I get that all the time since I updated my box over a year ago. This works
for me:

I get the cannot open port message right away
Select OK
On the about screen select OK

1. Select READ
Load your 6 designs
2. Select OPTIONS
PORT Mine always is at FIRST AVAILABLE
Arrow down and select FIRST AVAILABLE again
Select OK
This is the only way I can get designs on my card.

Can anyone recommend a Hooping Aid to help me embroidery on tiny baby
onesies that do not open? it would have to have a way to HOLD
TIGHTLY. the sticky stabilizer isn't enought to hold it OPEN so the
embrodiery field is clear.

I'm going to get to do mine for Brandi tonight. I can't wait!!! I've
been wanting to do this since I finally read the e-mail string a couple
of days ago, but I have been busy both nights and not able to sew.
Tonight I will finally have time. I also printed out a card for her.

What a wonderful idea this is, and I certainly hope it fills her with
cheer and hope. I have a good church friend who has just been
re-diagnosed with cancer and we're fearing the worst. She's only in her
mid-40's with five children. I'm going to make one for her, too.

Thank you, Sonia, for doing this for Brandi. What a world this would be
if only we all spread around more love and less hate!

So much is new at Spirited Stitches! I have learned a new way to create
the images that represent the designs. I am very excited because the
pictures are now much more accurate to what the actual stitchouts look
like. I've switched over most of the design images already but have the
fall and christmas designs left to change.

Well, I had a jar too.

My daughter has been having problems the last week or 2 (blood pressure, dizzy, heart racing, etc) we just called our health department because we have TWO jars of the peanut butter that is being recalled. (one is half empty) My daughter eats peanut butter on her waffles every morning and she doesn't start getting sick till nighttime. (normally her symptoms) were at night (not during the day) The doctor just called us back and said it takes 8 to 12 hours for it to run through your system. So if you eat it, you won't feel sick till (at night) She ate some this morning on her waffles, he said to watch her for the next 3 days and if it gets worse to bring her in so they can do something about it. He also told us NOT to throw out the jars so that we could "prove" that is what made her sick. He told us NOT to take them back to Wal-Mart etc. That is what the company wants you to do, if you throw them out or take them back you have no proof their product made you sick. I just wanted to warn those that are throwing them away or taking them back to the store. I am GLAD to know what was making her extremely sick but sick to think it's something that could of been prevented :(

All of my designs are manual punch and test sewed.

TIP: Be sure to have a little square of solvy to place across the
face and other tiny areas that stitch, this way the jump threads
are very easy to get to and cut. I keep a small piece beside the
sewing machine all the time for using like this.

I know most of you all love Embird. I am sure I would too but I got
Digitize and Stitch with my machine. I am having a hard time
figuring it out (which makes me feel about dumb as a rock because
every where I read says it's easy to use.. I have spent a few hours
today alone trying to figure out what I am doing wrong.)

If, anyone runs this program at all and can maybe spear a little
time to help me out.. Oh, I'd be so happy.


Please take pitty on this fool here. Please..lol..

My problem is I have a logo I want to digitize. I can get it into
the program. Once there it either just fuzzes out or if I unclick
the color reduction (it'll look fine..which I can only do if I do it
under Motif) but I lose it after that step and there is no where to
save it.

I clicked the link that Sherry gave and this is what it says

I don't know why I would be banned though. I don't really remember the
posting rules specifically but if there was a rule that said I have to
post to be a member then maybe that is why I was banned. I never
posted on this group so I know it wouldn't have been because of flaming
or anything like that and to my knowledge I do not belong to any groups
that share illegal designs. I guess if I am not wanted I will just
stay in my little corner and sulk to myself but can someone please
email me privately the answer to the picture contest.
