Or is it all a swerve? ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at WWE TO CELEBRATE 10 YEARS OF THE NEW DAY- WWE will be celebrating the 10th year anniversary of The New Day live tonight on Monday Night Raw, a team which over the past decade has dominated the WWE tag team division as well as the singles division, at least for two of them in particular. The trio made their debut as The New Day on the November 28, 2014 episode of Smackdown after they were formed a few months earlier in the year. Together, they have a total of 12 tag team title reigns spanning across Raw, Smackdown, and NXT, not to mention singles title runs for Kofi Kingston and Big E as WWE champions and Xavier Woods as King of the Ring in 2021. Unfortunately, the trio was slimmed down to a duo after Big E suffered a broken neck during an episode of Smackdown in March 2022 and things haven't been great between Kofi and Xavier, especially the last several months. Big E has yet to return to the ring although he has been a constant on panels at pre-shows for WWE premium live events. If he appears on tonight's Raw remains to be seen, but it's hard to celebrate The New Day without Big E! Speaking of Big E, the former WWE champion penned a beautiful article for The Players Tribune for this special occasion titled Sour which you can read at . RAW-RELATED VIDEOS ON PEACOCK EXPIRING IN 29 DAYS- All the Monday Night Raw episodes dating back from the first one on January 11, 1993, are set to expire from Peacock in 29 days. At the end of December, everything related to Raw in the United States will cease to exist on the streaming service as Raw moves to Netflix in January 2025. This is due to the new contract WWE has with Netflix and follows what the company did with NXT when it moved from USA Network to The CW. Old episodes of NXT remain locked in the vault as only new episodes are available for viewing on The CW app. Peacock will also no longer have re-runs of new episodes of Raw as those will be available on Netflix with a subscription moving forward. WWE fans in other countries around the world will lose the whole WWE Network and its content at the end of this month as well as the Network shuts down with selected content moving to Netflix. It remains to be seen if Netflix in the U.S. will upload all the old episodes of Raw but it looks like WWE is holding back on their video library for the next highest bidder. WWE will remain on Peacock in the United States until 2026. MOANA 2 WITH THE ROCK SMASHES THANKSGIVING WEEKEND RECORDS- Disney's Moana 2, featuring the voice of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Maui, had a $135.5 million opening in the United States this Thanksgiving weekend. The movie was released on Wednesday on Thanksgiving Eve and had an additional $85.5 million for that day and Thanksgiving, sending its domestic total to $221 million. Internationally, the movie had an additional $165.3 million for a worldwide box office revenue of $386.3 million according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. This beats Moana's original release which had a Thanksgiving weekend opening of $66,561,040. Moana 2 also broke records for the biggest Thanksgiving weekend opening ever. Johnson's other movie, Red One, was #4 on the box office chart and November marked a good month for The Rock, having two #1 movies. NIKKI GARCIA SPEAKS ABOUT DIVORCE- Addressing her divorce publicly for the first time, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia said that she needed time away from everything to protect her son and heal following months-long issues with her now ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev. Garcia was speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, returning to the show for the latest episode after several weeks out. "It’s been really tough. I’ve been heartbroken...sad," Nikki told her sister. "You know, you dream of having this family and you have this incredible love and it just goes the other way. And you go from having a great love story to having a terrible one." Nikki admitted that it has been a big struggle for her as she never imagined she would have that ending although she played up things a lot better than what they were in public, something which she now regrets doing. She said that her son deserves the greatest dad ever and she will not be dragging her ex-husband in the mud because that's not what Matteo needs or deserves. "You fight for your kids, you want to stick together because that’s what the kids want. And I tried really hard," Nikki said. She added that she's been finding it tough without her son now that they have shared custody of him and she's never been at home without him before. "Really, really hard...very emotional. Even yesterday. I cry every time he leaves." You can listen to it at ALL IN: TEXAS PRE-SALE KICKS OFF- The pre-sale for All In: Texas started this morning on Ticketmaster using the code TIX5TX. Judging from the seating chart, not the full stadium is open and @WrestleTix is estimating that around 24,000 seats are currently open. The cheapest tickets are selling for $31, which should be a very affordable price although those tickets are at the very top of the stadium. Ringside platinum seats are $1,356 plus fees while floor seats further back are $355 each. Other ticket prices are $62, $85, $181, and $258. Tickets go on sale to the general public on December 9. All In: Texas takes place on Saturday, July 12 live from the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

This year went by pretty fast! ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at SURVIVOR SERIES: WARGAMES 2024 RESULTS- Here are the results from last night's Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 which took place live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Bayley defeated Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae in the women's WarGames match; Shinsuke Nakamura defeated LA Knight to become the new WWE United States champion; Bron Breakker defeated Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser in a triple threat match to retain the Intercontinental title; Gunther defeated Damian Priest to retain the WWE World Heavyweight title; Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk defeated Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed in the men's WarGames match. TWO INJURIES AT SURVIVOR SERIES- Two injuries were reported from the Survivor Series: WarGames main event as Jimmy Uso and Bronson Reed bought walked out of the show with more damage than the rest of their respective team mates. Jimmy Uso broke his toe following the splash from the top of the cage on a waiting Jacob Fatu. Jimmy was limping and was helped by his brother Jey and Sami Zayn when it was time to walk to the back. Meanwhile, Bronson Reed also suffered a leg injury after his big Tsunami miss through a table. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H said in the post-show press conference that Reed was being looked at by medical. Replays of the splash show that Reed landed awkwardly on his ankle and thankfully, the move was set to take him out of the rest of the WarGames match anyway so there were no other spots for him. SURVIVOR SERIES KEEPS BREAKING RECORDS- Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver was the 63rd sellout of the year for WWE and continues the record-breaking trend that the company has set throughout 2024. The announced attendance was of 17,828 and with high ticket prices, it has broken the all-time arena gate record in North America. WWE will be back in Canada in March for the Elimination Chamber at the Rogers Centre, which was previously known as the SkyDome. This will be the first WWE event in the location since WrestleMania X8 which had The Rock vs Hulk Hogan as one of its main matches. CONTINENTAL CLASSIC CONTINUES- The Continental Classic tournament continued yesterday on Collision with three matches taking place. In the first match of the night, Will Ospreay defeated Juice Robinson in the gold league to earn his first three points. Kyle Fletcher defeated The Beast Mortos in the blue league for his three points and Kazuchika Okada and Daniel Garcia went to a 20-minute time limit draw so they each got one point each in the blue league. Shelton Benjamin and Kyle Fletcher currently lead the blue league with three points each while Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King, and Will Ospreay are in the lead with three points in the gold league. The action continues on Wednesday on Dynamite with Brody King vs Claudio Castagnoli and Shelton Benjamin vs Kyle Fletcher. PENTA EL ZERO MIEDO NOW A FREE AGENT- Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting through his Select service that Penta El Zero Miedo is now a free agent with his AEW contract expired. The popular Mexican star has not wrestled on AEW television since the July 17 episode of Rampage and after that, it became clear that he and his brother Fenix were not interested in renewing their AEW deal. Fenix, on the other hand, is stuck in AEW as the company has extended his contract to make up for his injured time but there are no plans to use him on television until his deal runs out sometime in mid-2025. While an ugly tactic, it's a tactic that has been used by WWE as well and this will keep Fenix away from reuniting with his brother in WWE. The 39-year-old Penta is expected to sign with WWE after five years with AEW. He has never worked for WWE before. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

The Survivor Series post-show will follow immediately after the conclusion of the show and will also stream on Peacock, YouTube, Facebook, and X. REIGNS AND PUNK COME FACE-TO-FACE ON SMACKDOWN- A face-to-face between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, moderated by Paul Heyman, aired last night on Friday Night Smackdown. Shot in a cinematic style similar to the face-to-face between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes a few months ago, Punk arrived late to the meeting, which angered the OTC. Punk made it clear that he was not there for Roman, but for his friend Paul Heyman while Roman made it clear that he doesn't need, or want, Punk. Heyman told both Reigns and Punk that divided, they will fall to the New Bloodline and warned Punk that he would be next on Solo's list. Together, he said, they would survive at best. Both somewhat agreed and said this would be a one-time thing and Punk said that if Reigns wants to revisit this after WarGames, then he's up for it. Punk said that he's owed a favor and Roman asked if he owes him one. "You won't owe me anything," Punk said. "Our wiseman will owe me a favor." After Punk exited the frame, a worried Roman asked Heyman what the favor is. "Let's get through WarGames, then we'll have all the time in the world to talk about it," Heyman responded, obviously hiding something very important from his Tribal Chief. You can see the excellent segment at . BAYLEY JOINS WARGAMES- With Jade Cargill out of action, former WWE Women's champion Bayley has stepped in to replace her in the women's WarGames mach tonight. Bayley has tried to gain Bianca Belair's trust over the past week, even helping her defeat Nia Jax on Raw to have the WarGames early advantage. Bayley stood by her team mates last night on Smackdown in the final promo between the two teams. This will be Bayley's third time in WarGames, having previously battled alongside her Damage CTRL faction. She has never been on the winning side of the match. TURNING POINT RESULTS- Here are the results from last night's TNA Turning Point which took place from the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Rosemary defeated Savannah Evans and Xia Brookside in a three-way match in the pre-show; Mike Santana defeated Frankie Kazarian; Joe Hendry defeated Brian Myers, Eric Young, Hammerstone, John Skyler, and Rhino in a six-way Thanksgiving turkey bowl match; Moose defeated Laredo Kid to retain the TNA X Division title; Steve Maclin defeated Josh Alexander in a no disqualification match; The Hardys and Ace Austin defeated Kushida, Zachary Wentz, and Matt Riddle in a six-man tag team match; Masha Slamovich defeated Jordynne Grace in a two out of three falls match to retain the TNA Knockouts title; Nic Nemeth defeated Eddie Edwards to retain the TNA World title. MATT RIDDLE APPEARS AT TURNING POINT- Bro! Matt Riddle made a surprise appearance at last night's TNA Turning Point, coming in as a replacement for Trey Miguel who was unable to be there due to travel issues. Riddle teamed up with Kushida and Zachary Wentz against The Hardys and Ace Austin in a six-man tag match but unfortunately was on the losing side of the match. This was Riddle's TNA debut and it's not known if the former WWE Superstar is in line to make more TNA appearances in the future. His appearance came as a last-minute deal after it became clear Miguel was not going to make it to the show. Since being fired from WWE, Riddle has mainly toured the independent scene and has also worked for AAA. MICHIN ADVANCES IN WOMEN'S US TITLE TOURNAMENT- Michin earned a spot in the semi final of the Women's United States title tournament after yesterday she defeated Piper Niven and Lash Legend in a triple threat. Legend replaced Jade Cargill, who last week was taken out of action in a backstage segment. Michin will now face the winner of next week's triple threat between Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and Elektra Lopez. Over on the other side of the bracket, Bayley will take on Chelsea Green in the semi final match. The final match will take place on the Saturday Night's Main Event broadcast on December 14. WARGAMES STATISTICS FOR THIS YEAR'S PARTICIPANTS- This year's WarGames participants consist of a few who have been there before, but also some newcomers to the match. This is Iyo Sky's sixth WarGames match and is the only woman who has participated in every single WarGames match from NXT to main roster. It's an impressive feat that not even anyone on the men's roster has accomplished. Unfortunately for Sky, she has only won the match once. Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair are also veterans of this WarGames with this one being their fourth match. Both of them were part of the inaugural NXT WarGames match along with Iyo Sky, but on opposing teams. For Bayley, Candice LeRae, and Raquel Rodriguez, this will be their third time in the steel structure while Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax will make their WarGames debut tonight. LeRae was part of the first women's WarGames match in 2019. Over in the men's match, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso are the ones with the most appearances in WarGames, with two so far so this will be their third time in the match. It's the third year in a row for both of them as well. For Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, this will be their second WarGames match having previously participated in 2022 against The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens. CM Punk, Bronson Reed, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu are all new to this match and it will be their first adventure inside the steel structure. SARAH LOGAN AND ERIK WELCOME BABY BOY- Sarah Logan and Erik of the War Raiders announced the arrival of their newborn, Ezekiel Joseph Rowe. "We have a son. And he’s perfect in every way," Erik wrote in a post on Instagram. Ezekiel was born on November 28, making it a perfect Thanksgiving for the couple. Logan, who at the time was playing the Valhalla character, announced her pregnancy in April. She has not wrestled since the Royal Rumble. The two already have a son, Raymond Cash, who was born in February 2021. CODY RHODES ON THE TONIGHT SHOW- WWE champion Cody Rhodes appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday on NBC to plug the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event set for December 14 on NBC. Rhodes discussed a lot of variety of subjects with Fallon, labeling this current era of WWE as the "Records Era" simply because the company, under the leadership of Nick Khan and Triple H, has been breaking records left and right. Cody also gave props to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who along with Khan and Triple H, make it "easy" for him to be the quarterback of the company. The champ talked about WrestleMania 40 and having his mom in the ring with him when he presented the WWE title to her. He gave a short backstory from when he was eight years old how his father explained how he did not win the WWE title back at MSG and how that was his motivation growing up. Speaking about Saturday Night's Main Event, Cody said "there might be a few surprises here and there" apart from a fantastic card. You can see his eight-minute segment at . VIN DIESEL WANTS THE ROCK BACK IN THE FAST FAMILY- In a post to his 103 million followers on Instagram, Hollywood star Vin Diesel has teased more Fast & Furious movies and wants Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson back in the fold. "I got Universal in one ear saying we need FastX2 by March 2026," Diesel wrote. "I have Comcast in the other ear saying we need two movies to be the Finale!" He added, "Then the writer on Fast Five sent me this image and said we need to see DOM and HOBBS resolve their differences," adding the photo of the two together on the set of one of the Fast movies. "I just want to get back to real street racing, practical stunts… and a reunion of that beautiful brotherhood," Diesel concluded. Johnson exited the Fast & Furious franchise after the eighth installment to start his own Hobbs & Shaw franchise, which only had one movie. The exit was due to a public feud with Diesel but Johnson returned as his Hobbs character in the Fast X post-credits scene to a major surprise to viewers. THREE-HOUR AEW BLOCK ON TNT STARTING AT 4PM ET- AEW will have both episodes of Collision and Rampage today but starting at a much earlier time than usual. Avoiding going head-to-head with the Survivor Series, Collision will start at 4PM ET on TNT, four hours prior their usual time slot. Matches include Mina Shirakawa vs Leila Grey, The Outrunners vs Iron Savages, Private Party and Mistico vs MxM Collection and Jonathan Television, Adam Page vs Wheeler Yuta, Kyle Fletcher vs Beast Mortos from the C2 blue league, Juice Robinson vs Will Ospreay from the C2 gold league, and Kazuchika Okada vs Daniel Garcia from the C2 gold league. Meanwhile, Rampage kicks off at 6PM ET and will go head on with Survivor Series. Taped for tonight are Thunder Rosa vs Harleygram, Top Flight and Action Andretti vs Katsuyori Shibata, Mascara Dorado, Atlantis Jr in a trios match, Hechicero vs Komander, and The Beast Mortos vs Serpentico. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Last year, the winners from the blue and gold leagues took on each other to determine the Continental Classic winner, however, this year there is an extra step added. Now, the gold league winner will take on the runner up from the blue league while the blue league winner will take on the runner up from the gold league in a semi final match. The eventual winners of those two semi final matches will then meet each other with the winner taking possession of the AEW Continental title. These three matches will all take place on the same night at the Worlds End pay-per-view in December. CONTINENTAL CLASSIC TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF- The second Continental Classic tournament kicked off last night on the Thanksgiving eve episode of Dynamite live from Chicago, with three matches taking place. Shelton Benjamin of the Hurt Syndicate defeated former ROH champion Mark Briscoe in the blue league, gaining three points. Claudio Castagnoli defeated Ricochet in the gold league to get himself three points and in the second gold league match of the night, Brody King defeated Darby Allin for another three points. Three matches will take place this weekend on Collision with Kazuchika Okada vs Daniel Garcia and Kyle Fletcher vs The Beast Mortos in the blue league plus Will Ospreay vs Juice Robinson in the gold league. DYNAMITE DOZEN BATTLE ROYAL RETURNING NEXT WEEK- The Dynamite Dozen battle royal returns on next week's episode of Dynamite with the winner advancing to a match at Winter Is Coming the following week. The 12 AEW stars in this battle royal will fight for a chance to take on MJF for the Dynamite Diamond ring, a ring which so far has stayed with MJF since its introduction. After winning the Dynamite Diamond ring in November 2019, MJF has successfully defended it every year. Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly are the first two entrants to officially enter this battle royal. SURVIVOR SERIES INCHING CLOSER TO 17,000 SELL-OUT- It's going to be big business for WWE this weekend at Survivor Series with the show inching closer to a complete legit sellout. With no stage setup, the Rogers Arena in Vancouver has 17,288 seats available and @WrestleTix is reporting that WWE has so far distributed 16,410 tickets as of today, with under 1,000 tickets left for a complete sell out. The cheapest tickets available are CA $193.50. Ringside seats have also dropped drastically in price and are available from CA $998.65 in second row or CA $750.80 for third row. The last time WWE came to Vancouver at the Rogers Arena was for Smackdown on January 5, 2024 where 13,157 fans turned up for the show. RAW RATING- WWE Raw this week drew an average of 1,509,000 viewers, down 7,000 viewers from last week's broadcast. The show faced a simulcast of NFL on ABC and ESPN which drew nearly 17 million viewers. The first hour of Raw started with just 1,478,000 viewers and then increased to 1,541,000 viewers in the second hour. Raw was #3 on the top 50 cable chart among the 18-49 demographic with a 0.47 average rating, down 0.02 from the prior week and #5 overall on all of television. The news was originally broken by Sports Illustrated. The brothers are currently the TNA Tag Team champions, having won the titles in October at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. Matt returned to TNA in April at the Rebellion show and his brother Jeff joined him in June during the Against All Odds show. Both were previously working for AEW. "They've taken great care of us. They have put myself and Jeff in positions to succeed, which we're very grateful for," Matt told SI. "We love the crew there, from the boys and the girls in the locker room to the management. Everyone and everything is really clicking right now. It feels like the unity is strong. The brand is growing again. I see a lot of upward mobility for TNA over the course of the next year. Jeff and I will be part of that for the next year." The full SI story can be read at . TNA TO REVEAL CITY FOR 2025 GROUNDBREAKING EVENT- TNA has announced that it will reveal the destination of their "groundbreaking" live event in 2025 on Wednesday, December 4...after fans cast their vote on their desired location one more time. Based on fan feedback since February 2024, the top two locations that fans want a major live TNA show are New York City and Los Angeles. Now, TNA is once again leaving it up to the fans to decide which city they want their big event in. The destination will be announced on all TNA Wrestling social media platforms and the TNA website at 2:22pm ET on Wednesday, December 4. To vote, go to . AEW PULLS RICKY STARKS FROM FUTURE GCW APPEARANCES- AEW has decided to pull Ricky Starks from all future appearances with Game Changer Wrestling following his approved surprise appearance this past weekend at their Dream On event in New Jersey. This seems to be in retaliation for comments that a GCW wrestler, Effy, made about Tony Khan's father on his podcast. GCW owner Brett Lauderdale admitted that he was blindsided by AEW pulling Starks and only found out when everyone else did. "I don’t really have a line of communication with AEW. I’ve never talked to Tony Khan on the phone or via text in my entire life," Lauderdale said. "They don’t talk to me. I’m not trying to say that necessarily in a negative context but, I guess, we’ve never really had to talk." Lauderdale added that AEW did not give him an explanation or asked any questions and he doesn't know if this will go beyond Ricky Starks. AEW'S PICKS FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S CUP- AEW has revealed the four female stars who will be battling for a spot in the International Women's Cup at Wrestle Dynasty in January. Jamie Hayter will take on Queen Aminata tonight on Dynamite in the first qualifier and then Serena Deeb takes on Willow Nightingale on Collision on December 7. The two winners then face each other for the spot at the Winter Is Coming Dynamite on December 12. The International Women's Cup will have a four-way match featuring stars from Stardom, AEW, ROH, and CMLL and will take place on Sunday, January 5 live from the Tokyo Dome as part of the Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view. AEW MOVES GRAND SLAM TO 13,000-SEATER ARENA- There will be nothing grand about the upcoming AEW Grand Slam: Australia show as AEW has moved it from the 50,000-seater Suncorp Stadium to the 13,000-seater Brisbane Entertainment Centre amid very low ticket sales. An e-mail from Ticketek to all ticket holders said, "The promoter of AEW Grand Slam Australia, wishes to advise you that the venue for Grand Slam Australia on Saturday 15th February 2025, has been changed to Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Ticket holders do not need to take