Moving the abortion discussion to this new thread, with a close look at Article 1 of the 14th Amendment, which I find especially interesting in its prohibition of "abridgment of privileges and immunities".? Seems to state quite literally and without context that my immunities are my own and not suject to infringement.
Further, it prohibits the derivation of any person's life, liberty or property without due process of law.? That would seem to make abortion and "civil forfeiture" 100% illegal.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
