downhill for AEW as soon as the second quarter kicked in, losing 91,000 viewers and never recovering. Dynamite ended the last quarter with just 455,000 viewers, and their nine-minute overrun after NXT went off the air increased only by 5,000 viewers, despite NXT's closing with 625,000 viewers. The full quarter-hour numbers, courtesy of Wrestlenomics, can be seen at . FIRST WWE ID TALENTS REVEALED- The first four WWE ID talent were announced this week, and more are expected to be revealed this weekend. Launched last week, WWE ID, short for Independent Development, is a program designed to provide up-and-coming independent wrestlers a pathway to a potential career in WWE. Zayda Steel was the first indie talent announced. Hailing from Washington, D.C., she was scouted from Combat Zone Wrestling. She's been wrestling for two years. Bryce Donovan was scouted from Wrestling Open and is from Long Beach, New York. He has been wrestling for eight years. "Coldbrew" Cappuccino Jones was the third one announced. From Coffeyville, Kansas, Jones was scouted from This Is Wrestling and has been doing this for two years. Jack Cartwheel from Sacramento, California was the latest to be revealed. He was scouted from Game Changer Wrestling and has been wrestling since 2019. Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling (Houston), Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Factory (Atlanta), Seth Rollins’ Black and Brave Academy (Davenport, Iowa), Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center (Concord, N.H.) and KnokX Pro Academy (Los Angeles) are the first WWE ID independent wrestling schools to earn the official designation. DYNAMITE RATING- Dynamite on Wednesday drew 523,000 viewers, down a whopping 106,000 viewers as it went head-to-head with NXT. This was the third least-watched Dynamite of 2024. The show had a 0.16 rating, down 0.03 from the prior week and ties the lowest number the show has done. Dynamite ranked #6 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. The show will emanate from The Armory, a building which was designated a Minneapolis historic landmark in 2017, and one which can hold up to 8,000 fans. Tickets will go on sale next Wednesday, November 13, and you can sign up for a pre-sale at . The announcement of Deadline came from NXT General Manager Ava during yesterday's episode of NXT on CW. IRON SURVIVOR CHALLENGE RETURNING FOR DEADLINE- The NXT Deadline premium live event will once again have the Iron Survivor Challenge matches. Qualifying bouts to see who will advance to the show will start on next week's episode of NXT. The Iron Survivor Challenge is a 25-minute match which involves five NXT stars. Two wrestlers start the match, and every five minutes, another wrestler enters with the fifth and final participant entering at the 15-minute mark. The one with the most points from pinfall or submissions before the time expires wins the match. The concept was introduced in 2022 with the winners so far being Roxanne Perez, Blair Davenport, Grayson Waller, and Trick Williams. The winner of each match will get an NXT title shot. ECW ORIGINALS APPEAR ON NXT- The ECW spirit was alive and well last night on NXT which took place from the old ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Apart from the announced appearances of Rob Van Dam, Dawn Marie, Francine, and Bubba Ray Dudley, there were also a couple of more surprises in store for fans. D-Von Dudley showed up at the end of the tag team match between Bubba Ray and Trick Williams vs Ridge Holland and Ethan Page. Trick Williams went to get a table, but there was none under the ring. The Dudley Boyz theme song hit and D-Von came out with a table to a big ovation from the fans. He handed the table over to Williams and Bubba Ray, and the two chokeslammed Ethan Page through it. D-Von then got in the ring and celebrated with the two. TNA Hall of Famer Rhino also was a surprise appearance and gored Robert Stone during an in-ring segment. Stone was running down the Philly crowd when the lights went out and when they came back on, Rhino was on the other end of the ring. With Stone not knowing who was behind him, he turned around and ate a spear from Rhino. Nunzio and Tony Mamaluke showed up at the ECW Arena and Nunzio actually challenged Tony D'Angelo for the NXT North American title. Although unsuccessful in his bid to get the title, Nunzio and Mamaluke settled their differences with the D'Angelo family and all posed together at the end of the match. You can see the three videos at . RAW RATING- Raw this week drew an average of 1,465,000 viewers, up 65,000 viewers from the prior week. The show had a simulcast of an NFL game which drew a total of 20.6 million viewers across three different stations. The first hour drew 1,480,000 viewers and that was followed by 1,450,000 viewers in the second hour. In 18-49, Raw drew a 0.48 rating, up 0.06 from last week and was #4 in the top 50 cable chart for the night, beating everything on cable and network TV apart from NFL programming. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) KARL ANDERSON OUT FOR UP TO NINE MONTHS- Karl Anderson revealed on his podcast that he recently underwent surgery for a torn rotator cuff and partially torn labrum. Due to the injury, he is expected to be out of action for the next six to nine months depending on recovery. Anderson, along with his tag team partner Luke Gallows have been part of NXT for the past several months as The O.C. and AJ Styles went separate ways on the main roster. TKO ANNOUNCES Q3 2024 FINANCIAL RESULTS- TKO Group Holdings, Inc. yesterday announced financial results for its third quarter ended September 30, 2024. Ariel Emanuel, Executive Chair and CEO of TKO, said: “TKO’s solid third quarter results reflect continued strength across UFC and WWE, particularly in live events and brand partnerships. In light of this continued momentum, we now expect to deliver at the upper end of our full-year 2024 guidance range for both revenue and Adjusted EBITDA. “Additionally, two weeks ago we announced the authorization of a robust capital return program and an agreement to acquire industry-leading sports assets that will power our profile, give us greater scale, strengthen our position in the sports marketplace, and accelerate returns for shareholders. Just over a year since UFC and WWE came together to form TKO, our conviction in this business is as strong as ever.” Revenue increased 52%, or $232.1 million, to $681.2 million. The increase reflected the increase of $274.7 million of revenue at WWE, to $326.3 million, partially offset by a decrease of $42.6 million at UFC, to $354.9 million. Net Income was $57.7 million, an increase of $35.7 million from $22.0 million in the prior year period. When it comes to WWE, the company pulled $227.4 million in media rights and content, $51.1 million in live events, $21.7 million in sponsorship, and $26.1 million in consumer products. WWE revenue was $51.6 million for the period from September 12, 2023 through September 30, 2023. Including WWE activity for the period from July 1, 2023 through September 11, 2023, WWE combined revenue was $287.3 million for the period from July 1, 2023 through September 30, 2023. The increase of 14%, or $39.0 million, was primarily driven by an increase in media rights and content, live events, and sponsorship revenue. The increase in media rights and content revenue was primarily related to the contractual escalation of media rights fees as well as the timing of WWE’s weekly flagship programming, which resulted in an additional event in the current year period. The increase in live events revenue was primarily related to an increase in ticket sales revenue. The increase in sponsorship revenue was primarily related to new sponsors and an increase in fees from renewals compared to the prior year period. The full press release is at . TKO COO MEETS VINCE MCMAHON FOR BREAKFAST- Appearing on CNBC's Sport videocast with Alex Sherman, TKO Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro revealed that he recently had breakfast with former TKO and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon to "check in" as they didn't hear from him at all and wanted to see where McMahon currently stood. Shapiro, along with Ari Emanuel, were the two who forced McMahon completely out of TKO and WWE, even though McMahon remains a large shareholder with no power. "He’s got some litigation that he’s working through, and frankly, he wants the privacy and the time to work through it which is great, because in the meantime we’re going to keep building TKO and WWE,” Shapiro old Sherman. Shapiro added that McMahon "couldn't have been nicer" and was a "total pro" during their breakfast despite everything that happened which led to his ousting from the company he built. Shapiro also said that while McMahon is not involved at all with TKO and does not make any decisions or is consulted for any decision, the former Chairman reacted positively to the direction that WWE is going in. The 23-minute interview can be seen at . TICKETS FOR ALL IN: TEXAS ON SALE ON DECEMBER 9- Tickets for the AEW All In: Texas will go on sale to the general public on December 9. TWO MORE MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR FULL GEAR- Two more matches were announced for the Full Gear pay-per-view, set to take place on Saturday, November 23. AEW newcomer Bobby Lashley will get straight to business and face former AEW World champion Swerve Strickland in his first AEW match. It was Strickland who issued a challenge on last night's Dynamite after The Hurt Syndicate beat down Swerve and Price Nana last week. Also, TBS champion Mercedes Mone will defend her title against Kris Statlander. The two were involved in a backstage angle yesterday with Statlander brawling with Mone after she dragged her out of a car that she was hit with moments earlier, a car driven by Kamille. The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey will host Full Gear. Tickets are still available on Ticketmaster.com. POWERHOUSE HOBBS RETURNS AFTER SEVEN MONTHS- Powerhouse Hobbs returned last night on Dynamite and was the surprise mystery tag team partner for Ricochet. The two faced Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher in the main event of Dynamite which also had Mark Davis, Lance Archer, Brian Cage, and Will Ospreay all show up after the match. Before the match started, Ricochet said that Hobbs' "contract" with the Don Callis Family ended last month and no one checked on him while he was out. Hobbs has been out of action since late April where he got injured in a match against Jon Moxley. Hobbs tore his patellar tendon in his knee and required surgery to repair it. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Kinda wild watching Dana White speaking this morning with Trump and Linda McMahon on stage with them! ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at WWE HALL OF FAMER DONALD TRUMP RECLAIMS U.S. PRESIDENCY- A WWE Hall of Famer has been elected as the 47th President of the United States. Donald Trump, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013 at Madison Square Garden in New York, won his second term as president, beating Kamala Harris in what ended up being somewhat of a landslide victory. The road to the election was a bit wrestling heavy this time around, with Trump stopping by Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast and The Undertaker's Six Feet Under podcast as well. He also had open support from many wrestling personalities, including Hulk Hogan, who appeared multiple times at his rallies. UFC President Dana White, part of the TKO Group leadership, was also a big presence with Trump and even this morning when Trump spoke to his supporters, White was on stage with him and addressed the crowd as well. Trump is a big family friend of the McMahons and Linda McMahon served in his cabinet when he was elected president in 2016. Linda was the chair of the America First Action, the pro-Tr ump Super PAC which helped him raise over $80 million in 2020 and is now the Chair of the Board for America First Policy Institute. Linda has now joined Howard Lutnick to co-chair Donald Trump's 2025 transition team. It is believed that Linda McMahon will once again get a high-level position in Trump's new cabinet once he is installed as president of the United States in January 2025. Trump is also a huge WWE fan and as everyone is aware, appeared many times on WWE programming throughout the years, including being part of several WrestleManias. BRUCE PRICHARD AND MICHAEL HAYES ON TEMPORARY LEAVE FROM WWE- Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Bruce Prichard and Michael Hayes are out on "temporary leave" due to two different and unrelated issues. Meltzer, quoting different sources in WWE, said that Prichard's leave is due to a family emergency while Hayes' absence is due to personal issues. Both long-time WWE employees are expected back in the company at some point and their absence is nothing related to "the old guard" being phased out. Prichard and Hayes were two of Vince McMahon's biggest supporters in WWE but unlike other McMahon loyalists who were driven out, both kept their respective important positions within the company. ECW-THEMED OPEN FOR NXT- NXT is going extreme tonight and WWE published a throwback ECW cold open featuring NXT stars along with the several ECW originals to hype up the special episode which will be live from the 2300 Arena, otherwise better known as the ECW arena. The intro with the iconic ECW theme song opens with Stephanie Vaquer and has a mix of NXT footage and classic ECW footage with those ECW stars who will be part of the broadcast tonight. The video has a filter over it so the new NXT footage matches the feel of the old ECW footage. This is just the second time that WWE will use the 2300 Arena for a show, having previously used it once for their ECW version. You can see it at IYO SKY BECOMES #1 CONTENDER FOR WWE WOMEN'S WORLD TITLE- Iyo Sky has become the new number one contender for Liv Morgan's Women's World title after she won a battle royal on Raw in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The battle royal had a total of 15 women and the other competitors included Alba Fyre, Bianca Belair, Isla Dawn, Ivy Nile, Jade Cargill, Kairi Sane, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, Lyra Valkyria, Maxxine Dupri, Natalya, Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zelina Vega. Belair, Cargill, Valkyria, and Sky were the final four and the WWE Women's Tag Team champions were eliminated after Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez interfered. The finish came when Sky performed a German suplex on Valkyria on the apron, sending the former NXT Women's champion flying out. WWE has not mentioned when Sky will get her title shot. GUNTHER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER FOR WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE- A new number one contender for Gunther's WWE World Heavyweight title emerged on Raw and it is none other than his predecessor, Damian Priest. The main event of Raw from Saudi Arabia featured a fatal four-way match between Priest, Seth Rollins, Dominik Mysterio, and Sheamus, with Priest winning the match by pinning his former Judgment Day partner Dom Mysterio. The match also had a big interference from Bronson Reed, who took out everyone, but specifically was after Seth Rollins. While both Sheamus and Priest ate a DVD and a tsunami each, it was Rollins who suffered the most damage after Reed did a splash on him from the barricade and on the announcers' table. Just like with Iyo Sky winning her #1 contenders match, WWE did not announce when Priest will be able to cash in his win. SMACKDOWN RATING- The taped episode of Smackdown this past Friday on USA drew 1,428,000 viewers, up just 10,000 viewers from the previous week. The show had a 0.42 rating in 18-49, down 0.01 from the prior episode and was #1 on all of television for the night including both cable and network television. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) NXT PREVIEW- Due to the U.S. presidential election, NXT will be airing tonight on The CW at 8PM ET and this will be a very special episode of NXT as it's live from the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There will be a very heavy ECW presence with several ECW originals scheduled to appear on the show. The main event will feature NXT champion Trick Williams and ECW favorite and Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley taking on Ethan Page and Ridge Holland. Je'Von Evans takes on Wes Lee, Jaida Parker battles Lola Vice in a hardcore match with special guest referee Dawn Marie, and a massive 10-woman tag match with NXT champion Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Fatal Influence vs Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, Zaria, Kelani Jordan, and TNA's Jordynne Grace. Plus, NXT General Manager Ava will also have a big announcement. DYNAMITE PREVIEW- Dynamite faces rare NXT competition tonight but with AEW in its usual time slot and day, it's wildly expected that unlike last month, they will come out victorious against NXT. A packed show is on hand, with the main event featuring Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin taking on Claudio Castagnoli and PAC. Adam Cole faces Malakai Black, The Learning Tree take on The Conglomeration in a Fight Without Honor trios match, Penelope Ford faces Jamie Hayter, and Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher team up to battle Ricochet and a mystery partner. Plus, Christian Cage and Hook will come face-to-face while The Hurt Syndicate - MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and newcomer Bobby Lashley - will also be in the arena live. RAMPAGE RATING- It was a bad night for Rampage as last Friday's show drew just 172,000 viewers, a record low for the series. That was down 69,000 viewers from last week and had a 0.05 rating in 18-49, down 0.04 from the prior show. It placed #28 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) COLLISION RATING- Last Saturday's Collision drew 349,000 viewers, up 28,000 viewers from the prior week and the best number since September 28. (Ratings credit: Wrestlenomics) GOFUNDME CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO HELP DUTCH MANTELL- A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help Dutch Mantell and his wife with their several health issues after their insurance plan got depleted. Unfortunately, Mantell has been having health problems, including suffering from sepsis twice this year. His wife of over 50 years, Cathy, had severe health issues, including sepsis and diverticulitis, and has been in and out of hospital 11 times since May 2024, including last week where she needed emergency bowel surgery. The GoFundMe description states that the couple's health insurance has been depleted and so has all of their savings, and they have almost nothing left. "The two require further home care which has pushed their situation to breaking point both emotionally and financially," the GoFundMe says. A $50,000 goal has been set, and as of this writing, over $38,000 has been donated. RICOCHET MAKES SURPRISE NJPW APPEARANCE, TAKES OUT ZACK SABRE JR.- Ricochet made a surprise appearance at the NJPW Power Struggle event and issued a challenge for Wrestle Dynasty in January. After Zack Sabre Jr defeated Shinto Takagi to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight title in the main event of the show, Ricochet's theme song kicked in and he came out decked in a full three-piece suit from behind Sabre Jr, hit a springboard clothesline and took out the champion. He told Sabre that it's been six years since he wrestled in New Japan and challenged him for the IWGP World heavyweight title at the NJPW/AEW Wrestle Dynasty event. Later on social media, Ricochet said that he appeared on the show to "remind the world that I’m still the f*cking man around here." Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga defeated Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso; Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair defeated Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, and Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in a fatal four-way match to retain the WWE Women's Tag Team titles; Seth Rollins defeated Bronson Reed; Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax to become the inaugural WWE Women's Crown Jewel champion; Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens was a no contest and the match never started; Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther to become the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel champion. LIV MORGAN AND CODY RHODES WIN CROWN JEWEL CHAMPIONSHIPS- Liv Morgan and Cody Rhodes became the inaugural Crown Jewel champions at the Crown Jewel premium live event held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE Women's World champion Liv Morgan was the first one to win the title after she defeated WWE Women's champion Nia Jax. The match had a lot of interference, first by Tiffany Stratton who teased cashing in and then the arrival of Raquel Rodriguez and Dom Mysterio. Rodriguez and Mysterio helped Liv get the upperhand and Morgan won after delivering an Oblivion. After the match, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque came out to present Morgan with her new title as fans gave a standing ovation. In the main event of the show, WWE Undisputed champion Cody Rhodes defeated WWE World Heavyweight champion Gunther in a classic match which had a hot crowd throughout. The ending came when Cody tried a Cody Cutter from the top rope but Gunther caught him in a sleeper hold. Cody then reversed it, similar to how Bret Hart defeated Roddy Piper at Wr estleMania 8, and pinned Gunther to win the match. After the match, Gunther and Cody shook hands and Triple H came in with four Saudi officials - two men and two women - to present the Crown Jewel championship to Rhodes. After fireworks went off and some more celebrations, Liv Morgan joined in the ring as the champs posed together, shook hands, saluted the crowd, and the show went off the air. SAMI ZAYN LAYS OUT ROMAN REIGNS BY MISTAKE!- The Bloodline storyline got even more complicated at the Crown Jewel show with the re-introduction of Sami Zayn. Solo's Bloodline defeated the OG Bloodline in the opening match of Crown Jewel and pretty much to everyone's surprise, it was Solo Sikoa who got the clean pin on Roman Reigns for the win after Reigns got hammered by Jacob Fatu. After the match, the beatdown continued by Solo's Bloodline and with Jey Uso's head wrapped around a chair, Sami Zayn's theme song kicked in to a massive pop from the crowd. Sami entered the ring and went for a hug with Solo but that hug turned into an exploder suplex. Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Jacob Fatu attacked but The Usos recovered and dispatched everyone, leaving Solo in the ring alone surrounded by the OG Bloodline. With Jimmy, Jey, Sami, and Roman in each corner and Solo in the middle, Reigns went for the Superman punch and Zayn went for the Helluva Kick at the same time. Solo ducked and Sami clocked Reigns. Solo bolted out of the ring an d the OG Bloodline argued over what just happened, with Roman Reigns laying in the ring wondering how he got beaten - twice! You can see what happened at . RAW TAPING IN RIYADH TODAY- Tomorrow's Raw is being taped today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the same location as yesterday's Crown Jewel event. This will be one of the biggest Raws of the year attendance-wise as the show is nearly sold out with under 50 tickets remaining at time of this writing. It's the first overseas Raw in a very, very long time as usually Smackdown is taped before an international PLE. But this time around, Smackdown had a double tapings two weeks ago and Raw gets to experience an international crowd. During the countdown show on Friday, fans were chanting for NXT and Triple H told the crowd that he would talk to HBK about it. The crowd was also chanting for WrestleMania, but after some consideration, Triple H said that yes, it's in Las Vegas, and the crowd booed his response! FATAL FOUR-WAY FOR GUNTHER'S NEXT CHALLENGER- A new number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight title will be decided on Monday Night Raw tomorrow on an episode which will be taped tonight from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A fatal four-way match will pit Seth Rollins vs Dominik Mysterio vs Sheamus vs Damian Priest, with the winner moving ahead to take on champion Gunther. It's unclear if this match will take place at Survivor Series or on Saturday Night's Main Event which will be in December on NBC. Sheamus and Priest were not involved at Crown Jewel yesterday although Sheamus did the pre-show panel. Mysterio got involved in Liv Morgan's match but had no action while Rollins had to go through Bronson Reed. WWE GOING INTERNATIONAL ON ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA- The road to WrestleMania will have an international flavor as WWE will tape six television broadcasts as part of a two-week tour in Europe. A total of three Raw and three Smackdown shows will be held across Europe, with the March 14 Smackdown in Barcelona, Spain, the March 17 Raw in Brussels, Belgium, the March 21 Smackdown in Bologna, Italy, the March 24 Raw in Glasgow, Scotland, the March 28 Smackdown and the March 31 Raw both in London, England. As part of this tour, there will also be live events on March 15 in Dortmund, Germany, on March 16 in Hannover, Germany, on March 22 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on March 23 in Nottingham, England, on March 29 in Vienna, Austria, and on March 30 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The dates were announced during the Raw tapings in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia earlier today. WWE IN UK AND IRELAND FOR FOUR-DAY TOUR- WWE kicks off a four-day tour in the United Kingdom and Ireland today following their successful trip to Saudi Arabia. The Smackdown brand will be doing this tour as the Raw crew are still in Saudi Arabia for today's taping of Raw which will air tomorrow on USA Network. The tour starts tonight in Dublin, Ireland at the 3Arena and continues Monday at The O2 Arena in London. On Tuesday it's off to Nottingham at the Motorpoint Arena before ending in Sheffield on Wednesday at the Utilita Arena. The Superstars and crew will then board a plane to Buffalo, New York where a live episode of Friday Night Smackdown takes place on Friday. MANDY ROSE AND TINO SABBATELLI TIE THE KNOT!- Former WWE stars Mandy Rose and Tino Sabbatelli got married yesterday at the Park Chateau Estate and Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey according to an exclusive story by PEOPLE.COM, which covered the whole wedding and had exclusive rights to the photos. Now both going by their real names of Amanda Saccomanno and Sabatino Piscitelli, the couple were joined by 215 guests including current and former WWE stars such as as Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, Sonya Deville, CJ Perry, Indi Hartwell, and others. The newlyweds will be going to their honeymoon in the Maldives and plan on starting a family. They have been dating since 2018 and got engaged in 2022. Rose got released from her WWE deal in December 2022 after posting nude content on her FanTime content. Sabbatelli was released in April 2020 from his WWE deal and returned later in the year, only to be fired again a few months later. You can see the photos and story at i-marry-french-chateau-wedding-exclusive-8728604 BILL GOLDBERG TO GET WWE RETIREMENT MATCH IN 2025- Appearing on SEC Nation, WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg announced that he will be having his retirement match next year. The former WCW and WWE Universal champion revealed that WWE's Nick Khan, Chris Legentil, and Paul "Triple H" Levesque informed him that they will be granting him his retirement match in 2025, but failed short on saying when and against who. Goldberg has been chasing a retirement match for a couple of years now and it was promised to him by Vince McMahon for doing the job to Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia in 2022 at the Elimination Chamber. The new WWE management is said to be "kinder" to the WWE Legends and righting any wrongs from the past. You can see the segment at . The full card is as follows: Gunther vs Cody Rhodes for the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel title; Liv Morgan vs Nia Jax for the inaugural WWE Women's Crown Jewel title; LA Knight vs Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes for the United States title; Roman Reigns and The Usos vs Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga in a six-man tag team match; Seth Rollins vs Bronson Reed; Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens; and Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair vs Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky vs Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson vs Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in a fatal four-way tag team match for the WWE Women's Tag Team titles. Crown Jewel will kick off at a special start time of 1PM ET / 10AM PT / 5PM GMT / 6PM CET and the pre-show will start an hour earlier. The pre-show airs on Peacock, WWE Network, and WWE's social media properties. OG BLOODLINE REUNITES ON SMACKDOWN- The OG Bloodline got their band, or shall we say family, back together last night on Smackdown in front of an electric crowd. During an in-ring segment between Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns, Jey Uso interrupted to