any action, your new event tickets will be sent to your Ticketek App in the next 2 weeks. Your Stadium tickets will not be valid for the new venue." AEW President Tony Khan boasted last week that the company has sold "thousands" of tickets for Grand Slam when there were already rumors of a venue change and Ticketek restricting purchasing of new tickets for the show. Tickets for the new location are not available for sale yet but will be online soon. The Brisbane Entertainment Centre last held a wrestling show for WWE in October 2019, a non-televised live event headlined by Roman Reigns vs Erick Rowan in a street fight. This was a bit of karma biting back as on May 27, 2022, Tony Khan tweeted that it was one of his favorite days because he had dinner with Dana White where he informed him that MITB was moved from the proposed Allegiant Stadium to MGM Grand due to low sales on the same day of a UFC event at the T-Mobile Arena. TWO MORE QUALIFY FOR IRON SURVIVOR CHALLENGE- The Iron Survivor Challenge matches for Deadline have now four of the five spots filled after two more qualified last night on NXT. Former NXT champion Ethan Page defeated Axiom to advance to the men's match while Giulia defeated former NXT Women's North American champion Kelani Jordan to advance to the women's match. With one spot in each match remaining, the final contestants will be decided on next week's show where the losers of each qualifying match will battle in fatal four-way matches. The men's match will feature Cedric Alexander, Lexis King, Eddy Thorpe, and Axiom while the women's match will have Cora Jade, Jaida Parker, Wren Sinclair, and Kelani Jordan. The winner of the men's match joins Wes Lee, Je'Von Evans, Nathan Frazer, and Ethan Page in the Iron Survivor Challenge and the winner of the women's match joins Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer, Zaria, and Giulia. ERIC BISCHOFF AND X-PAC ON NXT NEXT WEEK- Former WCW President and WWE official Eric Bischoff and former nWo/DX member Sean "X-Pac" Waltman will be appearing on NXT next week. Bischoff made his presence felt via video when he appeared during a segment between NXT champion Trick Williams and number one contender Ridge Holland. With things getting hot between the two, Bischoff said that he will be coming to the WWE Performance Center next week to host a face-to-face between the two ahead of their match at Deadline. Meanwhile, later in the show, X-Pac kinda invited himself to the broadcast when he mentioned Shawn Michaels in a post on X writing, "Next week's NXT show looks too good to miss. I'm coming to Orlando to watch it live!" So far it's unknown what X-Pac will be there for. SURVIVOR SERIES STORE OPENS TOMORROW- The official Survivor Series: WarGames Store opens in Vancouver tomorrow morning. Located at BC Place (Gate C), the shop features the largest collection of Survivor Series merchandise under one roof with exclusive merchandise including replica championship titles, Superstar apparel, signed memorabilia, collectibles, mini-titles and so much more. It opens Thursday at 10AM until 7PM and continues on Friday from 10AM to 9PM and then Saturday from 9AM to 8PM. Chelsea Green will be meeting fans at the store between 2PM and 3PM tomorrow for free photo ops. A wristband is required for the photo and are on limited supply, so get there early. MOANA 2 OUT IN THEATERS TODAY- Just weeks after his Red One movie opened around the world, Dwayne Johnson is back on the big screen today, or better yet, behind the microphone, with the release of Disney's Moana 2. The movie also features the voices of Auli?i Cravalho, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger, Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda, Rose Matafeo, David Fane, Hualālai Chung, Rachel House, Awhimai Fraser, Gerald Ramsey, and Alan Tudyk. The synopsis of the movie reads, "Three years after the events of the first film, Moana receives an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors and forms her own crew, reuniting with her friend, the demigod Maui. As they journey to the far seas of Oceania to break the god Nalo's curse on the hidden island of Motufetu, which once connected the people of the ocean, they confront old and new foes, including the Kakamora and underworld goddess Matangi." Moana 2 is expected to do much better than Red One, with projections hovering in the $110 million range for the Thanksgiving weekend. If it hits that number, it would be the biggest opening for a film released during that period. The original Moana pulled in $643 million in worldwide box office and had a budget of $150 million. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

The show had a 0.46 rating in 18-49, up 0.14 from the prior week and was #1 not only on cable but in all of television, beating NBA on ESPN and college football on FOX. It was the best number since October 11. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) TWO MATCHES ADDED TO SURVIVOR SERIES- Two new matches were added to this weekend's Survivor Series card, with the show now up to the usual five matches. The Intercontinental title will be on the line in a triple threat match as champion Bron Breakker will defend against Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser. Plus, LA Knight will defend the United States title against the recently-returned Shinsuke Nakamura. These two matches join the two WarGames and Gunther vs Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight title. WOMEN'S INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE UNVEILED- As expected, another mid-card title has been introduced for the Raw women, with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce unveiling the WWE Women's Intercontinental title which will be exclusive to the red brand. This follows the introduction of the Women's United States title over at Smackdown two weeks ago. The Women's Intercontinental title features the same design as the men's title but with a white strap instead. A tournament will kick off to crown the inaugural champion, similar to what is being done on Smackdown. The final for the Smackdown Women's United States title will be held on Saturday Night's Main Event. No date has been given as to when the final for the Women's Intercontinental title will be held yet. JADE CARGILL OUT FOR MONTHS WITH INJURY- Jade Cargill is expected to be out of action for several months which is why she was written off television in that fashion last week on Smackdown. Cargill was taken out and left lying on the hood of a car with its windshield broken. Footage aired during the triple threat match in the tournament for the Women's United States title and it caused Bianca Belair to abandon the match to go check on her tag team partner. The real reason why Cargill is out remains a tight-lipped secret although it was noted that Cargill has an injury which is serious enough to get her written off. In a social media post, WWE said that Cargill is suffering from "deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions, bruised kidney, sprained MCL in her right knee, tibial plateau bone bruise of her right knee, and facial lacerations." Cargill is one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team champions with Bianca Belair. No news on what's going to happen to the titles has been announced yet although this continues the curse of the se particular titles where almost every champions had to surrender due to an injury. MAX BLACK FRIDAY DEAL AHEAD OF AEW DEBUT- After Peacock dropped its Black Friday deal yesterday where you can get a year-long subscription for just $19.99 and enjoy all the WWE shows, Warner Bros. Discovery's Max is also having its own Black Friday deal. AEW will debut on Max in January where Dynamite and Collision will simulcast on the streaming service and AEW pay-per-views will come to the service later in the year. New and returning subscribers can now get Max for just $2.99 per month for the first six months, that's a savings of $7 per month since the cheapest subscription is $9.99 a month. The subscription will get you access to everything that Max has apart from AEW shows. The limited deal is available starting now through Monday, December 2. You can go to to subscribe. YOUNG BUCKS TO GO FOR IWGP TAG TEAM TITLES- The Young Bucks' involvement at the upcoming Wrestle Dynasty show in Tokyo became more clear after the former AEW Tag Team champions had a promo aired during the NJPW World Tag League show. In the promo, which aired in the arena as well, The Young Bucks said that before they retire, they want to accomplish one more thing, and that's getting the IWGP Tag Team titles back around their waist one more time. "Tokyo, your rich God-fearing uncles are coming back," Matt Jackson said. "See you soon!" The current IWGP Tag Team champions, Great-O-Khan and HENARE, accepted The Bucks' challenge for the January 5 show. The duo have not wrestled in Japan since 2019. Wrestle Dynasty is NJPW's version of The Forbidden Door and will also involve AEW, CMLL, ROH, and Stardom. AEW GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA MOVING TO DIFFERENT LOCATION- Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting that AEW is likely to make an announcement very soon moving the Grand Slam: Australia show from the Suncorp Stadium to a different location. Ticket sales for the show have been bad and with the stadium holding over 50,000 seats, it was not going to be a good look to hold it there. This comes after AEW President Tony Khan mentioned during the press call ahead of Full Gear that the company sold "thousands" of tickets for Grand Slam in Brisbane but said that it might not be a pay-per-view offering due to the time difference. The Ticketek website selling Grand Slam: Australia tickets only had limited seats available after most sections were blocked off lately, preventing fans from buying seats. It's unclear if the event will still take place in Brisbane or it's even moving cities. RAMPAGE RATING- Rampage on TNT drew 249,000 viewers last Friday, up 63,000 viewers from the prior week and the best number since October 11. The show had a 0.09 rating in 18-49, up 0.03 from the previous show and was #10 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. The company is bringing back Saturday Night's Main Event as part of their new media rights deal with NBCUniversal, with the first show taking place on Saturday, December 14 live from Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. This will be WWE's first show on network TV since Smackdown has moved away from FOX in September and the first WWE broadcast on NBC since 2008. It's the 37th installment of the SNME series. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.com. PEACOCK BLACK FRIDAY DEAL- Peacock is running a Black Friday deal where you can save 75% if you subscribe for a whole year with a price of just $19.99. There's also an option to get six months for $1.99 per month. The regular price is $79.99 per year or $7.99 per month so it's a pretty good saving if you're interested in watching WWE programming, including all premium live events, for cheap throughout 2025. This is a limited time offer and excludes current Peacock Premium and Premium Plus subscribers. Of course, there's always workarounds for this, including subscribing with a different e-mail address. To get the offer, use the code REALDEAL for the annual offer or REALDEALMONTHLY for the monthly offer. You can take advantage of the Peacock Black Friday deal any time between now and December 2 at 3AM ET (Midnight PT). BEHIND THE SCENES FOOTAGE OF CM PUNK'S RETURN- On the one year anniversary of his return to WWE, a behind the scenes look at CM Punk's shocking appearance at last year's Survivor Series was published on the WWE's YouTube channel. The video starts with Punk getting escorted to Gorilla by Bruce Prichard as he meets William Regal, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Michael PS Hayes, and a select few others who were at the closed-off area before his music hit. After he comes out, footage shows Triple H sneaking behind the curtain, waiting for Punk to come back to congratulate him on his return. Punk then meets several other WWE Superstars backstage who were all eager to see him and waited to shake hands one by one of every star who was in the WarGames match, from the faces to the heels. Randy Orton jokingly tells Punk that he couldn't enjoy 10 minutes of his return before he was out-shined by Punk. Triple H then pulls Punk aside to tell him to pose for a photo together, a photo which Triple H put on X with the caption, "Mighty cold day i n hell." You can check out the cool 9-minute video at WWE MOVES OVER 44,000 TICKETS FOR ROYAL RUMBLE- WrestleTix is estimating that WWE has moved over 44,000 tickets for the Royal Rumble already just over a week after tickets went on sale to the general public. The first count stands at 44,500, with Lucas Oil Field stadium being set up for around 6,000 more seats. While the absolute majority of the seats in the stands were sold, the same cannot be said for those on the floor, where the most expensive tickets are. The floor sections remain largely empty and judging from previous stadium shows, they are the last ones to get sold simply because they are the ones which cost the most. Floor seats, so far away from the ring that you wouldn't be able to see anything, start from $400 while ringside will cost you up to $6,000 behind the commentary desks. The cheapest standard ticket is currently set at $275, while the cheapest verified resale ticket is $151. That is of course excluding taxes and fees. Some sections on the camera side of the stadium have been opened but Lucas Oil Field holds over 70,000 seats, so there will be a good chunk of the stadium closed off unless tickets really take off. Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster.com. PHOTO OPS FOR FANS AT SURVIVOR SERIES WEEKEND- WWE will be holding several photo ops on November 29 and 30 at BC Place as part of Survivor Series weekend. On Friday, Bianca Belair, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Dominik Mysterio, Gunther, Iyo Sky, Sami Zayn, and Sheamus will be available while on Saturday so far there are Bianca Belair, Bronson Reed, Dominik Mysterio, Gunther, Iyo Sky, and Sami Zayn. Prices range from CA$79.87 to CA$107.42. A printed copy of the photo will cost an additional CA$10.85 each. Times vary for their appearances and you can find more information and ordering information at . NXT STARS AT BLOODSPORT- Three NXT stars took part in Josh Barnett's Bloodsport XII event last night, joining other AEW and TNA stars on the same card. Karmen Petrovic defeated Sumie Sakai, Charlie Dempsey defeated Tracey Williams, while Myles Borne lost to Royce Isaacs. Other WWE stars have been on Bloodsport before as well, including former NXT Women's champion Shayna Baszler. Barnett seems to be the only person who can bring stars from all three major promotions under one roof, with TNA's Josh Alexander, Masha Slamovich, and AEW's MVP, Marina Shafir, and Jon Moxley all appearing as well. JON MOXLEY MAKES SURPRISE APPEARANCE AT BLOODSPORT- AEW World champion Jon Moxley made a surprise appearance at the Josh Barnett Bloodsport XII event last night. Moxley accompanied his Death Riders partner Marina Shafir for her match against Jody Threat, a match which Shafir won and extended her undefeated run to seven wins so far. This is not Moxley's first time appearing at Bloodsport and has actually main evented three events in the past. Fellow AEW star, MVP, was also in the main event, losing to Barnett via submission. After their match, MVP put over Barnett and thanked him for training with him throughout the past decade. CONTINENTAL CLASSIC PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCED- The 12 entrants in this year's Continental Classic tournament were revealed yesterday night by AEW. Just like last year, the 12 stars will be split into two leagues, the blue and gold leagues, with each match having a 20-minute time limit. No interference is allowed and three points are assigned for a win and one point for a draw. The blue league will consist of AEW Continental champion Kazuchika Okada, TNT champion Daniel Garcia, Kyle Fletcher, The Beast Mortos, Mark Briscoe, and Shelton Benjamin. The gold league has Will Ospreay, Juice Robinson, Brody King, Ricochet, Darby Allin, and AEW Trios champion Claudio Castagnoli. The tournament kicks off this coming Wednesday on Dynamite and will conclude at the Worlds End pay-per-view. THE ROCK'S RED ONE MOVIE SLIPS TO #3- Dwayne Johnson's Red One Christmas movie slipped to the third place in the box office charts this weekend following the release of Wicked and Gladiator II. Red One had a $13 million weekend, sending its domestic total to $52,910,550. Internationally, the movie has $64,200,000 in box office revenue for a total of $117,110,550 worldwide. That falls massively short of the $250 million budget the movie had plus an additional $100 million in marketing. The cast also features Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and J.K. Simmons in the leading roles and it's directed by Jake Kasdan. The Rock is back with a second movie in theaters this week with the release of Moana 2, a movie which is expected to do better in box office revenue. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

ZERO HOUR: Anna Jay defeated Deonna Purrazzo; Buddy Matthews defeated Dante Martin, Komander, and The Beast Mortos in a four-way match; "Big Boom!" AJ defeated QT Marshall. Private Party defeated The Outrunners, Kings of the Black Throne, and The Acclaimed in a four-way tag team match to retain the AEW Tag Team titles; MJF defeated Roderick Strong; Mercedes Mone defeated Kris Statlander to retain the AEW TBS title; Jay White defeated "Hangman" Adam Page; Kyle Fletcher defeated Will Ospreay; Daniel Garcia defeated Jack Perry to become the new AEW TNT champion; Konosuke Takeshita defeated Ricochet to retain the AEW International title; Bobby Lashley defeated Swerve Strickland; Jon Moxley defeated Orange Cassidy to retain the AEW World title. COSTCO GUYS BRING THE BOOM TO AEW- The Costco Guys arrived in AEW and they received some of the loudest pops of the night! Big Boom AJ, Big Justice, and The Rizzler were clear favorites at Full Gear last night, with AJ getting the win over QT Marshall during the Zero Hour broadcast. Apart from getting huge ovations from the crowd, the action came to a climax when 12-year-old Big Justice hit a perfectly-timed spear on QT Marshall, who sold it like he just got speared by Goldberg. The fans had lost it by that point and Big Boom AJ, a former indie wrestler himself, hit the Boom power bomb as the crowd chanted along with the pinfall. Eight-year-old Rizzler was the special guest time keeper and also got a huge ovation when he was introduced. He celebrated with the father and son duo after the match. WILLOW NIGHTINGALE RETURNS- Willow Nightingale returned at Full Gear last night, her first appearance in over a month after she suffered a concussion during a CMLL match. Nightingale showed up in the main event to take out Marina Shafir amid several interference which was the main story of the AEW World title match. Eventually Shafir managed to get rid of Nightingale and left the crime scene in a stolen car after Darby Allin crashed their car in a collision with his own vehicle. Nightingale suffered the concussion during the Women’s International Grand Prix match at Arena Mexico, with CMLL later announcing that she was being pulled from two other shows due to the AEW/CMLL concussion protocol procedures. FOUR ROH WOMEN TO BATTLE FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S CUP SPOT- The four women from Ring of Honor who will be wrestling to earn a spot at the International Women's Cup at Wrestle Dynasty were revealed yesterday during the Full Gear Zero Hour broadcast. ROH Women's champion Athena, ROH Women's TV champion Red Velvet, Leyla Hirsch, and Billie Starkz will face each other in a four-way match at a later date and then the winner advances to Tokyo. CMLL, Stardom, and AEW will also have their own four-way matches, with CMLL earlier in the week announcing that Zeuxis, Reyna Isis, Persephone, and Sanely will be their picks. Each winner of these four-way matches will have a final four-way match at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5 with the winner receiving a title shot of her choosing from any of the four participating promotions. RICKY STARKS MAKES UNANNOUNCED APPEARANCE AT GCW EVENT- Ricky Starks appeared in front of a stunned crowd at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey last night for a show promoted by Game Changer Wrestling. The AEW man interrupted an in-ring promo by Jimmy Lloyd, with Lloyd wondering if Starks should be in catering at the Prudential Center for Full Gear instead of here. After Starks laid out Lloyd, he said that passion runs through his blood and he'll be damned if he sits at home and gets frozen out. "I’ll be damned if I sit at home and let my career dwindle. I am 34 years old. I’m healthy. I am goddamn good looking, and most importantly, I am a generational superstar," Starks told the audience. Starks, who remains under AEW contract, has not appeared for the company since March, with his promo being full of digs at his current employer. "I’m going to come back to where I came from in the very beginning," Starks continued. "And why not start in one of the hottest promotions right now, GCW?" Starks will make an appearance for House of Glory in January of next year. LUDWIG KAISER MAKES SURPRISE APPEARACE AT WXW IN GERMANY- Ludwig Kaiser returned to his home country of Germany and made a surprise appearance at the wXw event in Hamburg. "Hamburg's own son has returned," screamed the commentator as Ludwig Kaiser's name appeared on the big screen with fans going absolutely bananas. Kaiser interrupted the wXw Unified champion Peter Tihanyi after his match, with fans chanting "Holy shit." This is not the first time that Kaiser has appeared for wXw since joining WWE. The WWE star is a former wXw Unified champion himself in the promotion he wrestled for five years before joining WWE. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

The pay-per-view kicks off an hour later and it airs on Triller TV, YouTube, and PPV.COM while International fans can get the show through Triller. KENNY OMEGA TO WRESTLE AT WRESTLE DYNASTY- New Japan Pro-Wrestling officially announced that Kenny Omega will be wrestling at the Wrestle Dynasty show on January 5 at the Tokyo Dome. The former AEW and IWGP Heavyweight champion will be taking on Gabe Kidd on the show after Omega issued a challenge and Kidd accepted. This will be Omega's first match since December 2023 as this year he had to battle a severe case of diverticulitis which sent him to the sidelines, ultimately requiring surgery to repair the problem. Omega has not appeared on AEW television since May where he was taken out by The Elite. Wrestle Dynasty is an NJPW-produced show which will also feature AEW, ROH, CMLL, and Stardom. It's the Japanese version of AEW's Forbidden Door. PAUL HEYMAN RETURNS, BRINGS CM PUNK TO WARGAMES- Just when things looked bleak and the original Bloodline were going to take on the new Bloodline in a 4 vs 5 encounter at WarGames, Wiseman Paul Heyman made a surprise return on Smackdown and called in a favor, a huge favor: CM Punk. Heyman came out to the top of stage to a stunned Reigns but an excited audience, and said that he was put through a table so his math might be off a little bit, but this four vs five thing won't happen and now that he's here, it will be five vs five. Heyman pointed to the back and Cult of Personality hit the speakers and the fans went absolutely batshit crazy. Punk walked out taping his fist and as soon as he hit the ring he went straight after Bronson Reed. The rest of the Bloodline attacked each other and the faces cleared the ring. Reigns and Punk were left solo and then they were attacked again but they both hit a combo of a spear and GTS in perfect sync as fans chanted "This is awesome." The two then had a face-to-face as a proud Heyman stood in the background with a grin on his face. Reigns asked Punk what is he doing here but Punk said that he was there for him, pointing at Heyman. Punk is a "Paul Heyman Guy" and Heyman managed Punk years ago in WWE during his long stint as WWE champion. You can see the segment at . CHELSEA GREEN ADVANCES IN US WOMEN'S TITLE TOURNAMENT- The second Superstar moving forward in the WWE Women's United States title tournament is Chelsea Green. Green was victorious in the triple threat match on Smackdown last night against Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport. During the match, a video showing Jade Cargill taken out on a car's windshield was enough to distract Bianca Belair and get her out of the match to go attend to her tag team partner. Green will now face Bayley in the next round. Cargill was supposed to wrestle in her qualifying match next week against Michin and Piper Niven but will now be replaced by another opponent. The other match remaining in the first round is Naomi vs Tiffany Stratton vs Elektra Lopez. GIGI DOLIN RETURNS- Gigi Dolin returned to action at an NXT non-televised live event yesterday, her first time in the ring since March. Dolin suffered a torn ACL eight months ago and has been out of action ever since. In her first match back, Dolin defeated Cora Jade at the Lakeland, Florida live event. The former Toxic Attraction member was feuding with Arianna Grace before she got injured. JADE CARGILL OUT OF WARGAMES- Jade Cargill will not be participating in the women's WarGames match next week after she was taken out by a mysterious assailant(s) on Smackdown last night. Cargill was shown lying on the hood of a car with a broken windshield during the Belair vs Davenport vs Green triple threat match in the women's United States title tournament, forcing Bianca to abandon the match to go check on her tag team partner. The former AEW TBS champion was also supposed to be part of this tournament in a match versus Piper Niven and Michin set for next week, but will not do the match either. Cargill's replacements - both for the title tournament and the WarGames match - will be revealed on next week's episode of Smackdown which was taped last night following the conclusion of the live broadcast. The taping was done to give everyone time off with their families for Thanksgiving. