I'm in the process of learning CW, using the MorseMania app and I'm doing really well on instant character recognition, but I have 0 sending skills at the moment.
?
I'd like to use FLRIG or FLDIGI to send CW but I'm having problems... when I use the CW Keyer in FLRIG, it doesn't trigger the IC-7300 to transmit?
If I use the same application to do FSK Keyer - it works fine...? And so does the "PTT" and "TUNE" button on the main FLRIG window... ?
Anyone have experiences with FLRIG and the IC-7300 CAT PTT? Here is how I have FLRIG configured:

I just made another observation, when I click on "Xmt/Rcv" in the FSK Keying window, the PTT button on the FLRIG illuminates.?
When I click on "Send/Pause" in the CW Keying window, the PTT button light remains OFF?

On the 7300 Click Menu then Set then Connectors The USB Send Keying What are your settings in that window??? On my 7300 I have: USB SEND Off USB Keying (CW) DTR USB Keying (RTTY) Off On your second sceenshot of the PTT settings under PTT on CAT Serial Port in the first dropdown box set that to None. On the CW Keyer under the config I have selected Use CAT and for Keyline I have DTR selected. I can type in the window and it is sent and I can use the Macro buttons and they get sent also. If you have been doing a lot of changes it might be helpful to go into the Flrig directory and delete the settings file. 73 Rick N2AMG ------ Original Message ------