big Yeets and the crowd even sang a verse of his theme song a cappella when the music stopped. Jey said that he's back for this match because of Solo costing him his championship and ultimately, because that's what family does. But he warned Reigns that he's no longer his lackey because he did not forget the physical damage, emotional damage, and mental damage that he went through because of Reigns. If they were going to do this, they're going to do it as equals, and it won't be Roman Reigns his tribal chief, but Roman Reigns his cousin. Reigns asked for the microphone and after a long pause to absorb the crowd noise, he simply said, "Yeet!" That was enough for the crowd to explode and with one Yeet down, Jimmy took it upon himself to take the stage and raise his index finge r like old times. Jey, seeing that Reigns somewhat acknowledged him with the yeet, did the same like his brother and threw his index finger in the air as well. Reigns then slowly walked in the middle and slowly raised his index finger too as the crowd, already with their ones up, went bananas. And with that, the OG Bloodline is back! You can see the segment at . ROYAL RUMBLE 2025 SEATING CHART- The seating chart for the 2025 Royal Rumble has been released through On Location, which is selling premium travel experiences for the show. It's unclear from the chart if the Lucas Oil Stadium will be used in full or partial as done for previous non-WrestleMania stadium shows. There will be no big stage and the entrance will once again be curved. Superstars will walk out from the corner of the stadium under section 105 which is in between the Lucas Oil gate and the Verizon Gate. 33 sections will make up the floor with none of them marked as risers, making it very hard to see ring action if you're seated in the farthest sections. Tickets for the Royal Rumble will go on sale on Friday, November 15 at 10AM ET via Ticketmaster.co. A pre-sale will begin Wednesday, November 13 at 10AM ET and fans can register now to receive the pre-sale code at . You can see the chart at ished/. The other Crown Jewel championship match features the women champions, with WWE Women's champion Nia Jax having 4/9 odds and favorite to beat WWE Women's World champion Liv Morgan who has 31/20 odds. The United States title will be defended in a triple threat match with champion LA Knight the favorite to retain with 2/5 odds while his challengers, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes, are 37/20 and 8/1 in their odds respectively. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will put their WWE Women's Tag Team titles on the line against in a fatal four-way match. The champions are 1/16 favorites heading in, with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven having 5/1 odds, Damage CTRL at 8/1, and NXT's Meta-Four with 9/1. And Bronson Reed takes on Seth Rollins in a one-on-one with Reed the favorite with 11/20 odds while Rollins is 13/10 for the win. MARKO STUNT ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT- Former AEW star Marko Stunt announced that he is retiring from professional wrestling at age 28. "Today, I write this with a heavy yet grateful heart as I announce my retirement from professional wrestling," Stunt wrote. "This decision was not an easy one, as wrestling has been the biggest part of my life for so long, filled with moments that have shaped who I am today." He noted that this journey was filled with passion, sweat, tears, and unrivaled joy and while he's aware that he's not the biggest, he allowed himself to get battered, and loved it. "However, after consulting with my doctor, I was advised to prioritize my long-term health and step down from in-ring competition. Accepting this reality has been one of the toughest moments of my career, but I know it is the right decision," he continued. Stunt thanked AEW for giving him the chance to showcase his abilities and share his passion with fans around the world. He also thanked Brett Lauderdale and Game Changer Wrestling for giving him his start and launching his career. He also had a shout out to all the wrestlers who he shared a ring with, thanking them for teaching him lessons, pushing him to his limits, and sharing unforgettable moments and also the fans who cheered, supported, and believed in him through every match and every show. "As I step away from the ring, I take with me memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. While I may be retiring from in-ring competition, wrestling will always be a part of who I am," Stunt said. "I hope to continue contributing to this amazing industry in different ways and to stay connected with all of you who made this dream a reality. Thank you for everything." Stunt was one of the AEW originals, aligning himself with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus to form Jurassic Express. He was released from his contract in 2022. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Sucks that it happens, but it's the nature of the beast, I guess. ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at BARON CORBIN, INDI HARTWELL, AND TEGAN NOX GONE FROM WWE- The journey of three WWE Superstars - Baron Corbin, Tegan Nox, and Indi Hartwell - has ended according to a story by Fightful which was also confirmed by other industry insiders. Baron Corbin's contract is not being renewed when it expires shortly and will be a free agent as soon as it ends. "That’s all she wrote folks. It’s been real and I appreciate everyone who supported me," Corbin wrote on social media after news came out. Corbin has been signed with WWE since 2012 and spent years in NXT before making it to the main roster. He has not appeared on WWE television in months after his tag team with Apollo Crews was disbanded. Indi Hartwell was released from her deal and is currently serving her 90-day no-compete clause. The Australian star has worked for WWE since 2019 and was in NXT before she was called up to the main roster last year. "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened," Hartwell wrote on X. Also released was Tegan Nox, with the former star also having a 90-day no-compete clause. Just like Corbin, her TV appearances were very limited in 2024 and was rarely used. The Welsh star had a rough time in WWE, suffering two major injuries which kept her out of action for almost two years combined. She started with the company in 2017 and was released in 2021 before returning a year later. WWE ANNOUNCES UPCOMING LOCATIONS OF SIX RAW AND SEVEN SMACKDOWN SHOWS- WWE announced the locations for six Raw and seven Smackdown television tapings that will take place from January to early March. Smackdown's calendar will see the January 3 episode from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, January 10 from the Moda Center in Portland, January 17 from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, January 24 from the Moody Center in Austin, February 7 from the FedExForum in Memphis, February 21 is from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, and the March 7 show from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The star-studded January 6 Netflix debut show is rumored to be taking place from the new Intuit Arena in Inglewood, California, but that location has yet to be confirmed. CROWN JEWEL CHAMPIONS TO RECEIVE SUPER BOWL-LIKE RING- The winners of the WWE Crown Jewel championships will not have to carry the title back to the United States as Triple H revealed on the Kickoff show that the titles will remain in Saudi Arabia, showcased at the WWE Experience in Riyadh. Instead, they will get something else that they can show off. "The champions, whoever that is after tomorrow night, will walk away with a massive ring, like a Super Bowl ring," Triple H said to a crowd inside the WWE Experience. Liv Morgan will battle Nia Jax in the first match and Gunther will take on Cody Rhodes in the other match where the titles will be on the line. ROH CLOSE TO A TV DEAL- Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Tony Khan is close to finalizing a television deal for Ring of Honor which would be the first time under his ownership that ROH finds itself on television. Ever since Khan bought the company in March 2022 from Sinclair Broadcasting, ROH has transitioned to weekly streaming shows on the company's streaming service HonorClub. Meltzer adds that the rumored station is TruTV, which is on cable and part of the Warner Bros Discovery slate of channels. TruTV primarily broadcasts reruns of comedy, documentaries, soaps, and reality shows, but is transitioning to live sports during primetime. DYNAMITE RATING- The Fright Night Dynamite drew 628,000 viewers, down just 9,000 viewers from last week's broadcast despite heavy competition on TV from the MLB World Series game which had over 18 million viewers and NBA on ESPN. The show did a 0.19 rating in 18-49, the same as last week, and was #6 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) ACE AUSTIN RELEASES STATEMENT ON CHRIS BEY'S INJURY- Chris Bey's tag team partner, Ace Austin, broke his silence for the first time since Bey's injury and published a statement through TNA Wrestling. Bey underwent successful neck surgery earlier this week after an incident during a tag team title match against The Hardys during last Sunday's Impact television tapings. "I was in the ring with Chris when the incident occurred last Sunday and I’ve been by his side ever since. It was just as normal as anything we’ve done in the ring thousands of times," Austin wrote. "Everything was alright until it wasn’t. Each moment is precious and I’m cherishing every moment I’ve had in the ring and around the world with Chris, and every moment I have by his side right now." Austin added that there will be a lot of hard work ahead and Chris won't be alone for any of it. "He’s going to be surrounded by love and support from every single one of us. The road to recovery is going to be easy as ABC," he concluded. While the injury he suffered was never disclosed, according to Bey's girlfriend he suffered a broken neck. ELDERLY MAN SCAMMED NEARLY $1 MILLION FROM ALEXA BLISS IMPOSTOR- The New York Times has published a story recounting how a man, named Alfred Mancinelli, was scammed out of almost $1 million from a person impersonating WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss online. The elderly man thought he was in a romantic relationship with Bliss and his entire savings and granddaughter's college fund were completely taken away by scammers. When his son tried to stop his father from spending more money, he sued his son and the last $100,000 which were frozen were returned back to him, which he also spent on the fake Alexa Bliss. The NY Times said that while Mancinelli was being scammed way back in 2018, things got worse during the pandemic. Mancinelli died at 79 yeas of age last Summer. After Swerve Strickland defeated Benjamin in the main event of the show, Bobby Lashley came out to the ring in a full suit and took out Strickland. Meanwhile, MVP attacked Prince Nana and Benjamin and Lashley continued to hammer on Strickland despite the attempted interference of several security individuals. MVP then told the crowd, "Guess who's back in business," a nod to their former WWE name Hurt Business. Lashley is believed to have signed with AEW several weeks ago and was the last piece of the puzzle in this former WWE faction to form in AEW. Lashley's WWE contract expired a couple of months ago and has not wrestled since May. You can see his arrival at . CASSIDY GETS TITLE SHOT AT FULL GEAR- The main event of Full Gear was announced last night and will feature AEW World champion Jon Moxley defending his title against Orange Cassidy. Cassidy called out the champion in the opening segment of Dynamite and requested the match, which was later made official. They were also involved in a brawl during the broadcast as Moxley's BCC continues to run riot in AEW. This is the second time in a row that Moxley and Cassidy will meet each other at Full Gear as last year the two wrestled for the International title, a match which Cassidy won and retained the title as well. Moxley's title defense against Cassidy later in November will be his first one since regaining the title at WrestleDream from his former BCC team mate Bryan Danielson. RUBY SOHO AND ANGELO PARKER WELCOME BABY DAUGHTER- AEW stars Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker welcomed their daughter today, Evie. Parker announced the birth of their first child in a post on social media, saying it was the perfect Halloween. "P.S. Your mom @realrubysoho is a total badass," he wrote, along with a photo of all three holding hands. Soho revealed she was pregnant in mid-April in a segment after Dynamite, telling her then-boyfriend that they're expecting. She last wrestled in February. The two tied the knot in Ohio on May 18. DWAYNE JOHNSON SET FOR JUMANJI 3- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is set to return for the third installment of the popular movie franchise Jumanji. His co-stars Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black, along with director Jake Kasdan are also expected to reunite for Jumanji 3, which has a release date of December 11, 2026 according to a story on Variety. The third installment comes from a script penned by Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg while Matt Tolmach, Johnson, Kasdan, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia will return as producers. This will be the last movie in the Jumanji series, with the first one grossing $960 million and the second doing over $800 million. NXT RATING- NXT dropped big this week, drawing just 588,000 viewers, a loss of 114,000 viewers from last week's broadcast. This was the least-watched episode of NXT since August 6. In 18-49, NXT had just a 0.14 rating, down 0.02 and the lowest since April 30. It had some heavy competition from the MLB World Series game which drew 16 million viewers and an NBA game as well. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) RHEA RIPLEY SUFFERS BROKEN ORBITAL BONE- Rhea Ripley will be out for an undetermined amount of time as she is suffering from a broken orbital bone. The attack on NXT by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez was to explain Ripley's absence from television for the weeks to come and for storyline reasons, WWE is attributing the injury due to the attack. The injury is believed to have happened last week when Ripley was involved in a brawl with Morgan and Rodriguez on Raw. It's the second time that Ripley is injured after brawling with Morgan, with the Australian star requiring to surrender her WWE Women's World title earlier this year after a backstage brawl segment with Morgan. That kept her out of action for three months. LIV MORGAN SIGNS NEW FIVE-YEAR DEAL WITH WWE- On the latest episode of Logan Paul Impaulsive podcast, WWE Women's World champion Liv Morgan revealed that she has signed a new five-year deal with WWE and plans on staying with the company as long as she is welcomed. Morgan told Paul that she would like to be in WWE for as much as they would allow her, but having said that, she's also thinking about life outside WWE. "But, yeah, as long as they will have me, I will happily be in WWE,” Morgan told Paul. "I just signed a new five-year deal, so my five-year plan is WWE. Yeah...so, that’s my five-year plan." Morgan discussed a variety of subjects while on the podcast, including her storyline with Rhea Ripley, hooking up with Dom Mysterio, and her run-in with the law last year where a police officer told her that her mug shot is so beautiful that she will go viral! Morgan is next in action on Saturday, taking on Nia Jax for the Crown Jewel Women's championship. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Next week should be even better. They're really loading it up again to face Dynamite but I don't expect them to beat AEW this time around on AEW's regular night. ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at ECW LEGENDS ON NXT NEXT WEEK- ECW legends Rob Van Dam, Bubba Ray Dudley, Francine, and Nunzio will all be appearing next week on NXT from the 2300 Arena, formerly known as the ECW Arena, in an episode which will go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite on the day after the United States presidential election. RVD showed up in a backstage segment with NXT General Manager Ava and told her he wants to be part of the show next week. Ava assured Van Dam that she will come up with something for him and later in the closing moments of the show, RVD appeared again when Wes Lee and Je'Von Evans were brawling backstage, saying that he has a great idea for next week. The Queen of Extreme herself, Francine, announced via a video on social media that she will be in Philadelphia as well for NXT. "On Wednesday, November 6, I am coming home to the place where it all started for me, the ECW Arena," Francine said in the video. "Philly, NXT get ready because we are going to take you to the extreme!" Another ECW original, Nunzio is appar ently on the way to Philly too after NXT North American champion Tony D'Angelo had a phone voice mail in a heavy Italian accent, saying that it was blatant disrespect that he had to hear secondhand about NXT coming to Philly. He told the champ to bring the title too and then Vic Joseph and Booker T wondered if that was Nunzio making the call. And Bubba Ray Dudley will be wrestling on the show, teaming up with NXT champion Trick Williams to take on Ridge Holland and Ethan Page. Dudley initially shot down the idea, saying that he did not want to steal a spot from someone else but later agreed to the match. JORDYNNE GRACE MAKES SURPRISE APPEARANCE ON NXT- Former TNA Knockouts champion Jordynne Grace made a surprise appearance on NXT last night and will be involved in next week's broadcast as well in a massive 10-woman tag team match. After Zaria defeated Brinley Reece in her NXT in-ring debut, she was interrupted by Fatal Influence, with Fallon Henley saying that she stole their thunder last Sunday so now they are returning the favor. Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade then interrupted saying that they wanted to introduce Zaria to the women's division. Kelani Jordan, Stephanie Vaquer, and Giulia came out to add some numbers to Zaria's side but as Perez correctly pointed out, it was still four vs five. Cue in the sirens and out came a smiling Jordynne Grace as the WWE PC exploded. All 10 women stood across each other and a massive brawl ensued. The faces, one by one, got rid of the heels, with Zaria and Grace throwing Perez like a dart out of the ring. The 10-woman tag match was then made official for next week with Zaria, Jordan, Vaquer, G iulia, and Grace vs Perez, Jade, Henley, Jayne, and Nyx. You can see the cool segment at . RHEA RIPLEY LEFT BLOODIED BY LIV MORGAN AND RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ- Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez all showed up on NXT last night, and unfortunately for Ripley, it did not end well for her. During a backstage segment with NXT GM Ava, several officials ran towards the parking lot, passing by a smiling Morgan and Rodriguez, both of whom were carrying baseball bats. Cameras then revealed a very Rhea bloody Ripley laid out by her car, with blood dripping from her face. Earlier in the show, Ripley made a surprise appearance in a backstage segment giving a pep talk to Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and Zaria, telling them to go blow the roof off the 2300 Arena. You can see it at . RAW RATING- WWE Raw this week averaged just 1,400,000 viewers, down 180,000 viewers from last week going against heavy competition in the form of NFL and MLB World Series programming. The show started with 1,420,000 viewers in the first hour and then 1,380,000 viewers in the second hour, making this the second least-watched episode of Raw of 2024. NFL did a combined audience of 13 million viewers and the MLB World Series game did another 13 million viewers. Raw had a 0.42 rating in 18-49, down 0.09 from last week and the lowest of 2024. It was still #4 on cable TV for the night behind the NFL programming and beat every entertainment show easily. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) CHRIS BEY ISSUES STATEMENT ON INJURY- Chris Bey, who remains hospitalized in Detroit following neck surgery, issued a statement which TNA Wrestling posted on its website and social media properties. Bey was injured during the Sunday television tapings in a match against The Hardys, just 24 hours after losing the TNA Tag Team titles with his partner Ace Austin. "I just want to take a few moments to extend my heartfelt thanks and deepest appreciation for so much and to so many over the past few days," Bey wrote. "From everyone at TNA Wrestling, to the incredible medical staff here in Detroit, to family, friends and fans worldwide, I know you have been praying for my full recovery from the in-ring accident this past Sunday." Bey added that Monday was "day one" for him on this journey which he knows will be long and challenging. "Thanks again for the love and support, and please keep the prayers coming," he concluded. It was never revealed what kind of injury Bey sustained, except that it was neck related. A GoFundMe campa ign was launched with a target of $100,000 to help Bey. As of this writing, over $70,000 was raised, with individuals like Adam Copeland, Scott D'Amore, Matt Hardy, Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Nick Nemeth, Will Ospreay, Matt Cardona, Mercedes Mone, Jonathan Gresham and Jordynne Grace, Raj Dhesi and others all submitting significant sums. Several matches have been announced for the show including The Young Bucks defending the AEW Tag Team titles against Private Party, Swerve Strickland vs Shelton Benjamin, Kamille takes on Kris Statlander, and Adam Cole battles Buddy Matthews. Plus, Hangman Adam Page and Orange Cassidy will also be in the house for in-ring segments. KENNY OMEGA TO APPEAR AT NJPW POWER STRUGGLE EVENT- Former AEW World champion Kenny Omega will be appearing at the New Japan Pro-Wrestling Power Struggle event on November 4 in Osaka, Japan. The announcement came from NJPW, wondering what will come from this special appearance after Omega met with NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi recently. Omega has not wrestled since the December 5, 2023 episode of Collision against Ethan Page and has been out recovering from diverticulitis which was nearly fatal for him. He last appeared on AEW television in the beginning of May and was taken out by The Elite in his hometown of Winnipeg. He underwent diverticulitis surgery just a couple of weeks later. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

The program will be called WWE ID, short for WWE Independent Development. “WWE ID is the latest in our efforts to identify and support the journey of up-and-coming wrestlers, in turn raising the profile of and strengthening the independent wrestling ecosystem,” said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Following the 2021 launch of WWE’s NIL program, WWE ID has been constructed to support independent wrestling prospects and wrestling schools with world-class training, development and mentorship. Under the program, WWE will provide prominent independent wrestling schools with the WWE ID official designation, with the goal of providing new trainees and existing talent at these select institutions with enhanced developmental opportunities. Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling (Houston), Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Factory (Atlanta), Seth Rollins’ Black and Brave Academy (Davenport, Iowa), Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center (Concord, N.H.) and KnokX Pro Academy (Los Angeles) are the first WWE ID independent wrestling schools to earn the official designation. Additionally, WWE ID will identify top independent wrestling prospects with an official WWE ID “prospect” designation and support their developmental journey by providing financial opportunity and assisting with training, mentorship and development, including access to world-class facilities, best-in-class ring training, athletic trainers and more. WWE ID will give fans the opportunity to follow the paths of these standout prospects on the independent wrestling scene through curated, behind-the-scenes content, as well as highlights and matches showcased across WWE’s social platforms. To learn more about WWE ID and WWE’s recruiting process, please visit recruit.wwe.com. AJ STYLES SAYS HE SHOT DOWN TNA HOF OPPORTUNITY NOT WWE- In a post on social media replying to fans, former WWE champion AJ Styles revealed it was his choice to turn down the TNA Hall of Fame induction, and not WWE as previously reported. "I’m still an active wrestler...I hope," Styles said. "I made the decision not to go into the TNA HOF, not WWE." Styles said that he appreciates TNA but he does not want to go into any Hall of Fames as long as he's still active. "My choice," he concluded. Styles is currently out injured with a foot injury, an injury he suffered during Smackdown earlier this month in a match against Carmelo Hayes. THOUSANDS OF WRESTLEMANIA TICKETS GO ON RE-SALE- Thousands of WrestleMania tickets went on re-sale on Ticketmaster, showing that despite the incredible cost of each ticket, thousands of individuals still bought them to resell them and make money off their original price. Some tickets occupy full rows in certain sections and tickets in the bleachers four rows from the very top of the stadium are now being re-sold for over $1,200 plus the usual extra fees. The most expensive ticket remains at ringside for $15,000 while the cheapest single ticket is $900. The cheapest verified resale ticket is $1,123 and they go all the way up to $6,046. All numbers quoted are without the additional taxes and fees. Only two-day combo tickets for WrestleMania 41 are available for now. Single tickets will be released at a later time, most likely from the remaining inventory of the combo seats. BLOODLINE VS BLOODLINE ADDED TO CROWN JEWEL- The seventh and final match to the Crown Jewel card was announced on social media today and it's a big six-man tag match featuring The Bloodline. Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso will reunite as they take on Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu. This is the first time that all these Bloodline members will be in the same ring wrestling together. The match will serve as a preview for the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames match which is rumored to feature a four vs four, Bloodline vs Bloodline match as the main event of the show. Crown Jewel is sold out and will air this coming Saturday at a special start time of 1PM ET on Peacock and WWE Network. SMACKDOWN RATING- Smackdown drew 1,418,000 viewers last week, up 40,000 viewers from the previous episode. This is the second least-watched episode of Smackdown of 2024. In 18-49, Smackdown had a 0.43 rating, up 0.01 from last week and was #1 on cable television for the night and #2 in all of television, beating everything else on network except for MLB World Series game 1 on FOX which drew nearly 15 million viewers. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) WWE RETURNING TO MSG ON DECEMBER 26- WWE is returning to Madison Square Garden for their annual holiday event on Boxing Day. The show was left out of the schedule when WWE announced its holiday tour dates, most likely because it had Saturday Night's Main Event in the area to sell as well. The event was announced via a video by New York Knicks' Jalen Brunson at yesterday's NBA game inside the world's most famous arena. Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, November 1 at Ticketmaster.com. TNA SHARES MEDICAL UPDATES ON CHRIS BEY AND VIKINGO- TNA has shared medical updates on Chris Bey and Vikingo after they both suffered injuries during the Bound For Glory weekend in Detroit. Bey, who suffered a neck injury during the Impact TV tapings on Sunday, underwent successful surgery and had an MRI yesterday for further evaluation. Bey is still in hospital and will remain there for a few more days, with family members joining him, along with TNA Wrestling management and wrestlers who are staying in Detroit. Vikigno palso had a trip to the hospital on Sunday night for a right knee injury and is currently on crutches wearing a knee brace. The Mexican star flew back home on Monday and TNA says he will be examined and treated by his specialist. "TNA Wrestling thanks everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers. We will update when additional updates are known. Please respect the privacy of Chris Bey and Vikingo, and their families, during this difficult time," the statement said. RAMPAGE RATING- Rampage last Friday night on TNT drew 241,000 viewers, up 7,000 viewers from the prior week. The show had a 0.09 rating in 18-49, up 0.03 from the last show and was #11 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) COLLISION RATING- Collision on TNT this past Saturday drew 321,000 viewers, down 25,000 viewers from the prior week. The show had a 0.09 rating in 18-49, down 0.01 from the last show and placed #6 in the top 50 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Wrestlenomics) VINCE MCMAHON WORKING TO LAUNCH NEW ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY- PWInsider.com is reporting in an exclusive story that Vince McMahon is setting up a new company which would "back, develop and produce film and television productions." The website adds that two former WWE executives, Brad Blum and Kristen Prouty, are also closely working with McMahon in hopes of launching the company once all the legal hurdles have been cleared. Blum is WWE's former Chief Operating Officer and one of McMahon's lieutenants in WWE while Prouty is WWE's former Senior Vice President of Entertainment Relations. PWInsider also adds that if and when the company launches, it would be based from Los Angeles, which makes sense since most major movie production studios are based there. McMahon, currently facing a couple of lawsuits from his time as WWE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has been largely quiet ever since he was driven out of TKO and WWE earlier this year. He has remained out of the spotlight, with his attorneys answering questions when required. The 78-year-old was also the subject of the Netflix docuseries Mr. McMahon, and he offered his thoughts on the project a few days before it was released. Vince is also the subject of a federal investigation which kicked off after Janel Grant filed her lawsuit for sexual trafficking against himself, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Entertaining show nonetheless, but a far cry from the Takeover era, which I really miss. ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at NXT HALLOWEEN HAVOC RESULTS- Here are the results from last night’s NXT Halloween Havoc 2024 event which took place live from the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Tony D’Angelo defeated Oba Femi in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares match to retain the NXT North American title; Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia defeated Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade; Ridge Holland defeated Andre Chase in an Ambulance match; Fallon Henley defeated Kelani Jordan in a Gauntlet match to become the new NXT Women’s North American champion; Trick Williams defeated Ethan Page in a Devil’s Playground match to retain the NXT title. BUBBA RAY DUDLEY GETS INVOLVED AT HALLOWEEN HAVOC- WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley saved NXT champion Trick Williams last night after the main event of Halloween Havoc. Williams successfully defeated Ethan Page on the show but then was attacked by Ridge Holland, who earlier destroyed Andre Chase in an Ambulance match. With Holland and Page double teaming the NXT champion, Bubba Ray came out and cleaned house, evening up the odds for the champion. Bubba Ray Dudley's involvement will lead to something for next week as NXT tapes its show from the 2300 Arena, formerly known as the ECW Arena in Philadelphia as it goes head-to-head with AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, November 6. Dudley served as an analyst throughout the broadcast with his broadcast partner Dave LaGreca of Busted Open Radio. Earlier in the show, Holland confronted Dudley twice, first during the pre-show and then after he won the match. You can see it at . DAWN MARIE RETURNS TO ECW ARENA NEXT WEEK ON NXT- An ECW legend is returning to the ECW Arena next week as Dawn Marie will serve as the special guest referee for a match between Lola Vice and Jaida Parker. The match, announced by NXT General Manager Ava, will be contested under hardcore rules and that required the services of someone who is pretty used to the extreme environment of the 2300 Arena. The 53-year-old worked for ECW between 1998 and 2001, managing Lance Storm and Justin Credible, better known as The Impact Players. Marie moved to WWE in 2002 where she stayed there for three years. 1 DEADMAN SHOW RETURNING IN DECEMBER- Undertaker's 1 deadMAN SHOW is returning for three dates in December across three of Texas' biggest cities: Dallas, Houston, and Austin. The first show will be on December 13 at The Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas. It will be followed by a show at 713 Music Hall in Houston on December 14, and then the final date at Emo's Austin in Austin on December 15. Tickets go on pre-sale on Thursday, October 31 and a general sale on Friday, November 1 at 10AM CT. The last 1 deadMAN SHOW was held in Cleveland at The Agora during SummerSlam weekend. WWE TURNS DOWN TNA REQUEST TO INDUCT AJ STYLES IN HALL OF FAME- Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting through his Select service that TNA Wrestling approached WWE to induct AJ Styles into the TNA Hall of Fame this year, a request which was denied by the company, at least for now. Sapp says no specific reason was given although TNA sources believe the reason it was turned down is because of Styles' current injury and perhaps future storyline plans. Styles worked for TNA Wrestling from 2002 until 2014 and was an integral part of the company since its early days, winning every title imaginable in the promotion including being a two-time TNA champion and three-time NWA champion when the NWA World title was TNA's main belt. The former WWE champion suffered a foot injury on the October 4 episode of Smackdown in his first WWE match since June. It's unclear how long Styles will be out for at this point. HULK HOGAN RETURNS AT MSG FOR DONALD TRUMP RALLY- Hulk Hogan returned to Madison Square Garden last night, not for a wrestling show, but to be part of President Donald Trump's event ahead of the U.S. presidential election next week. Hogan came out with his red and yellow Hulkamania shirt and bandana, red and yellow feather boa, and waving an American flag to what sounded a remix of his WWE theme song Real American. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer had trouble ripping his tank top though as he had two on top of each other and grabbed both by mistake rather than the top one which was pre-ripped to make it easier to take off. Hogan then made a five-minute speech to the "Trumpamaniacs" at the jam-packed Madison Square Garden, at one point saying, "I don't see no stinkin' Nazis in here. I don't see no stinkin' domestic terrorists in here. The only thing I see in here are a bunch of hard-working men and women that are real Americans, brother!" Hulk also made an appearance and a speech several weeks ago at the Republican National Convention where Trump was confirmed as the candidate for the party. You can see his appearance at . RIC FLAIR'S STEPSON PASSES AWAY AT AGE 24- Wendy Barlow's son, Sebastian Kidder, who was also Ric Flair's stepson, passed away at 24 years of age this past weekend after a suicide. TMZ reported the news yesterday. Flair, who just recently separated from Barlow, issued a long statement on social media, saying that spent hours wondering what to say after he heard the news. "I can only imagine what Wendy & Paul are going through having lost a son approximately the same age in 2013," Flair wrote. "I know the pain of your loss will be with you the rest of your life. I still every day of my life think about Reid as you will continue to think about Sebastian." Flair said that he blamed himself for his son's death after he made Reid his best friend rather than being a good parent, but Sebastian's parents can't blame themselves for his death. "I’m so thankful for the time I had with Sebastian. I have so many great memories & bonding time with him as he grew up," Flair continued. "He stood tall by his mother along with the whole family - Sophia, Paris, and Summer, while I was dying." Flair urged Wendy to stay strong and let nothing deter her from all her successful endeavors she has in place in the future. CHRIS BEY SUFFERS SERIOUS INJURY AT TNA TAPINGS- Former TNA Tag Team champion Chris Bey suffered a serious injury on Sunday at the TNA Impact television tapings in Detroit and was stretchered out of the arena. The injury, which resulted in EMTs putting Bey in a neck brace, was serious enough that multiple news outlets are reporting that he had to undergo surgery, but details are scarce at the moment. Bey and his tag team partner Ace Austin were in the main event of the second set of tapings, wrestling the new TNA Tag Team champions The Hardys. The tapings ended prematurely due to the incident, with many TNA stars asking for prayers for Bey on social media. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

BALOR AND MCDONAGH AT OTT 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW- The WWE World Tag Team champions, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day made a rare indie appearance last night in Dublin, Ireland. The two took part in OTT's Tenth Year Anniversary event at the National Stadium and defeated Matthew Smyth and Sean Guinness of The Social Elite in front of a packed crowd. Both are OTT alumni and received a massive ovation when they were introduced for the main event match, with the crowd even singing along to The Judgment Day's theme song The Other Side, performed by Alter Bridge. Former WWE Superstars Big Damo and Rene Dupree were also part of the show in the other main event, with Big Damo retaining the OTT World title. WILLOW NIGHTINGALE SUFFERS CONCUSSION- AEW star Willow Nightingale suffered a concussion on Friday during the CMLL show at Arena Mexico and has been pulled out of the other weekend shows she was supposed to be part of. Nightingale missed last night's show at Arena Coliseo and will not be featured in tonight's Arena Mexico event as advertised after CMLL made the announcement following her injury. CMLL said that in line with concussion protocols established by both CMLL and AEW, Nightingale must fully recover before stepping back in the ring. Last night, Zeuxis took her place while for tonight, Persephone will replace her. The former TBS champion was part of Team World in the 20-woman elimination tag team match on Friday night. AEW FILES FOR THREE MAX-RELATED NAME TRADEMARKS- With AEW soon making its debut on the Max streaming service in the United States, the company has filed three trademark applications for AEW WrestleMax, AEW Max Month, and WrestleMax with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. All three have an application date of October 25 with All Elite Wrestling LLC listed as the owner. The applications were filed under the goods and services of entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances, production, programs, and events which are distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media. Dynamite and Collision will be simulcast live on Max starting from January 2025 so a cable subscription will not be required to watch the shows as long as you have a Max subscription. AEW pay-per-views will also come to Max sometime next year at a discounted price for those who purchase them on that system. SAMANTHA IRVIN SAYS SHE HATED ANNOUNCING- Responding to messages on social media after she announced her departure from WWE, Samantha Irvin revealed that she does not like announcing and her announcing gig was only supposed to be her way in WWE. "I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day," Irvin commented. "But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action but I don’t love being an announcer." Irvin also said that thanks to her millionaire husband, she doesn't have to do a job she doesn't like anymore. Fans were shocked this past Monday when Irvin announced via a post on social media that she was quitting WWE effective immediately. WWE brought back Lilian Garcia full time as Raw ring announcer to replace her. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

It's also available for $39.99 from TNA+. MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS WIN WWE TAG TEAM TITLES- The Motor City Machine Guns won the WWE Tag Team titles just in their second week of their WWE journey, defeating The Bloodline in the main event segment of Smackdown with some help from Jimmy Uso, Roman Reigns, and Jey Uso. MCMG defeated DIY to become the number one contenders for the tag team titles and were then confronted by The Bloodline, with Solo Sikoa saying that if they really wanted to make an "impact," they should wrestle now. MCMG accepted the invitation and Smackdown General Manger made the impromptu match. With Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa interfering, they were met by Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns, who evened the odds and took the brawl to the back. There was a ref bump in the match, which led to Jey Uso coming out and taking out Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga as revenge for their involvement on Monday in his IC title match. Jey then revived the referee and Sabin and Shelley hit their Skull and Bones finisher and the ref counted to three as the Brooklyn crowd exploded. This win makes Motor City Machine Guns one of the most decorated tag teams in the history of pro wrestling, with the in-ring veterans winning TNA, ROH, NJPW, and WWE gold. You can see the ending at . JEY AND JIMMY USO REUNITE AT SMACKDOWN- The Usos have reunited on Smackdown, playing a part in causing The Bloodline to lose their WWE Tag Team titles to newcomers Motor City Machine Guns. After the MCMG celebrated in the ring with their gold, Jey Uso stayed in the ring and his brother Jimmy walked back out. After a brief staredown, the two hugged in the middle of the ring and the Brooklyn crowd acknowledged. Roman Reigns also walked briefly out to the top of the stage and looked on as the brothers hugged, with a pensive expression as he has been adamant of "no yeet" in weeks prior. The brothers had been feuding for months prior to WrestleMania XL ever since the original Bloodline split. You can see the video at . NEW MATCHES ADDED TO CROWN JEWEL- Three new matches were added to the Crown Jewel card last night on Smackdown, with the show now having a total of six and maybe one more match left to be added. In the opening segment of the show, Randy Orton persuaded WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque to book his match against Kevin Owens even though HHH was against the idea because of an unhinged Owens. The United States title will be defended in a triple threat match as LA Knight will defend against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes. Knight served as the referee for match seven between Andrade and Hayes last night and it ended in a no contest with a flat ending. Also, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend their WWE Women's Tag Team titles against Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, and NXT's Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson in a fatal four-way match. Crown Jewel takes place next Saturday, November 2, live from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia at 1PM ET. CROWN JEWEL SOLD OUT- Next week's Crown Jewel is officially sold out and no more tickets are available for purchase through the WeBook.com website. Tickets were as cheap as 50 SAR, the equivalent of $14 and went all the way up to 1,000 SAR, or $265 for ringside. Regardless of attendance and gate revenue, WWE gets paid $50 million per show in Saudi Arabia, which is way more than any show, including WrestleMania, generates for the company. There are still tickets for the Raw taping the following day. The show is also close to a complete sell out, with the only tickets remaining costing 70 SAR, or $19. Both events are at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh. MARIA KANELLIS STILL IN HOSPITAL FOLLOWING SURGERY- Maria Kanellis, who underwent surgery to remove a mass from her adrenal gland a few days ago, is still stuck in hospital after she was originally set to be discharged the next day of her surgery. Kanellis went under the knife on October 24 and her husband said that she was being kept overnight for observation before being allowed to go home, but in a social media post today, Kanellis revealed she is still in hospital. She said that she is suffering from nausea and headaches when standing up and it could be a blood pressure issue so doctors will keep her at least for another night. "The surgery went well and my bloodwork looks good. We should have the biopsy results in 7-10 days to figure out exactly what the mass was," she noted, praising the staff at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