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Of course, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, one of the lead voices in the movie, was in attendance along with his wife, children, oldest daughter NXT General Manager Ava, and mother Ata Johnson. Also joining the Johnsons in Hawaii were the Undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes, his wife Brandi, and daughter Liberty, along with Seth Rollins, his wife Becky Lynch, and daughter Roux. Rhodes carried the WWE title with him to the premiere as well. The Moana 2 movie will be released in the United States on November 27 and is expected to have one of the biggest Thanksgiving weekend openings ever. You can see some of the photos from the premiere at WWE NETWORK SHUTTING DOWN WORLDWIDE ON JANUARY 1- WWE sent an e-mail to all WWE Network subscribers around the world announcing that the service would be shut down on January 1, 2025. The e-mail states that after January 1, Netflix will become the exclusive home of WWE in the area and the streaming service will bring WWE's content all to one place, including weekly shows, Monday Night RAW, SmackDown and NXT, plus premium live events, many of WWE's top moments, along with historic PLEs and select programming. "If you are already a Netflix subscriber, you're all set. If you are not a Netflix subscriber, you will need to subscribe so you don't miss a moment. We can't wait for you to experience WWE on Netflix this January," the e-mail concludes. Not everything which is on the WWE Network is being ported to Netflix and many shows will be making their way back to the vaults, perhaps to be used at a later time. WWE Network launched in February 2014 in the United States and then later around the world featuring most of the WWE video library for just $9.99 a month including all the pay-per-views at the time. The service never reached enough subscribers to make money and the most subscribers it had was just over 2 million around WrestleMania time. WWE stopped the Network in the United States when Peacock took over in a five-year deal worth $1 billion in 2021. The service remained in most parts of the world where WWE did not bundle their Network with TV agreements. RING BOYS LAWSUIT BACK IN THE SPOTLIGHT WITH MCMAHON'S NOMINATION- Linda McMahon's proposed nomination for Secretary of Education has brought unwanted attention to the recent Ring Boys lawsuit, with CNN covering the story on its front page today. McMahon is named as one of the defendants in the lawsuit along with Vince McMahon and WWE. Linda worked with the company when the allegations happened from the mid-80s. Linda's attorney, Laura Brevetti, called all the allegations against her client false. "This civil lawsuit based upon thirty-plus year-old allegations is filled with scurrilous lies, exaggerations and misrepresentations regarding Linda McMahon," Brevetti told CNN. "Ms. McMahon will vigorously defend against this baseless lawsuit and without doubt ultimately succeed." Brevetti also repeated the fact that Linda and Vince McMahon are separated, no longer together, and have been "apart for some time." Vince McMahon's attorney Jessica Rosenberg and WWE did not respond to CNN's request for comments at time of publication. The Ring Boys story was originally reported by the New York Post in early 1992 and it was about ring announcer Mel Phillips hiring underage ring boys to help set up and take down the ring, traveling across state lines and staying in hotel rooms with the boys. WWE fired Phillips in 1988 and he eventually passed away in 2012. The company were sued by three different ring boys in the past, one of whom, Tom Cole, committed suicide in 2021 at the age of 50. RAW NETFLIX PREMIERE TICKETS ON SALE- Tickets for the WWE Raw debut on Netflix on Monday, January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California go on sale to the general public today. The pre-sale, which kicked off two days ago, had some pretty expensive prices, with the cheapest tickets at $228.95 for the last row in the bleachers. Ringside seats designated as platinum tickets are a whopping $4,807 each. Most of the tickets are priced in the $300-$400 range. It's unclear how much tickets were moved during the pre-sale although the seating chart remains relatively full of available seats, and with those prices, it's not surprising. For more information, go to Ticketmaster.com. Tickets will be released at 10AM PT. If you want to get the pre-sale, use codes NETFLIX or UNIVERSE to unlock tickets. KYLIE RAE GETS WWE ID DEAL- Perhaps the most familiar name to get a WWE ID deal was revealed yesterday and it's none other than Kylie Rae. Rae was presented with the surprise contract at an event by Freelance Wrestling after a match she had just participated in. An emotional Rae cried in the middle of the ring as she got a standing ovation from the crowd and a "you deserve it" chant. "I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life. But sometimes life gives us another chance. Thank you @WWEID, feeling blessed," she wrote on X later. Rae, who was with AEW when the company launched in 2019, departed the company under questionable circumstances after she requested her release. Rae has openly described battling with mental health but recently returned to the indies. Gabe Sapolsky, who's acting as one of the talent scouts for this WWE ID program, wrote on X that Rae is currently the best worker on the indies. She becomes the 17th person under the WWE ID program. You can see the video of her WWE ID contract presentation at . NETFLIX STARTS WWE ONLINE MARKETING- The big Netflix marketing machine has started promoting WWE on its social media channels, with the company dropping their first video teaser this morning. "You can't fake this," the video shows, as it transitions from fans and podcasters reacting to spots to WWE Superstars doing their thing in the ring. Those featured are Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, John Cena, The Rock, Tiffany Stratton, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley, Trick Williams, Drew McIntyre, Solo Sikoa, Jey Uso, and others. The video has the song Pure Water by Mustard and Migos as its soundtrack. International Netflix accounts also hyped WWE's arrival with a similar, yet slightly different video and description, as International fans will get more than just Raw. "Weekly episodes of RAW, SmackDown and NXT. All Premium Live Events such as WrestleMania and Royal Rumble. Select programming and historic PLEs from the archive. Everything in one place, all on your existing plan," says the description of the video. Netflix announced a 10-year deal with WWE in January of this year with the company getting $5 billion over the course of the decade. Netflix has the option to opt out after five years. CM PUNK JOINS CAST OF REVIVAL TV SERIES- Variety is reporting that WWE Superstar CM Punk has joined the cast of Revival, a SyFy horror series which is currently being filmed in New Brunswick, Canada. This will be Punk's first TV series role since his stint on the Heels drama, which was canceled after the second season by STARZ. Revival is based on the Image Comics series by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton and will also feature Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, Andy McQueen, and Steven Ogg as part of the cast. No details on what character Punk will play have been revealed. DOUBLE WWE TV TAPINGS SET FOR HOLIDAYS- WWE will be giving its Superstars and crew some much-deserved off time during the holidays, with a few TV shows scheduled to be taped in advance. Tonight's Smackdown will also have a taping for next week's show which will air on November 29 to allow everyone to spend Thanksgiving with their respective families rather than on the road. The December 13 Smackdown will also have the December 20 episode filmed immediately after due to Christmas holidays while the December 16 episode of Raw will feature the December 23 episode tapings following its conclusion for the same reason. The new management has prioritized family time since taking over and changes to TV schedules allows everyone to spend quality time with their respective loved ones before embarking on the yearly holiday tour which starts on December 26. DYNAMITE RATING- The Full Gear go-home episode of Dynamite drew 640,000 viewers, down 26,000 viewers from the prior week. The show had a 0.20 rating in 18-49, down 0.02 and was #4 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) TONY KHAN SAID THEY SOLD "THOUSANDS" OF TICKETS FOR GRAND SLAM- The upcoming Grand Slam: Australia show has kinda taken a back seat and certainly you don't hear AEW boasting about it too much online, unlike previous stadium shows. AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the show yesterday during his Full Gear media call with wrestling reporters where he said that the company already sold "thousands" of tickets for the show, but failed short in giving any real update. The Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane holds over 50,000 fans but judging from the seating chart online, the "thousands" of tickets sold as said by Khan could be in the low thousands and the event could very well be in trouble since it's set for February. Khan did say that due to the time difference between Brisbane and the United States, it would be hard to sell this on pay-per-view and hinted that the show could be just a Max special. The usual outlets who do ticket number estimates have also failed to compile a preliminary count on ticket sales, furthermore suggesting that the show is struggling in sales. Tickets are available from Ticketek. TNA HOLIDAY TOY & FOOD DRIVE ANNOUNCED- TNA announced that in conjunction with the final TNA Wrestling shows of 2024, they will hold the annual Holiday Toy & Food Drive, set for December 13-14 at the Final Resolution live event on Friday night and the Impact TV taping on Saturday night, both held at Center Stage. All fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy as TNA partners with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, which distributes toys to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity created in 1991. In addition, TNA is partnering with Zaban Paradies Center in Atlanta that works to empower couples, families and individuals facing homelessness to reach self-sufficiency. Fans are asked to donate non-perishable food items and/or toiletries, such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors and more. "If it’s not, the business gets set back another 20 f*ckin’ years. I’m not willing to go through that again," Moxley explained. "Others who I’ve known for 15-20 years are not willing to go through that again. It’s at the hands of our generation." Moxley said that the future of the company is up to them and admitted that in five years, "nothing has been built." "We’re going to build it right now. There has been no flag. AEW has not really nailed down its identity being a young company, and that’s fine," he continued. "There has been a known flag for everyone to unify to say this is who we are what we do and the direction we’re going. We’re going to plant our flag. That’s starting with me and the few people watching my back and others. We’re going to demand more of everybody around us. We’re going to unify behind one flag and march forward and turn this into what it can be." Mox added that AEW could be the best place he's ever worked but it could be 10 times better for everyone, switching to his character saying for that to happen, he needs to keep the AEW World title and not let it slip through someone else's hands. RICOCHET GETS AEW INTERNATIONAL TITLE SHOT AT FULL GEAR- The AEW International title will be up for grabs at the Full Gear pay-per-view this weekend as champion Konosuke Takeshita will defend his gold against Ricochet. While Takeshita has