I have difficultly identifying certain digital modes and variations of the modes.? When I see a certain unknown type signal, I start working my way down through the mode lists but have never been able to identify the mode before the transmission ends.? On rare occasions someone will send a RxID which of course tells the tale, but I'm curious how others are handling trying to select the proper mode when they see certain unidentified digital signals?