And how much did you end up spending on it? ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at WRESTLEMANIA 41 TICKETS ON SALE- WrestleMania 41 tickets officially went on general sale today at 1PM ET / 10AM PT on Ticketmaster.com after two days of pre-sale which saw thousands of tickets sold at eye-popping prices. Tickets were originally priced $450, $650, $850, $1,000, $1,400, $2,000, $3,000, $5,000, and $10,000, but Ticketmaster is using dynamic pricing for the show due to the huge demand, inflating the prices by over 100% in most sections. There's also the addition of a service fee, facility fee, order processing fee, and the Las Vegas Live Entertainment Tax, which is another 9% of the total price. Already the most expensive event in WWE history, this WrestleMania is on track to have the largest gave ever for a WWE show. WWE has not announced any number of tickets sold yet but you can rest assured that number will come out soon. WrestleMania 41 takes place on April 19 and 20 live from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. DOUBLE SMACKDOWN TAPING TONIGHT- Fans attending tonight's Smackdown at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York will be sitting down for two shows as next week's Smackdown is also being taped tonight. WWE Superstars will be heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next week and unlike last year when Smackdown was held the night before live in Riyadh, this time it will be taped and instead, Raw will be taped on Sunday night in the same location as Crown Jewel. Over 10,000 tickets have already been distributed for tonight's broadcast, with both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in the house. WWE had a slow start for ticket sales at this particular location but sales picked up over the last two weeks mainly due to a discount offer. Not much is advertised for Smackdown tonight apart from a face-to-face between champions Cody Rhodes and Gunther and match seven between Carmelo Hayes and Andrade. SURVIVOR SERIES TO START AN HOUR EARLIER- Survivor Series next month is now scheduled to start at 6PM ET rather than the usual 7PM start time. A notice to ticket holders was sent via e-mail notifying them of the time change. Bad Blood also started at 6PM earlier this month due to the UFC pay-per-view which was also held on the same night. It's unclear why the decision was made to also move Survivor Series to an hour earlier because there are no other scheduled TKO shows that night. Survivor Series: WarGames will be taking place live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada on Saturday, November 30. There are over 15,000 tickets sold so far and the arena is being used in full and can accommodate over 17,000 fans. CODY RHODES SAYS WM 41 WILL TOP WM 40- While in Las Vegas to promote the WrestleMania 41 tickets which came out earlier today, WWE champion Cody Rhodes said that what happens at WrestleMania 41 will top WrestleMania 40. "At WrestleMania 40, we finished the story. Now going to WrestleMania 41, we have to top it," Cody said. "Here's what I say, without giving anything away. What happens at WrestleMania 41 won't match up with all the rumors you see out there, I think it will be unexpected and 100% unequivocally will top WrestleMania 40." There have been several rumors for WrestleMania 41, including The Rock also not being there. That was a rumor that The Rock himself quickly shot down and said not to believe the "BS" that people put out online. The cheapest WrestleMania ticket available is $940 plus taxes and fees at the moment and the most expensive is $15,000 plus taxes and fees. MARIA KANELLIS UNDERGOES SURGERY TO REMOVE MASS- Maria Kanellis underwent successful surgery to remove a mass on her adrenal gland and is in hospital recovering. Her husband, Mike Bennett, said that the surgery went well and she was spending the night at the hospital for observation but was supposed to be released today. “My wife is a badass. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out. We love y’all so very much," Bennett wrote. Four months ago, Kanellis announced that she had a mass in her adrenal gland and diagnosis if it was cancerous or not would not be available until she undergoes surgery to remove it. Kanellis is on her way out of AEW/ROH as her contract expires at the end of this month and the company did not respond to her questions if she was getting re-signed. She also said that she would be accepting interviews to discuss her time and treatment in AEW next month. DYNAMITE RATING- Dynamite this week drew 637,000 viewers, up 4,000 viewers from the prior week. The show had a 0.19 rating in 18-49, down 0.01 from the last show and was #7 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. Dynamite faced NBA and NHL Playoffs as sports competition. Originally, tickets were priced $450, $650, $850, $1,000, $1,400, $2,000, $3,000, $5,000, and $10,000, but now it's impossible to find a ticket at those prices. Ticketmaster uses dynamic ticket pricing depending on demand and has tried to justify its practice by comparing it to airlines and hotels which also increase costs based on demand. It's a tactic used mainly in concerts, where prices go up big time if there's a huge demand for a show and now this practice has also moved to WWE events. A row 4 ticket, which was originally $10,000, is now $15,000 plus taxes and fees. After all is said and done, there's an additional $3,562 in fees plus the Las Vegas Entertainment Tax which amounts to another $1,350, for a total price of just over $19,900. A level 200 seat which yesterday sold for $850 plus fees is now $1,850, over 100% more than its original price, and that does not include taxes or fees. The cheapest two-night ticket available on Ticketmaster at the moment is $1,600 and that is in the level 300. It's unclear how much tickets WWE moved yesterday after the pre-sale started. Tickets will open to the general public tomorrow. NXT RATING- NXT drew 702 viewers this week on The CW, up 63,000 viewers from the prior week. The show had a 0.16 rating in 18-49, down 0.02 from the last show and the lowest number since the August 20 episode on USA Network. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) TKO ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF PBR, ON LOCATION, AND IMG- TKO Group Holdings, Inc announced today it has reached a definitive agreement with Endeavor Group Holdings to acquire Professional Bull Riders, On Location, and IMG in an all-equity transaction valued at $3.25 billion. In addition to complementing TKO’s existing core UFC and WWE businesses, the strategic acquisition of these sports and hospitality assets from Endeavor expands TKO’s operational footprint in the fast-growing premium sports market and enables direct participation in the upside from partner leagues and events. Ariel Emanuel, Executive Chair and CEO of TKO, said: “Today’s announcements reflect the continued strength of our underlying business and our commitment to deploying capital through a balanced capital allocation strategy, including through our share repurchase program and quarterly cash dividend program. This underscores our continued focus on delivering sustainable long-term value for our shareholders.” Mark Shapiro, President and COO of TKO, said: “PBR, On Location, and IMG are industry-leading assets that meaningfully enhance TKO’s portfolio and strengthen our position in premium sports globally. Within TKO, they will help power the growth of our revenue streams and position us to capture even more upside from some of the most attractive parts of our sports ecosystem: media rights, live events, ticket sales, premium experiences, brand partnerships, and site fees. These assets are already built into our business strategy at TKO and will serve to further enhance our strong track record of execution across UFC and WWE.” WALL STREET REACTS NEGATIVELY TO LATEST TKO NEWS- Today's TKO news of acquiring PBR, On Location, and IMG didn't go down well with Wall Street and the stock is down around 9% at time of this writing. Under the terms of the agreement, TKO will acquire the Endeavor assets for a total consideration of $3.25 billion, based on the 25-trading-day volume-weighted average price of TKO’s Class A common stock for the period ending on October 23, 2024. Endeavor will receive approximately 26.14 million common units of TKO Operating Company, LLC and will subscribe for an equal number of shares of TKO’s Class B common stock, with Endeavor expected to own approximately 59% of TKO alongside the other existing TKO shareholders, who will own the remaining 41% upon completion of the transaction. The transaction is also subject to purchase price adjustments to be settled in cash and equity. In addition to the acquisition news, the company also said that that its board of directors has authorized a share repurchase program of up to $2.0 billion of its Class A common stock and the initiation of a quarterly cash dividend program pursuant to which holders of TKO’s Class A common stock will receive their pro rata share of $75.0 million in quarterly distributions to be made by TKO Operating Company, LLC. BECKY LYNCH TO APPEAR AT VULTURE FESITVAL- "The Man" Becky Lynch is coming around at Vulture Festival next month on Sunday, November 17. The former champion, using her WWE name, will be part of a conversation titled "Becky Lynch Disarms Us," a takeoff of her finishing move. The preview reads, "WWE Superstar, trailblazer, and New York Times best-selling author Rebecca Quin will join us for a conversation about her recent memoir Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl. We’ll look back on her legendary career — from her early days grinding on the road to being in the first ever women’s match to main event WrestleMania — and just maybe get a glimpse at what The Man has in store for us next." Lynch exited WWE on June 1 of this year after her contract expired and opted not to re-sign. It's the first time since 2013 that she is not part of WWE. MCMAHON'S ATTORNEY REACTS TO "RING BOYS" LAWSUIT- Vince McMahon's attorney Jessica Rosenberg reacted to the lawsuit filed yesterday against Vince and Linda McMahon along with WWE concerning the former WWE "Ring Boys." The lawsuit, filed on behalf of five former ring boys, alleges negligence for allowing "systemic and pervasive abuse" of underage children. "More than 30 years ago, the columnist Phil Mushnick tried to make headlines with these same false claims," Rosenberg said in a statement issued later in the evening. "Those allegations were never proven and ultimately became the subject of a defamation lawsuit against Mr. Mushnick." She continued, "The negligence claims against Mr. McMahon that were asserted today rely on these same absurd, defamatory and utterly meritless statements by Mr. Mushnick. We will vigorously defend Mr. McMahon and are confident the court will find that these claims are untrue and unfounded." The lawsuit, which was filed by DiCello Levitt and Murphy, Falcon & Murphy, says that the McMahons knew about and did not stop decades of sexual assault, spearheaded by former WWE ring announcer and ring crew boss Melvin Phillips Jr. Phillips, who died in 2012, is said to have hired underage boys, sometimes as young as 12, to assist in setting up the ring, then groomed and abused them. Terry Garvin and Pat Patterson were also involved in the allegations at the time and were both fired, along with Phillips. The story became public in 1992. FIRST MATCH FOR FULL GEAR ANNOUNCED- The first match for AEW's Full Gear has been announced and it will feature MJF taking on either Adam Cole or Roderick Strong. The match was made last night on Dynamite as Cole and Strong reunited The Undisputed Kingdom with their first target being MJF. MJF, appearing via video getting a massage, said that he won't be appearing on AEW television until the pay-per-view and laid out a challenge to both men: the first one to win three matches on AEW TV until then will get him at Full Gear. Cole's first match will be on the Fright Night episode of Dynamite next week, his first match in 13 months. CHRIS JERICHO WINS ROH WORLD TITLE- Chris Jericho has secured his ninth major world title in his career after he defeated Mark Briscoe last night on Dynamite in a ladder war to become the new ROH World champion. Jericho had some assistance from Bryan Keith and Big Bill in order to win the match, with Big Bill chokeslamming Briscoe off the ladder through tables and then carrying Jericho on his shoulders as he climbed the ladder so Jericho could snatch the title. After the match, Jericho's first opponent quickly emerged in the form of Tomohiro Ishii. This ends Briscoe's 202-day run with the title and it's Jericho's second time as ROH champion. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

