Hi Chris,
OK. Sorry about that.... have you
checked to make sure that Windows has not powered down your USB
ports?
Check in Control Panel, Power Options.
Make sure that the computer is not shutting down anything to save
power, and make sure that nothing is going into Hibernation or
Sleep....? all these things seem to be a problem.
Also check in Device manager, check
every USB device, Hubs included, and make sure that Windows cannot
shut down the USB devices to save power.
Actually, check everything in Device
Manager, even if it seems unrelated.
Also, make sure that the computer is
not set to shut down any of your displays. HDMI audio for your
display, going to sleep also causes problems.
?
Best of luck.

Hi Chris,
I am not a developer, but I will give
you a possibility.
I am not familiar with your
interface, but if you are running FSK for RTTY, then there
is a chance that your FSK port has gotten corrupted with
its association with Windows.
I have had this same problem, but
with a different interface.
While I do not use Fldigi for RTTY, I
use N1MM Logger, my solution is to
1) Shut down the RTTY program, in
your case Fldigi
2) Go into Device Manager and find
your FSK port
3) Uninstall your FSK port, BUT do NOT
delete the driver
4) Click OK to confirm that you want
to uninstall the FSK port.
5) Go to the top of the Device
Manager and click on Action
6) Click on Scan for hardware
changes.
The computer should find your FSK
port automatically and re-install it.
In my case this solved the problem.
With practice, you should be able to
do this in less than a minute when the problem occurs.
