Re: Brandi-NEW UPDATE

I sent 2 angels off today,Vickie
Sonia Showalter <thedesigner@...> wrote: Thank you Jan and all the others...there are so many of you with such kind words and who were so happy to send an angel. I am still amazed at the response for this young lady. Brandi is going to be receiving her first batch today. I counted 48 on Wednesday and 50 more arrived Thursday!!! She is back in the hospital with another infection and had minor surgery yesterday. I don't understand exactly, but something with her colostomy bag. They are planning another surgery next week. My husband says she really needs some cheering up so the angels are arriving at the perfect time. Originally my idea to do this was because she had been home and feeling a little better ( though nowhere near healed) and I thought the angels would lift her spirits feeling the love and prayers from so many wonderful people. Also, give her something to be excited about and give them all something to talk about that wasn't, doctors, hospitals, or disease. But now, her need for your angel gifts is even greater! WOW, the timing is a God thing...he certainly had a hand in this! Thank you all, this family is emotionally and physically exhausted. Last time she was hospitalized, it was for months and the parents were spending twenty hours a day with her. Please pray that somehow, this hospital stay won't be so long. These infections need to stop. Thank you all again and I can't tell you how blessed I feel calling you all friends. No need to respond, Sonia. I'm sure you're tired, too.
I stitched out my angel for Brandi last night in a Sulky red/pink variagated thread, and it turned out beautifully. She's been put in the mail today. Although this one is only flying from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, she might not get it until Monday. I'm also keeping her in my prayers. I have a 15 year old daughter, a 17 year old son, and a 20 year old son, all healthy, thank the Lord. I can't even begin to imagine what her parents have been through with this illness with their children. May all our love and prayers surround all of them. And thank you, Sonia, for this beautiful angel. I'm now stitching them out to give to members of my church who are contributing to a fund to allow two high school children of a women of our congregation who is dying, to go on a school band trip. The parents can't afford to send them (they have no medical insurance!) and although the trip is not mandatory, they had signed their children up to go on it last fall. Perhaps they were hoping to be in better financial postion by March, but just last week we found out that the mother's cancer is back with a vengence, and it looks like it's really serious this time (in the bones). Anyway, I organized a plea at my church to help pay the children's trip accounts, and I'm so pleased at the love and support we've gotten. So your angel will go out to those wonderful people who are helping this family. Sorry for the long post. If you all have an extra moment while you're saying your prayers, could you please remember Barb and her family? Thank you, and God bless you all, my stitching buddies! Alison in Texas |

my stuff. The bad part is the things I find that I forgot I had and I get excited all over again about making something. Like the pink peachskin fabric for cuddly jammies or a nighty and the mile of white turtleneck fabric now that I am down to only two presentable ones and they are both red which I rarely wear. Probably why they are still around! Marcia ----- Original Message -----

FS: 50 spools of YLI Woolly Nylon Thread
I have got 50 spools of YLI Woolly Nylon thread for sale. Most of these are
brand new packs. I believe each one is about 1100 yards each. There are solids, verigated, as well as metallics. I took a lot of pictures so you can see what you are getting. This is a great price on all of this. These came out of mom's stash that we are trying to clean out. Here is the link: I am asking $150.00 which does include shipping in the US. Paypal preferred but will take a money order or cash. Please tell me when you contact me privately if you will be using paypal or snail mail, otherwise your email may not get answered. I usually give folks 8 hours to confirm (and pay when using paypal) that they are going to buy something. If I dont hear back from you within 8 hours, I move to the next person. That just keeps me from having to wait for days because unfortunately some folks will do that. email me privately at Scutterbear@... as I am on digest and may miss it otherwise. Thanks for looking. "I love to Sew"
B. Rogers & B. Good
Please help- Where can I find Sewing motifs? At Martha Pullen last week I saw a woman with a shirt with three similar sewing motifs. One was a woman at a sewing machine, one had woman with a dress form and next had woman with hand sewing. Any "Love of Sewing" motifs would be so wonderful to have.
Thanks you in advance. Bunny in Georgia |
Re: Fried Amazing Box?
Cyndi Jannello
I have owned an Amazing Box for 9 years and only had a problem in the beginning until I learned to put the memory card in before I opened the Box.
I love the box and it sure opened up a whole new world in that I am no longer limited to the cards made just for my machine. Recently I could have upgrade to the new "Max Box' and decided not to do so, I am happy with my Amazing Box. Good luck with getting yours back to a working ! Cyndi J. Re: asking ? about stabilizer

The Stabilizer is called "Heat-Away Brush Off Stabilizer" it is made by Sulky.
It is heat sensitive to woven fabric that disintegrates with a hot iron, then brushes away. Of course I can't tell you this first hand I am reading it off the package of Heat Away that I bought 2 years ago and never used. Come to think of it I got a lot of stuff in my sewing room like that. If I would clean out all the stuff I bought because I was going to try it, I would have a lot of room in my "thimble size" sewing room. Peggy in P'cola |