The pre-sale code you can use is MANIA. The show was being promoted on the front page of Ticketmaster.com yesterday ahead of today's pre-sale. Tickets for WrestleMania 41 will go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 25 at 1PM ET / 10AM PT also on Ticketmaster.com. WRESTLEMANIA 41: THE MOST EXPENSIVE WWE EVENT EVER IN HISTORY- WrestleMania 41 tickets went on pre-sale earlier today to extravagant prices, making this WrestleMania the most-expensive event ever in WWE history. Service fees for each ticket were the amount of a regular ticket, with well over $300 in fees for regular tickets. There was a service fee, facility charge, order processing fee, and the Las Vegas Live Entertainment Tax, which is another 9% of the total price. Tickets in the rafters were going for $1,000 each, something which drew ire from fans. "For two nosebleed 2-day tickets for WrestleMania. This is insane," said one user on X, showing a total of $2,344.74. That included $447.50 in service fees and $156.24 in taxes. "Ticket fees really should not be the amount of another ticket," said another one, with $1,200 per ticket amounting to $3,261.14 including taxes for two. $839 of that amount were all taxes and fees. "Worse seats than last year that I paid $1500 total last year," said another. "The @wwe is greedy." A photo posted on X showed six tickets for a total of $8,964.92, with $2,370 of which were taxes and fees. Tickets went on pre-sale at 1PM ET using the code MANIA. TWO NEW MATCHES ADDED TO HALLOWEEN HAVOC- Two new matches were added to this Saturday's NXT Halloween Havoc premium live event with the card now finalized with the usual five matches. Kelani Jordan will defend her NXT Women's North American title against one member of Fatal Influence, with the Halloween Havoc Wheel stopping on a Spinner's Choice match. Also, former Chase U team mates Andre Chase and Ridge Holland will meet each other in an ambulance match, a week after Chase returned to NXT following a beating from Holland at the No Mercy event last month. These two matches join Trick Williams vs Ethan Page for the NXT title, Tony D'Angelo vs Oba Femi for the NXT North American title, and Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade vs Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer on the card. AUSTRALIAN STAR DELTA DEBUTS ON NXT UNDER NEW NAME- Australian star Delta has made her debut in NXT, now using a new name - Zaria. Videos hyping up her arrival have been airing for the past few weeks on NXT television and it was implied that she would be making her first appearance at Halloween Havoc this weekend. Her arrival came at the end of NXT, after Fatal Influence did the spin the wheel gimmick for the match against Kelani Jordan. With the credits done and the wheel stopped, the lights went out and images of Zaria showed up, along with the Halloween Havoc logo. But then she stepped out in the WWE Performance Center in front of a bright white backdrop wearing a red outfit and looking like an absolute monster. "Booker, she's here," screamed Vic Joseph on commentary. "Woooow," added Booker T as the broadcast went to black. She is the latest to join the NXT women's division following the arrival of Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. You can see her debut at RAW RATING- Raw this week had the best number since switching to two hours, drawing 1,580,000 viewers, up 40,000 viewers from the previous week. The show has remained in the 1.5 million average for the past month. Raw started with 1,610,000 viewers and then decreased to 1,550,000 viewers in the second hour. It faced an NFL game airing on ABC and ESPN which did 16 million viewers in total. Raw was #3 and #4 in the top 50 cable chart for the night among the 18-49 demo with 0.51 rating across both hours, putting it #3 overall on cable TV and #5 in all of television. It was up 0.07 from last week's number and the best one since August 26. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) MAJOR LAWSUIT FILED BY FORMER "RING BOYS" AGAINST WWE AND MCMAHONS- DiCello Levitt and Murphy, Falcon & Murphy filed a major lawsuit today against World Wrestling Entertainment, Vincent K. McMahon, Linda McMahon, and TKO Group Holdings, Inc on behalf of five survivors of sexual abuse. The survivors (John Does 1-5) were known within WWE as “Ring Boys,” underaged boys hired by the organization’s ringside announcer and ring crew chief Melvin Phillips Jr. to assist with errands and other tasks in preparation for WWE’s wrestling shows. The lawsuit says that the underaged Ring Boys were groomed, exploited, and sexually abused by Phillips, who targeted children from broken homes. His sexual assaults occurred not only at the wrestling venues, but also in hotel rooms and other locations where Phillips would shuttle the boys in plain sight. Defendants were fully aware of the systemic and pervasive abuse and did nothing to prevent or stop it. The FBI previously identified at least 10 Ring Boys abused by Phillips, but there are likely countless others who have suffered in silence for decades. “Thanks to the bravery of our clients, we finally have a chance to hold accountable those who allowed and enabled the open, rampant sexual abuse of these young boys,” said Greg Gutzler, a partner at DiCello Levitt, who is leading the litigation. “That so many were aware of the sexual abuse of the Ring Boys and did nothing to prevent or stop it is simply unconscionable.” The survivors only recently learned of the depth of knowledge that the McMahons and the WWE had about what happened to them and that sexual abuse in the company started at the top with the McMahons. The filing of Grant v. WWE, et al., No. 24-cv-90 (D. Conn.), the acquisition of the WWE by TKO, and the ouster of Vince McMahon as CEO all have provided new insights, and the possibility of coming forward without incurring the retribution and intimidation of the McMahons. This information, along with recent changes in sex abuse laws, has allowed them to pursue justice in this suit. “The WWE and McMahons had a responsibility to these underaged boys, and they failed them in the worst way possible. We will vigorously fight to uncover the truth about this systemic, insidious, and life-altering abuse,” said Mark DiCello, founding partner of DiCello Levitt. “We commend our clients for their bravery in coming forward and promise to relentlessly seek justice for them.” “These survivors are profiles in courage. One third of child sex abuse victims never come forward, because the shame, humiliation, trauma, and physical and psychological injuries silence them,” said Professor Marci Hamilton, founder and CEO of CHILD USA, a leading nonprofit think tank fighting to preserve and strengthen children’s rights. “Sadly, we know that 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 13 boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18. CHILD USA is fighting child sex abuse and trafficking, and one of the greatest tools in our arsenal is to push for statute of limitations reform so perpetrators and their enabling institutions can be held accountable in cases of delayed disclosure. Due to the Maryland window we fought for, these brave survivors can seek justice.” The case was filed in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, MD by DiCello Levitt’s Greg Gutzler, Mark DiCello, Bobby DiCello, Adam Prom, and Emma Bruder and Murphy, Falcon & Murphy’s William H. “Billy” Murphy, Jr. DYNAMITE PREVIEW- AEW Dynamite is back on TBS tonight with a show from Salt Lake City, Utah for a broadcast headlined by a ladder war for the ROH World title between champion Mark Briscoe and challenger Chris Jericho. Other matches announced for the show are Jack Perry and The Young Bucks vs Daniel Garcia and Private Party in a trios match, Sammy Guevara vs Shelton Benjamin, Queen Aminata vs Camille, and House of Black are in action as well. Plus, AEW World champion Jon Moxley is in the house and AEW is advertising that nobody is in the house with Moxley around. ADAM COLE CONFIRMS SPLIT FROM BRITT BAKER- In an interview on Sports Illustrated, Adam Cole confirmed rumors that he and Britt Baker are no longer a couple. Cole suggested the breakup a few months ago when he said during one of his streams that he was heading back home to Pennsylvania, away from where he and Baker lived and where Baker has her private practice as a dentist in Winter Park, Florida. "We are no longer a couple," Cole told SI. "But when I say that we both still love each other and are still friends and still so supportive of each other, that could not be more true." He said that he wants Baker to be as happy and as successful as possible and he knows the feeling is mutual. "We did decide to go our separate ways, but that doesn’t mean that she will not be an incredibly important part of my life. Britt is absolutely one of my best friends. She’s someone that I love dearly and will always love dearly, and there is no ill will between me and her whatsoever," he continued. The two dated for seven years, getting into a relationship in 2017. BATTLE OF THE BELTS RATING- Battle of the Belts XII had 304,000 viewers on Saturday following the conclusion of Collision. That is down slightly by 4,000 viewers from BotB XI. In 18-49, it held a 0.08 rating, down 0.01 from the last Battle of the Belts episode in July. The 43-year-old worked for TNA for 10 years starting in 2006, first as a wrestler and then as a ring announcer, backstage interviewer, and creative writer. She departed the company in 2016. Before joining TNA, she worked for WWE for two years, winning the inaugural Divas Search contest in 2004. Hemme has not publicly talked about her new position and has not used her social media in well over a year. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Wow. I thought they found their woman for those ring intros and looked like she was enjoying it. She was the best to ever do it and I will certainly miss the emotion and creativity of her introductions. Incredible talent and it's a huge loss for WWE. ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at LILIAN GARCIA RETURNS TO WWE FULL TIME- With Samantha Irvin's shock exit, WWE brought back Lilian Garcia full time as the new Raw ring announcer. Before the show went on the air, Raw commentator Joe Tessitore introduced Garcia back, who was visibly super thrilled to return, as fans gave her a standing ovation. She fist-bumped both Tessitore and Wade Barrett, who also gave her a standing ovation at ringside. Garcia was really nervous on her first night back, making a couple of mistakes along the way as the night went by, something she admitted in her social media message after the show ended. This is Garcia's third full-time stint with the company. She started in late 1999 and spent 10 years as the Raw ring announcer before leaving the company to pursue a singing career. She returned in 2012 for her second stint and lasted until 2016. The 58-year-old has made several appearances on WWE television since then, most recently this past May when Samantha Irvin welcomed back Garcia to Raw in South Carolina and handed her the mic to introduce one match. You can see her return before Raw started at . LILIAN GARCIA "BACK HOME"- Lilian Garcia returned to WWE last night on Raw to fill the void that Samantha Irvin left after her exit, reclaiming her spot as the Raw ring announcer. It's been eight years since Garcia has been full-time with WWE and she was really nervous in her return, something she acknowledged in a post on Instagram after the show. “And my goodness, when my music hit and I got introduced, the cheers and the applause and the roar that you gave me tonight — thank you," she said. "Thank you for that, because I was nervous. I was so nervous. I could even tell when I started announcing that I was nervous, but it is all worth it." She said that coming back to see everyone, her friends, WWE Superstars, and reuniting with crew makes her really excited and while she doesn't know where this will all lead to, she's strapping on her seat belt for the wild ride. Before closing, Garcia had some words for Samantha Irvin, calling her an extraordinary talent and unbelievable. "I know it could not have been easy to walk away from here, but I wish you all the success in your music career," she said. "I know you’re going to kill it. You’re going to kill it." Garcia ended her post saying that she's "back home." MICHAEL BUFFER SAYS HE'S SAD THAT SAMANTHA IRVIN LEFT- Perhaps the greatest and most well-known ring announcer in sports, Michael Buffer, expressed his disappointment after news came out that Samantha Irvin has decided to part ways with WWE. Buffer, who often praises Irvin for her work on his social media, wrote that he and his wife were sorry to hear the news. "Samantha is brilliant & super professional as announcer + her musical talent as a singer & flautist are amazing," Buffer wrote. "All the best to her moving forward w/her career & perhaps we’ll see her in future events including boxing & MMA," he continued. Getting praise from the GOAT of ring announcing is certainly not an easy feat to accomplish, but it shows how respected and awesome Irvin was in her role. MORE NEWS ON WHAT LED TO THE DEPARTURE OF SAMANTHA IRVIN- Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Samantha Irvin left WWE after both sides could not come to an agreement over her planned outside commitments, most notably her desire to pursue a music career. In a post on social media, Irvin corrected someone who posted that she notified WWE about her departure prior to Raw, but Irvin said she gave notice months ago and WWE knew ahead of time that she was departing the company. With her fiancee Ricochet in AEW, rumors obviously quickly popped up about she moving there with him but Ricochet was also quick to turn those rumors down. "Haha, she's not coming to AEW. You can all rest easy," he said in a post on X. While the plan is to focus on her music career, it's not written in stone that she won't go to AEW to be with her man. Meltzer also added that Irvin had been thinking about making the move for a long time and finally decided to go with it, ending her WWE career in the process. TICKETS FOR NXT AT 2300 ARENA SOLD OUT- Tickets for NXT at the 2300 Arena, formerly known as ECW Arena, for November 6 went on sale earlier today. In a heartbeat, all tickets were gone except for a handful of tickets, with the most expensive ones being ringside VIP for $550 each. Prices were $75, $175, $250, and $550. Each VIP ticket sold came with a pre-event meet and greet with WWE Hall of Famer and ECW legend Bubba Ray Dudley, a commemorative chair, and exclusive merchandise. The November 6 episode of NXT will go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite on its regular night as NXT was moved due to the U.S. presidential election the night before. SMACKDOWN RATING- Smackdown this past Friday drew just 1,378,000 viewers, down 274,000 viewers from the prior week, making this the least-watched Smackdown on USA Network so far. The show had a 0.42 rating in 18-49, down 0.07 from the prior week. Smackdown was #3 on cable TV among tougher competition from the MLB Playoffs and college football. