Very nice V-6 Sunrader for sale in Illinois 7
If you are looking to buy a Sunrader RV, or are wanting to upgrade from your current RV to one that doesn¡¯t need any fixing, here is a link to the ad for an intentionally-restored one in Illinois. This Sunrader is rare because it not only has a more powerful V-6 engine, it also has a rare 5-speed manual transmission for more nuance of control and better gas mileage. Even though most folks in this group already have an RV of their own, if you have friends who are looking to buy, this one is worth taking a good look at. That¡¯s because it is NOT a project ¡ª unlike most of them that are advertised these days. Everything on this RV has already been tested and fixed. Whoever gets it should not have any of the common problems and annoyances that often come with other Toyota RVs that are for sale. This RV is definitely way above average. To see 94 photos, the price, and read more details, click this link and scroll to where it says ¡°Read More¡± to view the entire description. You can reply with your level of interest and give your phone number through the form within the ad. However this ad is getting lots views from wannabe buyers, so phone inquiries are given priority over online queries. Now here is the link: https://www.rvt.com/rvdetail.php?id=10945719

Selling our '84 Huntsman
Hi Group, Well, my wife and I just finished a conversation about selling our old '84 huntsman. We picked this up a few years ago so we could (group-ie) our favorite rock band across the country (some of you will remember). We drove from Dallas to LA to Las Vegas and back, with many stops along the way for 5-lug axle repairs! What a trip! Since I replaced the 5-lug with a 6-lug full floating, and was beginning to work on other fix-ups and upgrades. But... we can't do it. Status of vehicle; Runs Teriffic! (solar charger, starts right up today) Drives and shifts well Got average (11-18 depending on wind) mileage on that last long trip years ago Roof needs full repair Interior is OK Full Floating 6-lug rear-axle Installed larger propane tank needs water heater needs furnace fridge repaired and works well on battery, gas, electric house exterior needs rebuild (window gaskets and such) Anyway, we don't know how much to ask for it. We don't want to give it away, but it is time for someone else's creative energy. mark petryk dallas texas 469-556-5075

Air Conditioning 9
Sue, if you are still located in the South where it is humid, I suggest you first try hard to find a shop that still has the equipment to fill/fix R-12 auto air conditioning systems, if yours is still the original. Converting to the newer R-134a refrigerant will never work as well (keep you as comfortably cool) as the original R-12 refrigerant, unless you swap out absolutely every component. Yes, folks argue that the R-134a refrigerant is a lot cheaper, but it is not directly compatible with the R-12 components. You can expect to spend perhaps $1500 to get the original system fully working again, or perhaps that much to swap out everything for an R-134a replacement system. Either way, auto air conditioning is an expensive luxury. To keep it in perspective, ask anyone from our parents¡¯ generation if you still can (born in the ¡®20s and ¡®30s), and they will tell you how they simply drove across the country without it.

Side view mirrors 3
Working my way around the new camper, and the driver's side upper flat side view mirror has a huge crack across the middle. Can I replace just the mirror? I haven't been able to find a new one online. Thanks, Sue 1992 rear bath Itasca

Air Lifts Bags
More repairs, oh boy! I was happy to see the little nozzles at the rear driver's side wheel well, thinking the rv had air lifts -- but I can't find 'e under there! Soooo, try Load Lifter or Ride Rite? Thanks AGAIN, Sue 92 rear bath Itasca

Bilstein Shocks and Air Conditioning
Well, I did it again -- bought ANOTHER toyhouse! Number FIVE! This one is a lovely 1992 rear bath Itasca, and it has basically been sitting since 2019. Definitely not as smooth riding as my 1993 rear dinette Warrior. So I want to put on new shocks, are the Bilstein ones still the best? I read back on the previous posts, are these the right ones? BIL24-002585 BIL24-184830 AND the cab AC isn't working, would y'all recommend doing a conversion, or a complete replacement for the AC? Just got it yesterday so I'm sure MORE stuff is going to come up, but got a really good price so plenty left to monkey with it! Thanks, Sue Crowe LongTimeLurker!

