tinySA with a larger screen

Bill Cromwell All Messages By This Member #1266 Hi Dale, I was concerned about that (not yet available). There have been some hints that somebody is considering the larger screen. My tired old eyes can still read the smaller screen. When the larger screen is available I will probably buy right away. Another option is to use the computer software and whatever size display you have for your computer. I have a 31 inch HDTV through the HDMI port on one of mine:) There is no trouble seeing anything on that! It is not very portable though. Portability may not be a real issue most of the time. The confusion arises from the lack of the capital letter to describe the system name,? indeed with Windows (with a capital letter) the confusion would have been avoided? (for me). I chose windows because it? was cheap on sale left over whatever and for the price of less than a dinner out I was willing to take the risk. It doesn't yet run my NanoVNA because its missing a DLL and I did not have time to hunt it down. Unfortunately it seems Android tablets cost a little more but then there are 360 pages to go through if you do a search and I did not go through all of them. Also, full featured Android software (connected via OTG USB-C cable) would allow my 10 inch tablet to run as display / control. I suspect he will do the same thing with any larger version of the tinySA.? There is a current world wide shortage in electronic components and 4" displays, so I suspect that will impact the time frame for introducing any larger version of the tinySA.? The 4" NanoVNA-H4 and 4" NanoVNA-V2N currently produced by hugen are already in short supply.? The 4.3" display used by the NanoVNA-F is a parallel display and requires more pins to interface with and different display drivers than the tinySA/nanoVNA devices. ? ? Its been well over a year since the introduction of the tinySA and the only major software application that has appeared for it is tinySA-App.? The development of tinySA-App is due to the contribution of developer OneOfEleven who was kind enough to allow Erik to use her original code base for NanoVNA-App.? Erik's primary software development environment is Windows based so his capability to produce applications for other operating systems is most likely limited.? Hopefully other? Kieth Swaney All Messages By This Member #5603 Agreed. Patience is important. They seem to have no poll for wanted features for the larger (e.g. 4.3 inch) version. For example, I would like to see it have buttons, to replace the poor quality jogwheel.? For example, for the NanoVNA-F, they released both a wheel version and a newer button version (I use the latter).