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) JEY USO'S IC TITLE REIGN CUT SHORT- Jey Uso's reign as Intercontinental champion lasted only 28 days as he lost the title back to Bron Breakker last night during the main event of Raw. His loss came thanks to the interference of The Bloodline, with Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Jacob Fatu, and Solo Sikoa all having a part in the match. After taking out both Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa with superkicks, Sikoa was furious and told him that they're only there to try and help. Bron Breakker ran around and tried to spear Uso, but he moved and Sikoa ended up taking the spear instead. Uso came close to retaining the title but Breakker kicked out of the splash and then the brothers tried to interfere again, drawing the attention of the referee and several officials. That left Jacob Fatu, who superkicked Jey's head off his shoulders as he ran around to try and spear Breakker at ringside. Fatu then hit a Samoan Drop on the table and bolted, allowing Breakker the opportunity to throw Uso back in the ring and hit his own spear for the pinfall victory. This obviously all ties to Jey slowly moving back with his brother Jimmy and cousin Roman Reigns as they go to war with the rest of their family, a war which will come to a rumored climax at Survivor Series: WarGames. RAMPAGE RATING- Rampage on Friday drew 234,000 viewers, down 19,000 viewers from the previous week. In the 18-49 demo, the show had a 0.06 rating down 0.03 from last week and the lowest of 2024 so far. It ranked #21 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) COLLISION RATING- Collision this past Saturday on TNT drew 346,000 viewers, up 77,000 viewers from the last show two weeks prior. There was no Collision last week. In the 18-49 demo, Collision had a 0.10 rating, up 0.05 from the prior show. "I love you all tremendously and this does not mark the end of my art, I have a lifetime more to share," she wrote in a long post shared on social media. Irvin thanked all WWE fans, the women's locker room, the crew, and WWE Superstars for raising the bar over and over again and for risking their bodies and finding new ways to keep fans shocked and wanting more. "There is no form of entertainment like this and not just any entertainer can be a WWE Superstar," Irvin continued. "The respect I have for you is more than I can express. Thank you for making it so easy to pour emotion and excitement into your introductions. You are the stars that the stars idolize. It doesn't get any bigger and I'm proud to have used my voice to let the world know it." Irvin also specifically thanked Paul Heyman, Michael PS Hayes, Michael Cole, Brian "Road Dogg" James, Scott Armstrong, Gabe Sapolsky, George Carroll Jr, Triple H, and Mark Henry for giving her her big break. "To my fans, my entire career I've been waiting for you! We are meant to be and I can prove it. Stay tuned. All my love! And still..." she concluded. Irvin was hired by WWE in 2021 and was given her big debut the following year on Smackdown. Since then she has called all WWE shows, including calling WrestleMania XL all by herself, earning unlimited praise from her peers. It's unclear what led to her departure from the company, but her boyfriend Ricochet has recently moved to AEW which might or might not have played a role in the decision. NXT TO TAKE PLACE FROM ECW ARENA ON NOVEMBER 6- WWE today officially announced that NXT will take place from the ECW Arena, now known as 2300 Arena, on Wednesday, November 6. Tickets for the show will go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, October 22 at Noon ET at 2300Arena.com. An exclusive pre-sale will start at 10AM ET using the code NXTLIVE. "The city of Philadelphia has a rich wrestling history, and we are excited to bring a night of unforgettable action to such a storied venue," said WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels. The 2300 Arena was made famous by ECW back in its heyday, with many rowdy episodes of ECW television taking place there from 1993 to 2001. Built in 1920, the venue has a max capacity of 1,300 and ECW often exceeded the legal seating capacity of just over 1,000 during its residency. WWE only held one show there when they revived the ECW brand in 2006. Tickets for that show were an instant sellout and featured RVD defending the WWE title against Kurt Angle. NXT will move to Wednesday that week for one night only due to the U.S. presidential election the night before. BO DALLAS SAYS BRAY WYATT CHOSE ALL WYATT SICKS MEMBERS- In an interview to promote the new WWE 2K24 Bray Wyatt Edition, Bo Dallas spoke to USA Today about losing his brother and the Wyatt Sicks, revealing that Bray was the one who personally selected the members of the group. "He wanted to work with them," Dallas said. "He hand-picked them for reasons almost unknown to me. Like he just saw something and felt something in them." The members of the Wyatt Sicks include former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis. The group made their spectacular cinematic debut on the June 17 episode of Raw. "Everything that’s going on up to this date and then going forward, if it’s not Windham’s idea, it has a piece of Windham’s idea in it,” Dallas continued, adding that this is exactly what he's supposed to be doing for his late brother. "I know this is what he wants," Dallas said. "I feel the love from everybody watching this and that is a part of this, because it’s not just me, it’s everybody. Everybody’s in on this for Bray." THE UNDERTAKER SITS DOWN WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP FOR PODCAST- President Donald Trump's episode on The Undertaker's podcast Six Feet Under was published just a few hours ago. The one-hour interview featured an incredible amount of time talking about professional wrestling, including Trump turning the tables and asking Taker several questions about his wrestling career. Trump also got in deep discussion about his WrestleMania 23 involvement with Umaga, Bobby Lashley, and Vince McMahon, telling Taker that he wondered to McMahon why did they have to follow Undertaker vs Batista instead of going before. He mentioned multiple times that WrestleMania 23 holds the record for the most WWE pay-per-view buys, something that Trump looked proud of. The President also discussed his mugshot, how he got involved with professional wrestling, the assassination attempt, and of course, the upcoming election. You can see the full episode at . DONALD TRUMP SAYS THE ROCK CALLED HIM AFTER HE WAS SHOT- Appearing on the Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway podcast, President Donald Trump told The Undertaker that The Rock called him after he got shot even though he thought the most electrifying man in sports and entertainment didn't like him! "I never thought he liked me, and I felt badly because I think he's a terrific guy," Trump said discussing The Rock. "And then Dana White said, when I was shot...shot to the ear, Rock called Dana and said I wanna have his number, I wanna have his number," Trump continued. The WWE Hall of Famer and 45th President of the United States said that what Rock did for him was sort of incredible. "It was very nice actually, The rock, so you might mention that I said that," Trump told The Undertaker. AEW AND NJPW TO INCLUDE CLAUSE FOR WRESTLERS FOR FUTURE JOINT SHOWS- Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting through his Select service that All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling will be including some clause in the future that would prevent wrestlers from appearing in joint shows to immediately jump ship to WWE. The clause comes after Stephanie Vaquer went to WWE after she lost her NJPW Strong Women's title to Mercedes Mone days before at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June of this year. Non-contracted AEW and NJPW stars appear at joint shows such as Forbidden Door and the upcoming Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view in January, so this is mainly for those wrestlers who are appearing on behalf of other promotions, such as CMLL and others. Vaquer was wrapping up her deal with CMLL after Forbidden Door and actually quit the promotion before finalizing her remaining dates. STING SIGNS LICENSING DEAL WITH AEW- During an appearance on Kayfabe Friends podcast, Hall of Famer Sting revealed that he signed a multi-year licensing deal with All Elite Wrestling, keeping him tied to the promotion for the foreseeable future. Sting said that the deal is for merchandise and appearances and does not include any in-ring wrestling. The deal is similar to what WWE calls the Legends deal. The former AEW Tag Team champion retired from in-ring competition earlier this year, winning his final match along with Darby Allin defeating The Young Bucks. He stayed undefeated during his whole AEW run which started in December 2020. He last appeared on AEW television at All In in Wembley Stadium, coming to help Darby Allin. 30% DISCOUNT OFFER FOR THANKSGIVING EVE DYNAMITE- AEW is running a 30% discount on tickets for the Thanksgiving Eve episode of Dynamite which will be held at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday, November 27. Using the code AEWFALL will unlock $25.20 and $39.20 tickets, plus taxes and fees, in most open sections. Seats up until row one and two are also still available, selling just over $200 per ticket. Thanksgiving Eve Dynamite is a tradition in Chicago although ticket sales have been going down every year in what was once AEW's favorite city. RICOCHET MAKES SURPRISE APPEARANCE AT MLP'S EVENT- Ricochet made a surprise appearance during yesterday's Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling's Forged In Excellence second event, coming after AEW International champion Konosuke Takeshita. Takeshita successfully defended his title against TNA's Josh Alexander during the show and following the match, the champion continued his beatdown on Alexander along with his manager Don Callis. Ricochet's music then hit the speakers and he came down the ring and took out Takeshita with two high-flying moves as Callis bolted out. The former NXT champion then held up the AEW International title, making his intentions clear. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Let's see what next week brings! ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at SAMMY GUEVARA CLEARED TO RETURN AFTER CONCUSSION- Sammy Guevara has been cleared to compete after suffering a concussion during the ROH TV tapings earlier this month. A video hyping his return aired on Collision, saying that the only way he can reach his destiny is to beat the best, and one of the best had a great debut last week: Shelton Benjamin. "He's a man I've watched since I was a kid. So I went to Tony Khan personally and asked for this match," Guevara said in the video. "So this Wednesday, for the first time ever live on Dynamite, it's Shelton Benjamin vs Sammy Guevara." The current ROH Tag Team title holder was stretchered out after his taped match against Serpentico when a mistimed spot led to Serpentico landing on Guevara's face, knocking him out. ANNA JAY EARNS AEW WOMEN'S TITLE SHOT- It's very rare that AEW title eliminator matches are won by challengers, but yesterday at Battle of the Belts XII, Anna Jay broke that streak. In her AEW Women's title eliminator match, Jay defeated champion Mariah May clean via pinfall, earning herself a title match which she will cash in on the November 2 episode of Collision live from Philadelphia. This is May's first loss since winning the AEW Women's title from Toni Storm at All In in Wembley Stadium this past August. May vs Jay main evented the 12th installment of the series and likely the last one carrying the name as the show was not picked up again as part of the new media rights television deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. AEW CHANGES WAY ON HOW TO PROMOTE UPCOMING EVENTS AND CARDS- AEW has started to change the way they promote upcoming events and matches since the current way of doing it has not been working very well. For the past several months, AEW has taken to social media only to promote matches at events, and typically announces them just days away from the show, with "long-term booking" seemingly out of the window. Live event attendance has pretty much crumbled from past years and advertising - including local ones - is being blamed for the collapse. But AEW has noticed it has to change their approach and already started announcing matches for shows a few weeks in advance, giving them importance by announcing them on television during shows rather than on social media, where only a smaller percentage of fans will see them. They also went a step further last night during the Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling debut event Forged in Excellence, which had several AEW stars on including Don Callis as commentator. During one of the breaks of the show, commentator Mauro Ranallo gave a quick run down of the matches that are coming to Dynamite next week and the Fright Night Dynamite later this month. "Where the Best Wrestle + support their friends," Khan replied in a post on X showing the video of Ranallo running down the card. WWE RETURNING TO PERTH IN 2025- The West Australian is reporting that WWE is in negotiations again with the local government to bring another WWE event to Perth in 2025. The Cook Government is "remaining tight-lipped" about the show, says the news outlet, but rumors are that a show is being proposed to TKO for the second half of 2025, once again to be held at the Optus Stadium. The Optus Stadium held the Elimination Chamber premium live event in February of this year, an event which had an attendance of 52,590. Perth is particularly expensive to get to even for those living in the massive country as it's the most western city. It's around a five hour flight from Sydney, four hour flight from Melbourne, and nearly a six hour flight from Brisbane, making the location not the most ideal one for Australian fans. SIX FORMER WWE WRITERS COME OUT AGAINST VINCE MCMAHON- More problems are mounting on Vince McMahon as Rolling Stone published a story last night following six former WWE creative writers coming out to accuse him of creating a hostile and sexist work environment. The former writers, who worked for the company at different times between 2016 and 2022, also accused other writers who were in a higher position in engaging in the same tactics in a bid to turn other members against each other, as well as sexual harassment. Two of the writers who came forward are female and after they told HR about the problems in an online meeting, their superiors told them to stop acting like children and not to go to HR if they have future problems. One of the writers was fired afterward. Another former writer, Michael Leonardi, told Rolling Stone that he was fired in 2016 after there was a change in script during the Martin Luther King Jr Day Raw episode where a former WWE Superstar - Neville - did not want to say a line which is associated with MLK and instead it was changed so R-Truth could deliver it. Vince McMahon allegedly did not like the change and tore Leonardi a new one, firing him for not being proper for the role. Legal representatives for Vince McMahon denied all the accusations and in a statement said, "Scores of writers could share tales of what an enjoyable, creative and freewheeling environment the WWE writers rooms were. This handful of (obviously disgruntled) individuals aren’t representative in any way of the consensus — or of the truth."
