The CW bandwidth is the width you set under the CW tab of the modem
menu. If you set a narrow bandwidth you may not copy stations that

You basically have two entirely different devices in your MicroKeyer II. One is the sound card codec. Opening that device for read and write should not effect the serial port that the interface is
