Re: PTT with CAT - FT847
Thanks Mike, Joe and Dave. It looks like he will be OK for rig control. If it is a pre 8G05, FLrig may not like it. Hope not!

Re: PTT with CAT - FT847
I have an early FT-847, and I built my own home-brew interface ( audio transformers and level controls ) to include VOX PTT.? The radio does NOT have VOX, so I had to build my own and placed it

Re: PTT with CAT - FT847
Bob,
Yes, you can use CAT control with the DATA IN/OUT port (TRS connector on the rear) for digital modes.
I am an FT847 owner and do this all the time for fldigi, FT8, VARA HF and so forth.

PTT with CAT - FT847
Can one use CAT for PTT when using digital modes and using the Data In Out port for audio with the FT847?
Asking for a friend; I don't have an 847 to test. ( This won't work with a Kenwood.

Re: Yaesu FTdx5000 Macro Commands
Thanks Rich. Well, I've managed to get it all working except one minor glitch. When changing frequencies using the QSY command or clicking on a frequency in the freq window, the rig goes out of

Re: Yaesu FTdx5000 Macro Commands
It sounds as if you only have one-way communication between the computer and the radio: radio to computer only, not the other way. If the radio's CAT RTS menu is set to ENABLE, then the software

Re: Yaesu FTdx5000 Macro Commands
Thanks Mike. I figured it can be done; it's just a matter of figuring out which rig control to use and how to program the macros. I'm currently using Fldigi for rig control but have tried Hamlib and

Re: Yaesu FTdx5000 Macro Commands
Dave well so what happens with these are the frequencies do change in the Freq Window but the rig doesn't change which leads me to believe I don't have full CAT control for some reason. But as soon as

Re: Yaesu FTdx5000 Macro Commands
If I open the frequence window and double click on a frequency it will move to it. I'd like to be able to program a button to do the same thing.

Do you have this box checked in the General tab ?
On the Winkeyer Tab, mine goes all the way to 0
As far as the winkeyer not connecting, does it work with any other software ?
Maybe the Com

I hear BK is not really a prosign, but I'd like to make it one for the purpose of POTA.
Is it doable?
Also, I can't get the Farnsworth timing to zero-out in the Modem/CW/WinKeyer menu. It's stuck on
