Re: 1948 CJ2A
That is a _suhweet_ looking Willys... Is that an MB tub it's got? I wish my '48 looked anything like that nice. I think I'd have to buy a new tub, though. Mine'll never be that straight. Sean '48

Re: 1948 CJ2A
Of course we would like to buy our Jeep already running. If its not, then its a judgement call. If the 48 CJ-2A is truely in good original shape with very good body and interior, then it may well be

Re: 1948 CJ2A
I paid the equivalent of $4,000 for my 1948 CJ-2A - However, the Jeep only has 56K miles on it, a NOS body, new top, tires, etc. About as close to a new CJ-2A as is possible 50 years later. $2,000

Another 2-cents I purchased a 46 which "ran a couple years ago and just needed a clutch" paid $750 for a machine which looked pretty good. As it turns out the engine was seized (an F head) the brakes

Re: 1948 CJ2A
$2000 seems a little pricey for something that you can't see run. As another poster mentioned (lost that mail), there are other components of the drive train that can't be tested without a running

Re: ford rearend
My plan is to find a Mustang II and cut off the frame about a foot behind the front suspension. This should give me all the parts I need. I believe this will give me what the ads show for $2,000. I'll

Re: 1948 CJ2A
Hi Ken, Long time no speak. I think that $2000 for a CJ2A that isn't running is a bit much, but if the rest of it is in really good shape then it may be worth it. Sometimes an engine ends up being the
