Re: GPS Clock PCB

Ooops...never mind. I neglected to update the user_setup.h file.
Sorry about that...I've been immersed in the ?SDX world for a while and away from clocks. I hadn'd seen this version and it looks pretty spiffy. I'll probably not do it SMD, tho...those 100+ pin ICs are a bit beyond my skill level. :) Thanks for another cool project. 73...?? Mark |

Bruce...
What version of the TFT_eSPI library are you using for this? I'm getting a class TFT_eSPI' has no member named 'getTouchRawZ' error when I try to compile. I suspect I have a different version of the library than you used. Thanks & 73...???? Mark???? AA7TA |

Files section and Pocket Tutor 3D enclosure print files wanted
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI was just noticing that there are no files in this group's files section:/g/w8bhMorseTutor/files not a single file.? I know Bruce has the stuff for his Tutor's on his web site and gerbers on his github feed but others have contributed info to this group in files via messages but nothing is saved in the files section for reference in the future. With that said,? I wonder if anyone has a 3D STL file for the Pocket Tutor enclosure (for 3.2 inch display and other sizes) or has a link to one? Thank you. Jim Pruitt WA7DUY |

Re: What is a sub for DMP2054U-7
Jim, A good substitute is the DMG3415U.? If you cannot source either, let me know and I will mail you one. Good luck on your Pocket Tutor.? It is a challenging build! Bruce On Wed, Sep 22, 2021 at 3:12 AM Jim Pruitt <jpruitt67@...> wrote:

What is a sub for DMP2054U-7
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have been acquiring parts for the W8BH Pocket Tutor but am having trouble sourcing the DMP2054U-7 P channel mosfet.? Digikey has none and long wait.? Mouser has none and long wait,? Newark has none and long wait.? All 3 have searches for similar devices but find none.? What can sub for this part?I ordered some things from Newark and that was a HUGE MISTAKE!? I was charged $648 for my $173 order that was supposed to ship free and about half of it came from the UK including the MCP738310-2. At any rate,? if anyone knows a suitable substitute for the DMP2054U-7 I would be interested in knowing what it is. Thank you. Jim Pruitt WA7DUY |
Re: Cannot get EasyKey file to be recognized by Program
Hello Allan, I have not?seen this error before, but it?seems to indicate that there is no EasyKey.h file in your library folder.? I would check that first. Bruce On Mon, Sep 20, 2021 at 8:01 AM Allan Hale <hale.allanm@...> wrote:

Re: New Project: keyboard keyer
Good morning Murat. Morse decoders are fascinating,?aren't they?? I tried my hand at decoding with the Morse Tutor, which is able to decode your straight key input fairly well.? ?I was surprised?how well a simple decoding algorithm can do.? ?Of course, the goal in that case was to teach Morse Code. if your fist is sloppy, then bad decoding shows the user that they need to improve!? A goal of a real decoder is almost the opposite: provide good decoding in less-than-optimal conditions, adapting to the code speed, quality, and band conditions. Designing a real decoder is challenging indeed!? ?It is beyond the scope of my little keyer.? ?But, it would make a good project on its own.? ? Thanks for the great idea, Murat.? ? I hope you get the opportunity to try the keyboard keyer.? It is a lot of fun. Bruce ? On Mon, Aug 30, 2021 at 3:33 AM ta1db <mtologlu@...> wrote:

Re: New Project: keyboard keyer
Hi Bruce,
?
I follow your work with great admiration and interest. You do very good projects and you document them very well. I haven't been able to try your projects until now because I'm too busy with other subjects, but this keyboard keyer project can trigger me.
?
Have you ever thought about adding a "morse ( audio) decoder" to this project? With an audio input and screen printing of decoded morse signals, this project could become even more perfect. 73, Murat |

New Project: keyboard keyer
Here is a small project you might like:? a keyboard-to-Morse code interface.? I am working on the documentation now. Project Description:? Schematic:? Builder's Guide: User's Guide: Source Code and PCB:? I am still proofreading so I apologize in advance for any typos.? The source code and PCB gerbers are not yet public, but should be ready in a few days. As always, your comments and suggestions are much appreciated. Bruce |
