I too use the folders with a theme, then sub folders so I can find designs without hunting through thousands and some designs are in several folders ie. Redwork Santas are in Redwork, and the Christmas sub folder Santas. I was attempting to burn back up cds only to find out a virus had attached itself to one of the files for my burning software and my virus protection detection had deleted it. Since I bought my computer from a rental place, it didn't come with the original software cd's, and now I am saving toward buying the software from the maker. I think the main thing in organizing your designs, is to find or develope a system that works for you. I know some people find my folder system to be a headache, and just stick designs for all occasions into folders with the creators name. That would never work for me, but I do have folders for my favorite digitzers, as it is easier for me look for their designs that way.
