OT: computer help
shesews4em
Hello group. My computer has started to act funny. It was working
just fine then last night Internet Explored decided it would not open any web pages. My dial up connection is fine, I checked for the dial tone on the phone, and there is a function to check the modem, and that is fine, too. Surely there must be a spot somewhere for me to click and have everything working again??? So many of you are so much more knowledgable than I am, and I hope you can help me solve my problem. Thanks--Joyce |

PES files will not open in my software - all I have is the Bernina ARTLink that came with the machine. ARTLink is not an editing software - I can view the designs, and it will tell me what version of ART has been used, how many stitches, how many color changes, size of design. I can "Save As" a different version of ART (up to ART 4). I have tried changing the file extension on a PES file to .art - but ArtLink would not read that either. I really appreciate everybody's trying to help me! Thank you all so much! But it's still not working. (small sniffle and whimper ...) Margaret in Maryland |
Re: Bernina can use PES
Mary Lou
Margaret in Maryland: You can not just change a file extension.
The file has to be converted from one to another - Have you tried. HUS or JEF - then convert them - I know that HUS converts better to XXX format than PES does. While PES may be used by more Embroiders, it takes up more room and I've found that when converting to the format I need - I use HUS or JEF. Or can you get it PEC - that is also a brother format - It may convert for you. Mary Lou Come see "WHAT'S NEW" at Mary Lou's all I have is the Bernina ARTLink that came with the machine. ARTLink is not an editing software - I can view the designs, and it will tell me what version of ART has been used, how many stitches, how many color changes, size of design. I can "Save As" a different version of ART (up to ART 4). but ArtLink would not read that either. so much! But it's still not working. be in art format. Pes files will open in the software & then "savedas" an art format. I'm not sure if any other software besides Artistafolder with PES files in it, the screen shows me ... Nothing! |

February Sampler at Embroidery Studio
It's Sampler time again! What else could February be but hearts and roses?
These perennial Valentine favorites create a beautiful sampler that celebrates love. The six part set has 2 focal designs, a border, corner and 2 scatter designs to mix and match and create your own sampler. It's shown on a quilt block in the Project Link and on the homepage. Like all the Samplers in the series, it's fun and versatile. All the designs work beautifully together to create a traditional sampler and are great as separate designs too. You'll find the FEBRUARY SAMPLER-I LOVE YOU in the new section of Designs. |

For your 200 to read embroidery files, they have to be in art format. Pes files will open in the software & then "saved as" an art format. I'm not sure if any other software besides Artista will convert to art or not. I haven't found any.
