who were so happy to send an angel. I am still amazed at the response for this young lady. Brandi is going to be receiving her first batch today. I counted 48 on Wednesday and 50 more arrived Thursday!!! She is back in the hospital with another infection and had minor surgery yesterday. I don't understand exactly, but something with her colostomy bag. They are planning another surgery next week. My husband says she really needs some cheering up so the angels are arriving at the perfect time. Originally my idea to do this was because she had been home and feeling a little better ( though nowhere near healed) and I thought the angels would lift her spirits feeling the love and prayers from so many wonderful people. Also, give her something to be excited about and give them all something to talk about that wasn't, doctors, hospitals, or disease. But now, her need for your angel gifts is even greater! WOW, the timing is a God thing...he certainly had a hand in this! Thank you all, this family is emotionally and physically exhausted. Last time she was hospitalized, it was for months and the parents were spending twenty hours a day with her. Please pray that somehow, this hospital stay won't be so long. These infections need to stop. Thank you all again and I can't tell you how blessed I feel calling you all friends. Sonia Showalter Angel of Light Old World Nativity ----- Original Message -----

Re: I need help with Digitize N Stitch software (does anyone use this?)
Using Digitize 'N Stitch...
I would love to help you out with this program. There are mini tutorials posted on the Yahoo group: It is a Yahoo group, so you will have to join to read the tutorials. But is is free and very helpful. Give me an idea of what you are attempting and I will try to sort is out for you. One thing that confuses a lot of people is that 'OPEN', opens already formated designs so that you can use them for additional embellishments, appliques etc. To digitize, you user the tool bar on the right side. The 2 balloons (kinda look like Qs) take you to the wizard where you open images to begin the process. Holly |
Re: Hooping Aid for Baby Clothes
baby....Can anyone recommend a Hooping Aid to help me embroidery on tiny I have easily and successfully done really small items by hooping Amazing Designs Stabilize It!-self adhesive tear away plus the following technique. This stabilizer has a release paper. Using the smallest hoop that will comfortably hold the design, most likely 4"x4", hoop the stabilizer with the paper side up. Lightly score it (I use an old needle which I keep nearby-drap it ligthly across the paper, and then lift it up) and remove the release paper. You can mark a target zone on the paper with a pencil. Have the target zone marked on the garment and match them up. Now, since the garment is a stretch fabric, you want to float a piece of Stabilize it, light weight no-show mesh under the hoop. Depending on what section of the onsie you are working on it might help to turn the garment inside out before 'sticking' it in place. Then you can roll it away from the design area and sort of work in a tube. Once the garment is stuck down, either baste, by machine or hand, or use st. pins, well out of the path of travel of the presser foot, and pin the 4 corners. Sounds like a lot but it is really quick and easy. Holly |
Vickies bookmark question
Hi Vickie, I am still learning machine embroidery myself, but one
suggestion I have would be to use permanent felt tip markers to disguise the stabilizer left on the edge of the bookmark. This is not my original idea, but one I have seen others suggest and has helped me out in several areas. HTH! |

Re: asking ? about stabilizer
Sew-N-2-U
There is a fabric etching product that is used on cutwork, but it only works on
certain types of fabric. I believe it works on natural fabrics. So if you are using a synthetic thread, it would only "dissolve" the fabric and stop at the thread. I hope someone else can help me out here. I have only seen chatter about it and haven't used it. Patty *NEW* Artwork for digitizers _____ From: HookedOnEmbroidery@...
