The text formatting is probably dependent on the settings of your
e-mail composer. For instance, I use Mozilla Thunderbird, and in
the settings for Composition, I can control whether it's HTML,
plain text, etc. In my settings, I have it automatically send
according to what is in the message I'm reply to. My default is a
simple variable width font, medium size HTML.

messages in this thread are all in the standard, easy to read
font. I don't see any bold or cursive characters. Maybe the
messages are processed somehow as put into the digests?
Anyway, it's odd that some of us see the usual fonts and
others see bold or cursive fonts instead. Does anybody have a
good explanation for that?