Spare tire mount on rear bumper, 1991 Warrior 6
What's the recommenation for or against carrying the spare tire on a bracket fastened to the rear bumper rather than its current location underneath the house body? Seems to me like the extra weight would be similar to towing a trailer, and yet I see many of these toyhouses on the road with rear bumper spare tire mounts. Any of you carry your spare on the rear bumper and have there been any issues?

water inlet
Hello. Does anyone have experience with changing the water inlet for hooking up hose for a 87 Seabreeze. I've looked inside to see how it's connected but can't see anything. Do I have to undo the screws and pull from the outside? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Cost of restoring 1990 Warrior 4
Hello, I have a 1990 21ft Warrior, V6, mileage almost 60k, which hasn't been driven for over 10 years, and obviously requires a lot of work. I am not able to do much work myself, and it does not seem to be easy to find a shop in my area (Philadelphia), to get at least an estimate. I may consider delivering it to a distant shop, but before I start looking for reliable one, I'm asking you guys for your opinion: what cost of bringing a neglected Winnebago to usable conditions may I face? Thank you, -walter

leaf spring bushings and cruise control 3
I have a 1987 Dolphin 4 cylinder and need the leaf spring bushings replaced. One repair shop said they could not get them anymore. Finding that hard to believe I thought someone might be able to supply me with a part number of a good set to use. Also the original cruise control is not working. Are these usually repairable or will I need a new one installed. Thanks for any assistance¡.Ken Virus-free.www.avast.com

V6 mileage 13
I keep seeing posts here and elsewhere from people who claim 15-18 MPG from their V6 toyhouses. The best I can do is around 14 and sometimes it's closer to 13 and occasionally less. It's a 1991 Warrior V6 auto (aren't they all V6 autos?), rear bath. Tires are Load Range D pumped up to 60 PSI (but prior to that I ran Load Range C at 50 PSI without a significant difference). I try to keep it at 60 MPH or below, and use overdrive and cruise control when I can. I've had the injector system rebuilt and radiator fan replaced a few years ago for a different reason, and the difference was not noticeable. Plugs and wires have been replaced and the air system and filter are clean and unblocked. Just wondering if mine is about normal and those who are getting 16+ are just lucky.

Downshifting from overdrive 4
Traveling straight and level at 60 MPH in overdrive. Start up a hill and the speed starts to go down. At a certain speed, maybe around 50-55 MPH, or at a certain engine RPM, the transmission should downshift out of overdrive on its own. Mine does that sometimes. More often, though, it stays in overdrive as the speed continues to bleed down, and I have to take it out of overdrive manually. I don't mind doing that, and often when I see a hill ahead of me and I know there is no way to make it to the top with overdrive on, I'll turn it off at the bottom of the hill before I start to climb. But it's a little annoying that I have to do that; it should downshift on its own at the appropriate time. 1991 Warrior, 3.0 V6, auto. Any idea why it's doing that?

1991 Warrior V6, any benefit with a turbo?
Just wondering if anyone has looked into adding a turbocharger to the 199x V6 in a toyhouse. Any benefit to power or economy?

BRAKES...1990... DUAL REAR TIRES 12
Just came from mechanic... I asked for front brake job. After an panic stop ( freeway ramp, downhill, coming around curve, came up on stopped traffic.... Brake pedal pressed very hard, slowing down but not as fast as I would have liked, although I did hear tire chirping from the rear (I think). After that pedal would go down further than before. Next morning pedal pressure was better, some squeaking from front breaks. Thought I needed new front brakes, mechanic says all looks ok 1/2 brake pads still there and disk looked ok. (74000 miles). I asked them to flush the 30 year old brake fluid from master cylinder out to each slave cylinder... this firmed pedal pressure. They mentioned one thing that did not make sense... to replace brakes on the rear, the axels would have to be pulled. $185.00 on top of the brake parts and labor. Is that normal? 1991 Winnie Warrior - spare tire and aux fuel tank 6
On the 1991 Winnie Warrior, does anyone make an aux fuel tank that mounts where the spare tire is now (under the camper body)? Can the spare tire be safely moved to the rear bumper? I've seen many toyhouses that have that but thinking about all the warnings against towing trailers, seems to me like a spare tire mounted on the back bumper would put quite a load on the rear frame extension when driving over bumps in the road.

Tranny temp gauge? 17
Hi, we'd like to add a temperature gauge for the automatic transmission to our 1986 Odyssey. I've looked around a bit online, but can't find any specific info how to do this, or what type of gauge we should get. Was hoping someone here could point us in the right direction. :) -- Best regards, Susanne mailto:siskiou@...
