Re: Wiring Peco Electrofrog code 75
Check out this very nicely done post - https://dccwiki.com/PECO_Electrofrog That's what I do, then I also drop the wire from the frog and power it using a FrogJuicer (for manually-thrown turnouts).

Wiring Peco Electrofrog code 75
Hi all! My railroad is all Peco Code 100 with Insulfrog Turnouts and I'm just expanding a siding that's Code 75 with Electrofrog turnouts. I intend to use only ground throws on these turnouts and

Okay everyone, I think we have covered the non-DCC topic of what fonts to use in Groups.IO messages. I am closing this topic.

It's getting weirder. Gmail (website, firefox) on the desktop shows it as Comic Sans, which is perfectly legible. Gmail (app) on the phone (android) gives the cursive handwriting lookalike. Gmail

Re: Circuit Question regarding Capacitor
The cap and rectifier will present a near short circuit momentarily when first connected to the DCC signal. Once charged, the current will be low, so no problem. Adding a resistor between the

Re: Circuit Question regarding Capacitor
That makes sense. But is a resistor needed between the rectifier and the cap? I thought that a resistor would be needed to regulate the cap¡¯s charging. thanks. -- Dave Portland, OR

Re: Circuit Question regarding Capacitor
Been a long time since I've built a rectified voltmeter... The resistor allows current to flow back the the rectifier, and you measure the voltage across the resistor. You could also just use an AC

Relay coils, like all inductors, store energy in the magnetic fields they produce when energized. Inductors resist a change in current flow. When the driving solid state switch, or any switch, breaks