already defended the title twice, this will be the first time that he defends it in AEW. He has been champion since WrestleDream last month, defeating then-champion Will Ospreay and Ricochet in a three-way match. Ricochet has not lost a singles match since his AEW arrival. This match is the 11th on the card, with a few more still probably being added to the Zero Hour card for the usual dozen-plus AEW PPV cards. THE RIZZLER JOINING COSTO GUYS AT FULL GEAR- The Costco Guys will be coming in full force at Full Gear as it was revealed last night that The Rizzler will be joining Big Boom AJ and Big Justice during the Zero Hour match. AJ has a match against QT Marshall on Saturday and originally, his son Big Justice was going to be in his corner. But last night in a backstage segment on Dynamite, the duo also made the announcement that their sidekick, The Rizzler, will also be on hand for the match. The social media stars got involved several weeks ago with AJ, who is a former independent wrestler himself, saying originally he wanted to catch the eye of WWE but ultimately, it was AEW who came knocking. He signed a one-match deal with AEW but recently stated that he would be open to do more if the opportunity presents itself. LINDA MCMAHON ISSUES STATEMENT ON NOMINATION- After the official announcement from President-elect Trump to nominate Linda McMahon the new Secretary of Education, McMahon issued a statement thanking her boss. "Thank you Mr. President for your trust in me to serve as Secretary of Education and I am hopeful of Senate confirmation. I am deeply honored and humbled for this opportunity and I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure every student has access to a quality education," McMahon wrote in the statement published on X. "I’ve witnessed the transformative power of education, both in the classroom and also in apprenticeship programs. All students should be equipped with the necessary skills to prepare them for a successful future," she continued. "I look forward to working collaboratively with students - educators - parents and communities to strengthen our educational system; ensuring every child regardless of their demographics is prepared for a bright future." This is the second cabinet position for McMahon after she served as the Administrator of the SBA in Trump's first term. Her nomination has already raised many eyebrows, with the largest union of teachers calling on the Senate to block her nomination as she is not qualified for the job. NXT RATING- NXT this week drew 672,000 viewers, up 41,000 viewers from the prior week. The show had a 0.19 rating in 18-49, which was up as well by 0.03 from the previous episode. This was their best number in a month. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) NIKKI GARCIA AND ARTEM CHIGVINTSEV SETTLE DIVORCE- TMZ is reporting that Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev have now settled their divorce terms via mediation but no settlement terms were disclosed. As part of the settlement, both have also agreed to drop their restraining order against each other and will be sharing custody of their son. Things got ugly between the two a couple of months ago after the former Dancing with the Stars pro was arrested for domestic violence but the Napa County DA did not ultimately press charges because they only do so if they can support cases with evidence. The duo met on the ABC reality show and got married in August 2022. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

AEW TO MAKE MAX DEBUT WITH FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN DYNAMITE- AEW will make their official debut on Max on Wednesday, January 1 with the Fight For The Fallen themed episode of Dynamite. The New Year's Day episode will air live on TBS and will also stream on Max as part of the new media rights agreement which AEW signed with Warner Bros. Discovery last month. Those who have no cable subscription but have a Max subscription will be able to watch AEW shows live from January 2025. Fight For The Fallen Dynamite will be held from the Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina, with AEW making a donation that will benefit the victims of Hurricane Helene. Tickets go on sale on December 3. CHRISTMAS AEW SHOWS TO BE HELD AT HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM- AEW will be running three straight nights at the famous Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City during Christmas week. The first stop is on Friday, December 20 for Ring of Honor's Final Battle pay-per-view, bringing ROH back to the Hammerstein for the first time in five years. On Saturday, December 21, it will be a live episode of Collision and then on Sunday, December 22, there will be a taping of Dynamite which will air on Christmas Day. These two episodes will carry the Christmas Collision and Dynamite on 34th Street themes which AEW trademarked a couple of days ago. Tickets for all three Hammerstein Ballroom events go on sale Monday, November 25 at 10AM ET on Ticketmaster.com. REVOLUTION GOES TO CRYPTO.COM ARENA IN LOS ANGELES- AEW is gambling big and has booked the massive Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California to host their Revolution 2025 pay-per-view on March 9. The announcement came yesterday along with several new dates which were published taking AEW television up until March. This will be the first time that AEW will hold a show in downtown Los Angeles and with talks of the company moving to smaller venues next year, this arena is one of the largest and holds 20,000 fans. While AEW pay-per-views do have a higher turnout, attendance at such shows has also decreased. This week's Full Gear has just over 7,500 tickets distributed at the Prudential Center in Newark, a location which also holds over 18,000. COLLISION RATING- Collision last Saturday on TNT drew 356,000 viewers, up 24,000 from last week's broadcast and their best number since September 28. The show had a 0.11 rating in 18-49, up 0.01 from last week and was #11 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S CUP LAUNCHED FOR WRESTLE DYNASTY- New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced the International Women's Cup for Wrestle Dynasty, a tournament featuring the best of Stardom, AEW, ROH, and CMLL competing against each other with the final to be held at the Tokyo Dome on January 5, 2025. Each of the four promotions will have their own qualifying four-way matches over the next several weeks, with the winner of each match advancing to represent their own promotion at Wrestle Dynasty. The winner of the final four-way match on the pay-per-view will then receive a championship opportunity in any of the four participating promotions of their choosing. RIDGE HOLLAND GETS NXT TITLE SHOT, ENDS CHASE U- Ridge Holland earned an NXT title match at the upcoming Deadline premium live event after he defeated Andre Chase in the main event of NXT last night on CW. Chase lost more than just the title opportunity though as part of the stipulation was that if he were to lose, then Chase U would come to an end. The ending of the show saw Holland smiling with Chase, Thea Hail, Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne all laid out, with Chase almost breaking down. Most fans at ringside, all wearing Chase U merchandise, stood in silence after the pinfall count, knowing that Chase U was now no longer. "And I guess that’s the TEACHABLE MOMENT," Chase wrote on X later, tagging all members of Chase U. "You guys never needed me. I was the one who always needed y’all. Thank you for everything. I wouldn’t be here without you." Holland will now face champion Trick Williams at Deadline next month. THREE MORE ADDED TO IRON SURVIVOR CHALLENGE- Three NXT stars advanced to the Iron Survivor Challenge last night on NXT after three separate qualifying matches were held. Nathan Frazier was the first one to qualify on the night, defeating Eddy Thorpe to advance to Deadline. He now joins Wes Lee and Je'Von Evans, with two more spots available. Meanwhile, Stephanie Vaquer defeated Jaida Parker after Lola Vice offered some distraction and Zaria powered through Wren Sinclair in the second women's qualifier to advance. They join Sol Ruca who qualified last week and just like the men's match, two more spots are available. RAW RATING- The taped Raw episode this week drew 1,516,000 viewers on USA Network, down 48,000 viewers from last week's show as it faced a simulcast of NFL on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN 2. The first hour started with 1,502,000 viewers and then increased to 1,530,000 viewers in the second hour. The NFL game between the Texans and the Cowboys drew a combined audience of 16.8 million viewers. Raw was #3 on the top 50 cable chart for the night with a 0.49 rating, up 0.05 from the prior week and beat everything else which was not NFL related. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) LINDA MCMAHON SEPARATES FROM VINCE MCMAHON- A Washington Post story has covered Linda McMahon's appointment as Secretary of Education by President-elect Donald Trump, with the first public confirmation that Linda has separated from former WWE and TKO Chairman Vince McMahon. The story covers several negative reactions of her appointment, citing lack of experience in the education sector and the National Education Association, which is the largest teachers union in the United States, has asked for the Senate to reject the confirmation. “By selecting Linda McMahon, Donald Trump is showing that he could not care less about our students’ futures,” said NEA President Becky Pringle. The Washington Post also mentions the recent lawsuit filed by five anonymous plaintiffs who are known as "Ring Boys" against Vince, Linda, and WWE. Laura Brevetti, Linda McMahon’s attorney, said the McMahons are separated and called the lawsuit "baseless." While the two have not lived together for years, no one publicly came out to actually say that they are separated and this was the first on the record comment that confirms one of the world's worst kept secrets. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

They have nothing to do with the Bloodline and it kinda ruined it for me. Maybe I'll be proven wrong... ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at LINDA MCMAHON TO BE NOMINATED SECRETARY OF EDUCATION- Linda McMahon has got the nod to be the Secretary of Education according to CNN after she was passed on to be Secretary of Commerce by President-elect Donald Trump. Trump nominated McMahon's transition co-chair Howard Lutnick, the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, to lead the Commerce department. McMahon's reward comes after years of hard work for the Trump campaign and millions of dollars in donations. She was the Administrator of the Small Business Administration during his first term as president and in 2019 she took over the chair of America First Action, a Trump super PAC which raised millions of dollars for his campaign. The former WWE CEO and President donated over $7 million to Trump's latest campaign. AEW FILES FOR TWO CHRISTMAS-RELATED TRADEMARKS- AEW filed two new trademarks Christmas-related with the United States Patent and Trademark Office pertaining their two shows Dynamite and Collision. The terms Dynamite on 34th Street and Christmas Collision were both filed yesterday under goods and services for a wrestling show. With Christmas falling on a Wednesday this year, it's still not announced if Dynamite will air that day and if it does, it will be a taped episode and obviously, the Dynamite on 34th Street theme would be a perfect fit for the occasion. The last date so far visible on the AEW website is the December 18 Dynamite from Washington, DC. AEW TO RUN SMALLER BUILDINGS IN 2025- Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline is reporting that AEW will be running much smaller buildings next year and will be avoiding huge NBA arenas where they usually have less than 3,000 people in buildings that hold over 15,000. Alvarez says the delay in doing this is because of a production issue, where some of their set, namely the lighting rig that they use above the ring, was way too heavy for smaller buildings. The company is in the process of modifying their set and rig so they could fit the smaller buildings and 2025 will see a shift in their arena bookings. Apart from saving money from booking large NBA arenas, running smaller venues will look better for television and definitely sound better too than having a couple of thousands in a much larger venue. AEW attendance has been on the decline for a year and judging from the ticket advances of upcoming shows, the trend does not seem to be changing, at least for now. RAMPAGE RATING- Rampage also felt the wrath of Tyson vs Paul on Netflix as the show