Did you notice a change in the low output level becoming incorrect or did did you only recently notice that the output level was incorrect at low levels?
It seem a specific switch has been bad all the time or has become bad.

The impact of this switch not working properly is only noticeable in low output mode when doing low output levels,?

I think I have read everything there is to read about this issue but I'm still struggling. I bought the TinySA some time ago from R&L but didn't use it much until lately, and I have primarily used it as a signal generator. Yesterday I noticed that the output level was not right when I got to around -30dBm so I thought a software update might be in order. I went from?tinySA_v1.0-91 to V1.4-40. I then did a level cal and self test. The result was Signal Level Critical and Attenuator fail.?

I assumed the attenuator chip was bad but when tested with per Erik's instructions using MEASURE/MORE/LINEAR it looks fine. I don't quite know what is going on with signal level test #10 but I wonder if that being bad makes the attenuator test fail.?

Level offset low/high were 1.2 and 100 before update and they are now -3.6 and 0.0. Changing them back to 1.2 and 100 causes other self test to fail. The correction table did not change and looks like the default values I have seen posted many times.? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I see it in the CONFIG menu.? It prompted to Enter DFU, and then I had to switch off and on.
It now appears in the Config Menu.? I got mine 2 days ago.

Serial "pause" command disables battery and voltage display #tinysa

 

Hello,

I have just discovered a small discrepancy in the tinySA firmware:


Sending "pause" via USB serial disables the battery display in the lower left screen:


Capturing without pause shows the battery:


Same does pausing via menu "DISPLAY/PAUSE SWEEP":


This is a minor issue, it exists since some time, my oldest capture without battery dates from 13-Nov-2022 (v1.3-493):

This may be a dumb request - When having the Connection menu open, put text on the screen telling the user how to get into DFU mode? It would be for existing TinySA users who are used to DFU being a menu option.

Have a look at the menu tree in the wiki
If it's not in your menu, you may have to update the FW or search as the location of the menu item has changed over time.

Hi Sam,

Due to the already cramped space on the 8.5" x 11" page size it would take a lot of work trying to resize everything (and the fonts are already pretty small in most places) so I would suggest doing what I do with my documents and that is buy some sheet protectors like .? I have another brand I'm using which looks like this:

I re-saved as PNGs with Windows Paint and they went via email fine.?? Thanks that is an easy fix for me in the future.

Thanks, I can view them fine on my PC Win10.? They just do not email properly.? I have tried Thunderbird and the Comcast Web email system. ? I am certainly not sure it is because they are 16bit, just a shot in the dark.

If you can open the screen grab on your computer you may be able to do a screen capture on your computer and save that capture as jpg or png file
Most document editing software will allow importing of the bmp file
