I get that all the time since I updated my box over a year ago. This works
for me:
I get the cannot open port message right away
Select OK
On the about screen select OK
1. Select READ
Load your 6 designs
2. Select OPTIONS
PORT Mine always is at FIRST AVAILABLE
Arrow down and select FIRST AVAILABLE again
Select OK
This is the only way I can get designs on my card.