drew just 186,000 viewers, down 51,000 viewers from the prior week and the second-lowest number in the history of the show. Rampage had a 0.06 rating in 18-49, down 0.01 from the previous week and was #16 on the cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) REY MYSTERIO'S FATHER PASSES AWAY- WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio announced in a post on social media that his father, Roberto, passed away on Sunday. Mysterio wrote a touching tribute to his dad, who said that he did more than set the example of how to love and maintain a strong marriage and father four boys. "Excellent husband, loving father, beautiful grandfather, incredible son & brother, and amazing father in law. You checked every list on the box and can honestly say my majority trates I picked up from you," Mysterio continued. "You fought until the very last minute and know that your biggest fear was leaving Moms behind, but I can assure you that she will not be alone and we will always look out for her." He said that while he is now with God smiling from the heavens, they will continue their work with the real struggle of life until they meet again. "You will never be forgotten and will always be loved, RIP Pops," Mysterio concluded. WOMEN'S WARGAMES MATCH ANNOUNCED- The women's WarGames match was finally officially announced last night on Raw which featured the return of The Eradicator, Rhea Ripley. The five on five match will see the team of WWE Women's World champion Rhea Ripley, WWE Women's champion Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez, and Candice LeRae teaming up to take on the WWE Women's Tag Team champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley. Ripley returned on Raw after a few weeks out due to a broken orbital bone and was sporting a clear face mask to prevent further injury. A match set for next week will see Bianca Belair take on Nia Jax to see who will have the WarGames advantage for their team. SMACKDOWN RATING- Smackdown drew its lowest number since moving to USA Network last week, with only 1,234,000 viewers tuning in, down 302,000 viewers from the prior week and the lowest number in a year since the show had moved to FS1 from FOX. The show had an equally-low 0.32 rating in 18-49, down a whopping 0.15 from last week. All of TV was down and Smackdown actually was still #2 on all of television behind NBA on ESPN. The show went against part of the Tyson vs Paul Netflix special. The announcement, which was expected, was made today and tickets will go on sale this coming Friday at 10AM PT at Ticketmaster.com. The $2 billion, 18,000 seater arena was inaugurated in August of this year and it is the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA. It sits next to SoFi Stadium, where WWE held WrestleMania 39 last year. The Raw Netflix premiere is scheduled to be a star-studded event and will be the first WWE broadcast to air almost worldwide on the streaming platform. LYNCH HINTS AT WWE RETURN- Appearing at her Vulture Festival panel yesterday, former multi-time champion Becky Lynch pretty much confirmed that she will be returning to WWE soon. Rumors last week suggested that Lynch was on her way back to WWE and was expected to return to television around the Netflix premiere. "If you think I'm gonna go out with Dominik Mysterio slamming a door in my face, that's not gonna happen," Lynch said, referring to her last match which she lost in a cage to Liv Morgan back in May. Lynch has been without a WWE contract since then and welcomed the crowd with, "The Man has come around to Hollywood...it's been a while since I've said that!" The Man looked much slimmer than the last time we saw her on WWE television. You can see some photos at . WWE ANNOUNCES SOME MORE DETAILS ON NETFLIX DEAL- In a press release issued today, WWE announced some additional details to their blockbuster Netflix deal. The press release states that Raw, Smackdown, NXT, and all of the WWE premium live events will be seen on Netflix in "most international markets around the world," although in the United States, only Raw will be aired on Netflix. "Many of WWE's top RAW moments will be available to watch on Netflix, plus select programming and historic PLEs also available outside the United States, from January 1, 2025," it continued. This confirms that not the whole WWE Network content will be moving to Netflix internationally, with many shows going back in the archives. The WWE Network will cease to exist in the current form wherever it still is available around the world. In the United States, Peacock continues to hold the rights for the WWE Network and premium live events until 2026. The press release also states that there will be surprise guests for the Raw premiere on January 6 and Travis Scott's new music will be used as the Raw theme song. TRAVIS SCOTT COMING TO RAW NETFLIX PREMIERE- WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H showed up at the Travis Scott concert yesterday at Complexion in Las Vegas and presented him with a custom-made hardcore WWE title. "Yeah, I take this! I take this, I take this," Scott said as fans cheered. The hardcore title was a nod to the name of the record label he founded titled Cactus Jack Records. Triple H then invited Scott to bring the title on January 6, at the Intuit Dome as WWE goes "live to the world on Netflix." You can see the video at . RED ONE MOVIE WITH DWAYNE JOHNSON DEBUTS AT #1- Dwayne Johnson's new movie Red One made its debut this past weekend and had a box office of $34 million which was at the top of the projections from industry insiders. The movie ranked #1 for the weekend. The movie was out at 4,032 theaters across the United States. Internationally, the movie is out in several countries and so far has an additional $50 million in overseas box office receipts, sending the total to $84,073,448 according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. The Christmas-themed flick also features Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and J.K. Simmons in leading roles along with the WWE Superstar. The Rock has another movie coming out in 10 days which is Disney's Moana 2. NEW FEMALE REFEREE STARTS WITH NXT- New WWE hire Victoria D'Errico has started her journey as a referee part of the NXT brand. The former boxer had a tryout with WWE during WrestleMania week in Philadelphia earlier this year and is now working the non-televised live events for the developmental brand. She started her training at the WWE Performance Center in September and was given her first assignment this month. She becomes the third female WWE referee along with Daphne Lashaun and Jessica Carr, both of who started in NXT and who are now both on the main roster. JOSH ALEXANDER STOPS INDIE BOOKINGS- Former TNA champion Josh Alexander said in a post on social media that he will no longer be performing at independent wrestling promotions regardless of "of what may or may not be" in his future. "I’ve loved my time in the independents these past 20yrs. I’ve done amazing things, worked with amazing people and got to travel the world performing in front of amazing fans," he wrote. "That being said I’m tired of the hustle. It’s time for the next crop to step up and fill whatever void I may leave behind in the Canadian scene." Alexander wrote that he drove cars to the ground, was barely able to afford to eat or pay his bills but he followed his heart so he could get to a show and wrestle and there's nothing he would trade that for. "I’ve met and made lifelong friends. Found my wife along the way and built a life and family to support me for whatever lies ahead," he continued. Alexander thanked all the promotions that booked him and the fellow wrestlers who he shared the ring with along the way, adding that his last indie date will be on January 11 for Wrestle Prestige. The Canadian is under a TNA deal until February of next year. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

Have a good one! ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at TRIPLE H MEETS PRESIDENT-ELECT TRUMP AT UFC 309- WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque shared a hug and a handshake with President-elect Donald Trump last night at Madison Square Garden while both were in attendance for UFC 309. The WWE Hall of Famer and #47 walked out in MSG to the American Badass song, all known too well for WWE fans, with UFC President Dana White by his side. Trump shook hands with the UFC commentary team, including big supporter Joe Rogan, and at one point while he was doing his usual dance, Triple H walked in the frame and first greeted White and then embraced Trump, after he finished his dance, of course, as all three had a talk. Levesque and Trump are obviously not strangers to each other, with Trump sharing a long history with WWE and also being the boss of his mother in law, Linda McMahon. WWE Superstars Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were also at the event at MSG and so was Stephanie McMahon. Both Triple H and McMahon were shown on camera and acknowledged during the PPV. The whole encounter was captured by Matthew Connell which he uploaded on X and can be seen at STROWMAN RETURNS- Braun Strowman returned to the ring during a dark match taped at Smackdown after a month and a half out of action. Strowman was the surprise third man in an impormptu six-man tag match which originally had Finn Balor and JD McDonagh vs Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio. Carlito kept interfering, which prompted Strowman to come out to even the odds and the match turned into a six-man match. The monster among men suffered a torn groin during his last monster standing match against Bronson Reed on the September 30 episode of Raw. He later revealed that he felt the tear two minutes after the match started but powered through the rest of the match, which he won. ACCLAIMED MOVE ON TO FULL GEAR- The Acclaimed earned the final spot in the AEW Tag Team title four-way match at Full Gear after yesterday they defeated Rush and The Beast Mortos on Collision in the final qualifying match. The former Tag Team and Trios champions now face title holders Private Party, The Outrunners, and Malakai Black and Brody King next Saturday on the pay-per-view. This match will be Private Party's first title defense since winning the titles from The Young Bucks a couple of weeks ago. MARIAH MAY TO HAVE CHAMPAGNE CELEBRATION AT FULL GEAR- The AEW Women's title will not be defended at Full Gear and instead, a "champagne celebration" will be held with champion Mariah May. Joining May will be her long-time friend and former tag team partner Mina Shirakawa, and with vignettes for the returning Toni Storm airing, it's a very good possibility that Storm will show her face next Saturday during the celebration. Storm has been off AEW television since All In in late August where she lost her AEW Women's title to Mariah May. WINTER IS COMING EPISODE SET FOR DECEMBER 11- The annual Winter Is Coming episode of Dynamite has been assigned to the December 11 episode which is being held in Kansas City, Missouri at the T-Mobile Center. The frosty-looking poster features AEW Women's champion Mariah May front and center, flanked by AEW World champion Jon Moxley and Darby Allin. The other four individuals featured are Kris Statlander, Bobby Lashley, Orange Cassidy, and TBS champion Mercedes Mone. This is the fifth time that Winter Is Coming is being used as a theme, with the first memorable episode having the arrival of Sting and Kenny Omega winning the AEW World title from Jon Moxley. Tickets for this show are available through AXS.COM and they start at just $34 plus taxes and fees. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

He looks good physically, but once that bell rang, oh man. ======================================================== //->> NEWS FROM THE WRESTLING-ONLINE NEWSWIRE Web version at NEW POTENTIAL RAW LOGO SHOWN DURING TYSON/PAUL FIGHT- During the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul boxing fight last night, an ad for Raw aired, showing what looks to be the new logo that will be used for the show once it moves over to the streaming giant. The new logo has two lines above and below the word Raw, with the top line connecting to the W while the bottom one connects to the R, making it look more like BAW than RAW. The bottom part is also arched up rather than straight. It's unknown if this is the final version of the logo that they're going with but it's the one that was part of the ad. Also, Mauro Ranallo, who was calling the show, plugged WWE, saying that in 2016, he was at the AT&T Stadium doing commentary as part of WrestleMania. "It's great to hear from so many of my former colleagues at WWE glad they're enjoying boxing on Netflix," Ranallo said as a lower third graphic showed Raw's premiere date. You can see it at . MIKE TYSON CHALLENGES LOGAN PAUL- WWE's Logan Paul got himself into a boxing match against Mike Tyson after Tyson called the former WWE United States champion out after he lost his eight-round match to Jake Paul via a unanimous decision. The 58-year-old WWE Hall of Famer showed his age in the ring and was outboxed by the much younger Paul in front of a jam packed AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, with former WWE announcer Mauro Ranallo on commentary. During the post-fight in-ring interviews with Ariel Helwani, Tyson refused to hang up his gloves once and for all, and when Helwani asked who's next, Tyson said, "Maybe his brother." Logan, who accompanied Jake to the ring and was also standing next to his brother during the interview, quickly said, "Oh f*ck, I'll kill you Mike!" Tyson accepted and said, "It's on then." The fight, which aired live around the world on Netflix, had its own issues, with Netflix seemingly unable to handle all the traffic with users from all around the world reporting issues such as buffering, disconnections, and app problems. Netflix' next big test comes on Christmas Day when it airs two NFL games and then just a few days later, starts WWE Raw. You can see the post-match interviews at . TOURNAMENT BRACKET FOR WOMEN'S UNITED STATES TITLE- The tournament to crown the inaugural Women's WWE United States champion kicked off on Smackdown last night. Four, triple threat matches will determine the four semi finalists before the winners meet in the finals at next month's Saturday Night's Main Event NBC special. The first match saw Bayley defeat Candice LeRae and B-Fab to advance. On the same side of the bracket there is Bianca Belair vs Chelsea Green vs Blair Davenport, with the winner of that match advancing to take on Bayley. The right side of the bracket has Jade Cargill vs Michin vs Piper Niven and the other one has Naomi vs Tiffany Stratton vs Elektra Lopez. The winners of those two matches meet each other in the semi final. Saturday Night's Main Event will take place on December 14 from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. NEW-LOOK SHINSUKE NAKAMURA RETURNS- A new-look Shinsuke Nakamura returned to Friday Night Smackdown last night and took out the WWE United States champion LA Knight, who had just successfully defended his title against Berto. Nakamura came out in a black outfit, covered in a dark brown trench coat and red paint on his face and waited for Knight to stop celebrating before knocking him out with an elbow followed by a Kinsasha. The former NXT champion has not been seen on WWE television since April of this year but worked several non-televised live events along the way, including the recent Japan and European tours. The Japanese star has already been advertised for the January 1 Pro Wrestling NOAH show in Japan. You can see his return at . BRONSON REED JOINS WARGAMES- The new Bloodline found their fifth man for Survivor Series: WarGames and his name is Bronson Reed. Reed inserted himself into the feud when he showed up and took Roman Reigns during the Bloodline segment on Smackdown. The ending came when Fatu hit a moonsault on Reigns and Reed hit a Tsunami, leaving Reigns, and the rest of the OG Bloodline down. Earlier this week, Seth Rollins was being recruited to join the new Bloodline but Rollins told Solo Sikoa that he would never team up with Roman Reigns...or a Roman Reigns wannabe. But with Reed now part of the team, the OG Bloodline is favorite to land the former WWE World Heavyweight champion as their fifth man. The Lucas Oil Field stadium holds around 70,000 fans and only half the stadium will be open, with additional sections to open depending on sales. WWE is advertising this as John Cena's last time in the Royal Rumble match. Cena will be spending most of 2025 with WWE for his farewell tour which will end in December. Tickets for the Rumble are available via Ticketmaster.com. BECKY LYNCH EXPECTED BACK IN WWE SOON- Multiple sources are reporting that Becky Lynch will be returning soon to WWE television and rumors are that she will be back in time for the company's big debut on Netflix in January. The popular multi-time champion left WWE in May, with her contract expiring a few days later and remains a free agent as she opted not to sign a new WWE deal to take a long break from the business. "The Man" will be making her first public appearance since then at the Vulture Festival in Los Angeles tomorrow to host a panel under her WWE name discussing her biography book. Her last match came on May 27 where she lost a cage match for the WWE Women's World title against Liv Morgan. WWE UNVEILS LATEST WWE PC CLASS- WWE today unveiled the latest WWE Performance Center class, featuring a total of 13 athletes, but including just two wrestlers. One wrestler in the class is Lance Anoa'i, the son of Samu and another potential member of The Bloodline. He has wrestled before for Major League Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH. The other wrestler is Zaria, who recently made her debut in NXT. Also signed is Elijah Holyfield, the son of boxing legend Evander Holyfield who is a former NFL player. Joining these three are Trill Williams, Camden Gagnon, Kyle Klink, Chase Kline, Tatyanna Dumas, Hayley Montoya, Sirena Linton, Karyn Best, Bayley Humphrey, and Darci Khan. TOURNAMENT FOR WOMEN'S U.S. TITLE ON SMACKDOWN- A tournament to crown the inaugural WWE Women's United States champion will kick off on Smackdown live tonight on USA Network. The announcement was made via a social media post by Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis. The newest title was unveiled last week on by Aldis, giving the women on the blue brand a secondary, mid-card title to fight over. Raw is also expected to have another title introduced for the women in the coming weeks. DYNAMITE RATING- Dynamite this week drew 666,000 viewers, up 143,000 viewers from last week's broadcast which aired head-to-head with NXT. This was the most-watched Dynamite since October 2. The show had a 0.22 rating in 18-49, up 0.06 from the previous week and their best one since September 25. Dynamite was #5 on the top 50 cable chart for the night. (Ratings credit: Programming Insider) MIKE BAILEY DEPARTS TNA, EXPECTED TO JOIN AEW- Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting through his Select service that "Speedball" Mike Bailey has departed TNA Wrestling and is expected to show up in AEW soon. Bailey lost his X Division title to Moose last week on Impact, an episode which was taped in Detroit. That was his last date under contract and TNA removed his profile from their website following the airing. The 34-year-old is a multi-time X Division champion in TNA Wrestling and has worked for the promotion since 2021. DWAYNE JOHNSON'S RED ONE MOVIE OUT NATIONWIDE TODAY- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's newest movie, Red One, opens in theaters nationwide today. The movie, with a budget of a whopping $250 million, is directed by Jake Kasdan and also features Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and J. K. Simmons in the leading roles. The story revolves around Santa Claus, who has the code name of Red One, being kidnapped and the North Pole's Head of Security, played by Johnson, must team up with the world's most infamous bounty hunter, played by Evans, in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas. The movie was released internationally earlier this month and has a $28 million box office so far. Projections suggest that the movie will only do $30-$35 million this weekend when it opens in 4,032 theaters, which would be a big flop considering that budget. Moviegoers and critics have not been kind to Red One, with websites giving it 36% score and an average 4.3 out of 10. ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |

The tournament was a big hit last year, even in terms of viewership, and ultimately had Eddie Kingston win the inaugural Continental Crown, a short-lived triple crown involving the AEW Continental title, the ROH World title, and the NJPW Strong title. The titles have since been split up again following Kingston's individual losses for each title. This year's Continental Classic is expected to follow last year's format, with a total of 12 stars split in two groups. Each wrestler will wrestle five times and will get three points for a pin and one for a draw. The winners of each group will then face each other to win the tournament. FOUR AEW STARS TO WRESTLE AT CMLL SHOW- Four AEW stars will be participating on the December 13 CMLL show at Arena Mexico. The Mexican promotion announced that Toni Storm, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Red Velvet will all be in action in a month's time as the two promotions continue their partnership. AEW SECURES RIGHTS FOR NOVEMBER RAIN SONG- AEW President Tony Khan announced that the company has secured a license to use the popular Guns N' Roses song November Rain leading up to the Full Gear pay-per-view on AEW programming after a few weeks ago Khan dubbed this month November to Remember. "Expect AEW November Rain by this weekend + again next Wednesday before the ppv! See you on TBS for Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TOMORROW," Khan said. November to Remember was a pay-per-view name used by ECW back in the mid 90s and the same song was used many times - illegally - by the promotion to hype up the event. The match was not confirmed for Survivor Series and there were rumors it might be saved for Saturday Night's Main Event, but last night on Raw, Gunther and Priest had a face-off in the ring and the match was officially announced on the card. Gunther defeated Priest to win the title at SummerSlam after Finn Balor turned on his former Judgment Day stablemate. DAKOTA KAI RETURNS- Dakota Kai returned on Raw last night to reunite with Damage CTRL following an absence of three months. Kai joined Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane in a six-woman tag team match against Pure Fusion Collective, and they defeated Stark, Baszler, and Deville in their first match back together. "I let it be known that I wasn’t going to re-sign because the new management in place, anytime...I don’t care where you work, when new management comes in, it’s good for some people and not for other people," MVP said. MVP was openly critical of Triple H in the past, and with Triple H now running things in the company, MVP said it was definitely time to leave. "The new management just wasn’t for me and I ain’t for him," he said laughing. MVP is now in AEW along with Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley, reuniting as The Hurt Syndicate. The Young Bucks will also be in action for the first time in Japan since starting with AEW although their opponents have not been named yet. Ricochet and AEW International champion Konosuke Takeshita are also on the card. The show takes place on January 5 live from the Tokyo Dome the night after Wrestle Kingdom 19. LINDA MCMAHON RUMORED FOR SECRETARY OF COMMERCE POSITION- Rumors coming out from President-elect Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago camp suggest that former WWE President and Chief Executive Officer Linda McMahon will be given a spot in the cabinet as the Secretary of Commerce. McMahon currently co-leads the transition team and is one of Trump's most trusted advisers apart from being a long-time friend. This would be her second time forming part of Trump's cabinet as she served as the Administrator of the SBA last time around. This position as Secretary of Commerce is a big upgrade over her last position. Linda donated over $10 million to Trump's 2024 election campaign and was on stage with him to celebrate in the early hours of the morning after results showed that Trump will be elected president. DWAYNE JOHNSON NAMED GQ'S 2024 ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was named Entertainer of the Year in GQ's 2024 Men of the Year issue. To celebrate it, Johnson participated in the GQ Video Cover Story, a feature that delivers all the access and depth of a classic GQ print profile, but does it via long-form digital video. The 30-minute video features reporter Zach Baron and it is directed by Cole Evelev and Noel Howard. "It’s hard for Dwayne Johnson to hide. Wherever he goes, there he is — as conspicuous out in the world as he is on the silver screen," the print profile says. "But after two decades of playing a version of himself in huge movies, suddenly he is ready to do something entirely new: vanish." You can see the video and read the feature at . ======================================================== ADVERTISING: (C) Copyright 1996-2024 Wrestling-Online.com ======================================================== |
